Shanhai Territory.
Thunder Swamp.
A giant alligator, about twenty meters long, swayed its body as it flew through the sky with surprising speed. From a distance, it resembled a huge dragon. In fact, it was indeed a dragon—a Pig Dragon.
Luo Xiu and Luo Ying were sitting on the giant alligator's head. Luo Ying sat behind Luo Xiu, her slender, jade-like hands massaging his back and shoulders as she whispered softly to him.
Following closely behind the giant alligator were a giant python and a hippopotamus. Wind swirled beneath them as they soared through the clouds, their flying speed only slightly less than the alligator's.
Dou Dou rode on the hippopotamus's back while Yaya was perched on the giant python's neck. Both girls were urging their mounts to fly faster, as if they were in a race.
Not long ago, Luo Xiu had taken Luo Ying's advice to make the Three Bandits of Thunder Swamp his mounts, placing them under a Divine Consciousness Forbidden.
...
"Hehe, Boss, how do you like this genuine crocodile-hide mount? Comfortable? It's not too rough on your rear, is it?"
Luo Xiu was lost in thought when the King of the Poisonous Crocodile's voice pulled him back.
"It's fine," Luo Xiu replied blandly, thinking the alligator was a simple-minded chatterbox.
"But you'd better be careful, Boss. Don't move around too much while sitting. My skin has poisonous spines that are long, thick, and full of deadly venom. If, by some chance, they poke you and sister-in-law in the rear, I'll be guilty of a grave sin."
Luo Xiu's face darkened. "Can you shut the hell up?"
"Eh, you got it, Boss."
There was a rare moment of silence, but it didn't last long before the King of the Poisonous Crocodile spoke up again.
"Hey, Boss, next time I shed my skin, I'll have it made into a belt and a pair of boots for you. The quality is freaking amazing and they'll last for hundreds of years without wearing out. I guarantee you'll be satisfied."
Luo Xiu asked curiously, "Crocodiles shed their skin?"
"Of course. Every time I break through to a new realm, I shed my skin."
"And to be honest, the clothes I wear in my human form are made from my own shed skin, including crocodile-skin underwear. It's really comfortable. Speaking of which, I still have a few limited-edition pairs. I don't just give them to anyone, but would you like a couple, Boss? The size might be a bit large, though; you'd have to get Silkworm Mother to tailor them."
"I'm telling you, that Silkworm Mother has a huge butt, but her tailoring skills are pretty good. The clothes she makes are awesome!"
Luo Xiu sighed silently, having no desire to engage with the chatterbox.
Just then, Luo Ying spoke up. "Hey, Pig Dragon, I have a question for you. How many people came from the Upper Realm this time?"
The King of the Poisonous Crocodile whined, "Oh, come on, sister-in-law, can you please not call me Pig Dragon? It sounds so awful!"
Luo Ying just smiled faintly, ignoring him. She turned to Luo Xiu and said, "Young Master, crocodile meat should be delicious if we cook it in the Kun-stewing Divine Cauldron. Besides, this demon alligator's limbs will regrow soon after being cut off, which means we'll have an endless supply of crocodile meat."
Hearing this, the King of the Poisonous Crocodile shuddered in fear. Is that something a human should even say?
"Uh, hehe... Actually, I think 'Pig Dragon' sounds pretty good. It's got 'dragon' in it, which is so domineering! And it's full of deep, literary meaning."
"Boss, sister-in-law, let's make it a happy decision then. No take-backs!"
"If you dare call me anything other than 'Pig Dragon' from now on, I don't care if you're my boss and his lady, I'll start a feud with you! We can have a fight to the bitter end!"
"Just think, I am the King of the Poisonous Crocodile, peerless in this world, a sovereign ruler! Only such a name is worthy of me!"
Luo Xiu and Luo Ying glanced at each other and couldn't help but laugh out loud. Suddenly, they found this simpleton quite amusing.
From then on, there was no King of the Poisonous Crocodile, only the Pig Dragon. And many years later, the mention of that name would inspire only deep, abiding fear...
Luo Ying said, "Answer my question from before."
The Pig Dragon replied, "I'm not exactly sure how many people came down from the Upper Realm, but the group that came to Thunder Swamp are all disciples of the Swordfire Divine Sect. There are about forty-something of them."
"That Lu Songtao, whose head you crushed with your little fists, sister-in-law, was one of their best. But he has several senior martial brothers who are likely stronger than him. You'll need to be careful if you run into them later. You just focus on the fighting, and I'll cheer you on from the sidelines. Let's kill these Upper Realm devils!"
Luo Xiu asked, "How much longer until we reach the Burial Sword Tomb of the Thunderstorm?"
"Almost there, almost there! With my unparalleled flying speed, we'll be there in an hour at most."
"By the way, Boss, what's your relationship with Grandpa Kuang Pi? I can tell you're very worried about him."
Luo Xiu said, "What are you trying to say?"
"Erm... well, as far as I know, the reason Grandpa Kuang Pi has always stayed at the Burial Sword Tomb of the Thunderstorm is that he's guarding a secret treasure."
"This treasure is related to the Ancient God Ruins, but I don't know the specifics."
"I'd guess, though, that those Upper Realm devils are after Grandpa Kuang Pi because of that treasure."
"Of course, you don't need to worry, Boss. Grandpa Kuang Pi is incredibly powerful. The fact that he's survived several harvest ceremonies proves he's strong enough to protect himself. Those Upper Realm devils won't be able to touch him, at least not for a while."
...
Time passed, drop by drop.
Approximately an hour later, Luo Xiu and his companions arrived at the Burial Sword Tomb of the Thunderstorm. But even before they officially entered, Luo Xiu could see rolling dark clouds and flashing lightning in the sky ahead. Thunderous booms echoed across the sky in a terrifying display. He could even occasionally hear the deafening roars of Kuang Pi.
Clearly, a massive battle was taking place!
"Faster."
"You got it, Boss!"
Soon after, when Luo Xiu finally saw Kuang Pi, he found the great bear trapped within a Sword Array formed by a group of Divine Sect Disciples. But Kuang Pi stood within it, and though he was covered in wounds and bleeding nonstop, he remained undefeated! In contrast, many of the Divine Sect Disciples were dead or injured.
At that moment, a middle-aged man was standing proudly on his sword in The Void, directing the disciples controlling the Sword Array. Suddenly, the man frowned and turned to look at Luo Xiu's group.
"I was planning to deal with you after finishing off this stupid bear. I didn't expect you to deliver yourselves to my doorstep."
The middle-aged man's name was An Shanhai, and he was the head disciple of the Upper Realm's Swordfire Divine Sect. Before Lu Songtao died, he had crushed a Soul-leading Jade Talisman. Through it, An Shanhai had learned of Lu Songtao's death. The Divine Sense emitted by the Jade Talisman had also shown him the scene Lu Songtao saw right before he died. Therefore, he knew that Luo Xiu and his group were the ones who had murdered his junior martial brother.
Luo Ying's expression turned solemn. She slowly rose to her feet on the Pig Dragon's back and said to Luo Xiu, "This person is very strong. I'm afraid it won't be easy for Ying'er to kill him quickly. Young Master, you must be careful."
