The Forsaken's Revenge

Chapter 224 Reversal!

"I'll let the woman go, but you have to keep your promise!" After a moment of hesitation, the Lone Wolf finally chose to compromise, slowly releasing his grip on Feng Yueyue. He then began to back away slowly.

"Stop!" At that moment, Zhao Feng appeared, blocking the Lone Wolf's path. "You can leave, but the item stays!"

The Lone Wolf sighed helplessly, realizing he had no chance left. He took a burlap-wrapped package from his coat, placed it on the ground, and then vanished with his men.

Zhao Feng didn't hesitate to pick up the package, which he personally handed to Chen Zheng.

Chen Zheng felt its weight, a faint smile touching his lips. But his smile was filled with an endless chill. "Continue the lockdown and hunt down Poison Wolf. Kill him on sight!"

"Understood!" After receiving the order, Zhao Feng went over to Feng Yueyue and untied her hands.

Once free, Feng Yueyue spat the gag from her mouth, throwing it to the ground with gritted teeth. She glared at Chen Zheng, her expression icy and devoid of thanks, before turning and striding quickly toward the exit.

"This..." Zhao Feng was taken aback. If it weren't for us, she'd probably be dead. And now, not only is she ungrateful, but she has this attitude?

"That's just how women are. You get used to it," Chen Zheng said, shaking his head with a bitter smile. Of course, I understand why she's so angry. What I said to the Lone Wolf made her feel like she wasn't important. That must be it. But it was just a tactic to stall him. If he'd really tried to kill her, I wouldn't have just stood by and watched. I would have saved her, even at the risk of getting injured myself.

Meanwhile, the crowd outside was still murmuring amongst themselves. A long time had passed with no sound from the parking garage. Even the earlier sounds of fighting had fallen silent.

"That kid is even weaker than I thought. He probably didn't even last a single round against them!"

"There's no point in waiting any longer. The boy and his men are almost certainly..."

Liu Changhai hadn't finished speaking when a woman's figure slowly appeared before them. She was tall, likely in her twenties, and dressed in black casual wear. Although she looked a bit disheveled, it couldn't hide her unique aura or her beautiful face.

"Miss Feng!" Yuan Qishan and Gao Feng exchanged a glance and hurried forward to greet her.

Long Tianyun and the others narrowed their eyes. They hadn't expected Chen Zheng to actually rescue her.

"Miss Feng, are you all right now?" Yuan Qishan asked with concern.

"President Yuan, I'm fine now. I'm sorry to have made you worry," Feng Yueyue replied, her expression remarkably calm. "As for our collaboration, we can continue our discussion this afternoon. For now, could you please take me back to my hotel?"

Everyone was stunned. They couldn't believe she was talking about work right after being rescued. She just escaped a life-or-death situation. Shouldn't she be breaking down in tears? Her composure alone was enough to astonish them. She truly is the daughter of Feng, the God of Wealth. Her abilities are extraordinary!

"Of course..." Yuan Qishan waved his hand, summoning the driver.

Seizing the opportunity, Long Tianyun stepped forward. "Excuse me for interrupting, Miss Feng, but I'd like to know what happened in there. Did Chen Zheng really defeat those men?"

"You mean that mysterious fellow?" Feng Yueyue frowned. "I didn't see him fight my kidnappers. But one thing is certain: he's the one who saved me. Please thank him properly on my behalf."

Regardless, she had been released because of him. For that reason, Feng Yueyue didn't want to speak ill of Chen Zheng, but that didn't mean she had a good impression of him either.

Long Tianyun wanted to ask more, but Feng Yueyue had already gotten into the car, which quickly drove away and disappeared from sight.

Chen Zheng and Zhao Feng then walked up from the garage, followed by several trusted aides carrying bodies, which they placed casually to one side.

Seeing this, Long Tianyun, Liu Changhai, and the others stared wide-eyed. They never imagined that Chen Zheng had actually eliminated all of them.

"Trainer Chen, did you get it?" Long Tianyun asked, looking at Chen Zheng with a complex expression.

Chen Zheng was holding a burlap-wrapped box, which was clearly the item he had recovered. I wonder what kind of treasure is inside... Still, even if it's the greatest treasure on earth, it has nothing to do with us anymore.

They had settled the terms before Chen Zheng took action: anything he recovered would belong to him.

"Since the matter is resolved, we'll be leaving," Chen Zheng said with a slow nod, not wanting to linger.

"Hold on!" Liu Changhai called out just as Chen Zheng was about to leave.

"Is there a problem?" Chen Zheng's brow furrowed.

"Trainer Chen, whatever treasure is in there, I deserve a share!" Liu Changhai said, pointing at the burlap-wrapped box in Chen Zheng's hands. "If I hadn't risked my life to hold them off and wear them down, how could you have finished them so easily and gotten your hands on this prize? In this operation, my contribution was the greatest! Others might not be qualified for a share of the spoils, but I certainly am!" Liu Changhai declared with utmost confidence.

Hearing this, the onlookers were taken aback for a moment. But when they glanced at the wound on Liu Changhai's abdomen, they suddenly felt he had a point. If he hadn't charged in to engage their enemies and deplete their strength, Chen Zheng might not have succeeded.

"Trainer Chen, we can forgo our claim on the item, but Master Liu put in a great deal of effort and was seriously injured. It's only right that he gets a share," Long Tianyun added. She wasn't trying to target Chen Zheng; she simply believed in giving credit where it was due, and Liu Changhai had indeed played a part.

"What did you say?" A cold smile touched the corner of Zhao Feng's mouth. "You think your contribution was the greatest?..."
