The Forsaken's Revenge

Chapter 128 Chen Zheng's Fury

He was confident that Chen Zheng would accept the condition to protect Yan Lili.

"Your appetite is like an abyss, truly unmatched," Chen Zheng's voice was as cold as ice, chilling to the bone.

"Stop wasting my time with your nonsense. Are you going to give me the shares or not?" Huang Yingying's voice was sweet as honey, yet it carried an undeniable threat. She had already calculated the value of the 20% stake, and the staggering profit had driven her completely mad.

"Don't be hasty. He can take his time to consider," Zhong Jiang said, acting like an old fox with everything under his control.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for successfully triggering a selection mission.]

[Choice One: Agree to Zhong Jiang's request and receive the following reward: A Small Goal.]

[Choice Two: Refuse Zhong Jiang's request and receive the following reward: Longevity Secret Art.]

Hearing this, Chen Zheng immediately chose the second option. He glanced at the two of them and stated indifferently, "Of course I won't give you anything."

"What did you say?" Zhong Jiang's expression froze, and a flush of disbelief spread across his face.

"You're nothing but insignificant clowns," Chen Zheng said with disdain. He ignored them and walked straight toward the safe.

"Chen Zheng… you don't know what's good for you…" Zhong Jiang burned with rage, cursing aloud.

However, just as the words left his tongue, Chen Zheng's presence suddenly became as terrifying as an abyss. An immense pressure erupted from him, roaring through the space like a meteor exploding in the night sky. Zhong Jiang and Huang Yingying felt as if a mountain was crushing their shoulders. Unable to resist, they were forced to their knees.

"W-what's happening…?" Fear and confusion filled their hearts. They tried to speak but found their voices sealed by the pressure, unable to utter a single sound.

At this moment, Chen Zheng had reached the safe. He could feel the mysterious power within him connecting more intensely. His hand rested lightly on the metal as he sank deep into thought, and the pressure emanating from him lessened slightly.

Feeling he could speak again, Zhong Jiang hurriedly shouted, "Chen Zheng, don't do anything rash! If you agree to my demands, I'll release your sister immediately!"

However, Chen Zheng completely ignored him. Instead, he increased the pressure, forcing Zhong Jiang and Huang Yingying flat against the ground.

"Cough, cough…" The fear in Zhong Jiang's eyes intensified as he stared fixedly at Chen Zheng. In the next second, an utterly shocking scene took place.

With a gentle wave of his hand, a longsword gleaming with an eerie light appeared in Chen Zheng's grasp. Like a magician, he elegantly thrust the blade toward the sturdy safe.

SCHIING!

Before the blade's edge, the titanium alloy safe was as fragile as paper, instantly sliced in two. Zhong Jiang watched in horror, his worldview utterly shattered in that moment. He finally understood what Wei Zhao had once told him: "That man is definitely not simple." What he didn't realize, however, was that Wei Zhao had still grossly underestimated Chen Zheng's strength.

BANG!

With a loud crash, Chen Zheng tore open the front of the safe and yanked the heavy door open. He elegantly cradled the unconscious Yan Lili in his arms, a hint of murderous intent flashing in his eyes. With a slight circulation of his True Qi, the yellow tape binding her was instantly shattered into dust. Life-giving True Qi flowed into Yan Lili's body like a gentle stream, washing away her grogginess as her mind began to clear.

"Brother?" she asked, her eyes filled with confusion. Memories replayed in her mind like a film, and suddenly grasping something important, she cried out urgently, "Brother, we have to go! Zhong Jiang and Huang Yingying…"

But before the warning could fully leave her throat, she was struck speechless. She saw Huang Yingying and Zhong Jiang collapsed on the ground like two startled fawns, their eyes wide with disbelief, their terrified gazes fixed on her and Chen Zheng.

"Don't worry, Lily. I'll handle it," Chen Zheng's voice was low and firm. He gently patted her head and turned to face Huang Yingying and Zhong Jiang. "Just wait a moment. I need to deal with them first."

He retracted his imposing aura. Like a tiger about to pounce, he walked steadily toward them.

As Chen Zheng moved, the pressure on Huang Yingying and Zhong Jiang vanished. Without a second thought, they scrambled to their feet. Under his gaze, they fled like hunted rabbits. A bone-deep terror, as cold as winter snow, seized them as they ran.

However, Chen Zheng merely watched them with profound disdain, as if looking at two insignificant ants.

Suddenly, Li Yitong burst forth like a tiger descending a mountain, moving with Thunderous Might. She took a single step, appearing directly in front of the fleeing pair, and slapped her palm out gently.

THUD! THUD!

Two muffled impacts rang out, followed by screams, as their bodies were sent flying back to land at Chen Zheng's feet.

Damn it! Are they even human?! Panic swirled in Zhong Jiang's heart like a leaf in a storm. He tried to get up, but the intense pain rendered him immobile.

At that moment, an incredibly terrifying aura washed over them, causing Zhong Jiang to tremble uncontrollably. Chen Zheng's figure appeared before them like a phantom, his gaze as cold as a glacier, seemingly capable of freezing all life in the world.

"Chen Zheng, what on earth do you think you're doing? Don't forget, we live in a society governed by laws! You can't just trample on them!" Zhong Jiang cried out, his fear like a leaf in a storm with nowhere to land.

"Ah! I don't want to die!" Huang Yingying shrieked in terror as the carpet beneath her grew damp with an unknown liquid.

"Heh, so you do understand that this is a society of laws?" Chen Zheng's voice was as cold as ice.

Zhong Jiang was speechless, his entire body stiff as if frozen solid. Chen Zheng lowered his sword, and a sliver of Sword Qi began to drift slowly toward Zhong Jiang.

"Don't! Don't kill me! Murder is a crime! Chen Zheng, don't do something foolish! Please, spare me! I'll never do it again, I swear!" Zhong Jiang knelt on the ground, his face a mask of despair and terror, feeling as if his life was about to end.

Huang Yingying clutched her head, anguished tears streaming down her face. Her regret was like an endless night swallowing the only light.

"Brother, stop!" Yan Lili's voice echoed in the air, a gentle breeze filled with deep concern.
