The Forsaken's Revenge

Chapter 418 Bewildered

His strength was at the initial stage of Foundation Establishment, but Chen Zheng's had already reached the late stage of Golden Core. There was simply no comparison between them.

The slap landed squarely on the man's face. Instantly, one side of his face swelled up, and blood began to trickle from the corner of his mouth.

The man was terrified. He never imagined Chen Zheng would dare to attack him here. Isn't he afraid of being arrested?

Glancing around and seeing no one, the man's mind raced as he instantly decided to flee.

"Want to run?" Chen Zheng's lips curled into a cold smirk. "Do you think you can get away?"

Seeing the man's attempt to flee, he strode after him. Feeling the fierce gust of wind at his back, the man shuddered and sprinted away desperately. But as fast as he was, Chen Zheng was faster.

Within a few breaths, Chen Zheng had caught up.

"Chen Zheng, I'm warning you! If you dare to bully me again, my father will never spare you!" the man threatened through gritted teeth as Chen Zheng closed in.

"Haha!"

Unfortunately for him, Chen Zheng paid him no mind, slapping his shoulder and sending him flying.

THUD!

The man crashed heavily to the ground. The impact made him feel as if his internal organs had shattered, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood. His face turned deathly pale, and he looked like he was about to faint.

"Kid, do you know who I am? How dare you injure me!" the man threatened, his finger trembling as he pointed at Chen Zheng.

Chen Zheng sneered. "I don't care who you are. If you dare to provoke me, you must pay the price. And what I hate most is being threatened."

As soon as he finished speaking, Chen Zheng grabbed the man's neck. "Do you believe I can strangle you to death right now?" he asked coldly.

The man's face instantly turned beet red. His eyes bulged, nearly popping from their sockets, and his complexion shifted from white to blue, then to a ghastly purple. His features twisted in agony. On the verge of suffocation, he felt a sharp pain shoot through his body, forcing a miserable howl from his lips.

"You... you... let me go! If you kill me, the King of Southern Border will tear you to pieces!" the man gasped, struggling desperately.

Just then, a series of sinister chuckles echoed around them.

Hearing the laughter, the man felt a bone-chilling cold run down his spine, and his scalp prickled with terror. He looked around wildly and saw that quite a few people had gathered. His father and several elders were standing nearby, watching him with mocking amusement.

"Father King! Save me!" Upon seeing them, the man immediately tried to lunge toward his father.

However, his speed was far inferior to Chen Zheng's.

In just a few strides, Chen Zheng was in front of him again.

The man was so scared he felt his soul leaving his body. He wanted to escape, but unfortunately, Chen Zheng gave him no such chance.

With a swing of his right arm, a bowl-sized hole appeared in the man's chest. He spurted out a mouthful of blood.

"Father King, save me!"

"Father King! Please save your son!" the man shrieked at Chen Zheng in horror.

Chen Zheng simply stepped on his body, crushing him into a bloody pulp.

"AAAH!"

This scene stunned everyone present, completely dumbfounding the members of the Nanzhou Royal Family. At that moment, they all felt a primal, soul-deep terror. An intense sense of danger washed over them, making them tremble involuntarily.

"You... you dare! You... you..." one of them stammered, staring at Chen Zheng with an expression of pure horror, unable to form any words.

Seeing this, the members of the Nanzhou Royal Family felt their souls escaping their bodies in terror.

"All of you, get out," Chen Zheng said coldly.

Hearing this, no one dared to linger. They all fled the room, including the Prince of the Nanzhou Royal Family.

"You... you'll die a dog's death!"

Seeing everyone leave, the first man, who was still on the floor, had a face contorted with rage. He tried to curse, but only managed to spray out a mouthful of blood before fainting.

"Oh my God, did that really happen? That Chen Zheng... he killed the young master of the Nanzhou Royal Family with just one blow!"

"I saw it! He punched the young master's head, and it just burst like a watermelon!"

"Hiss! That's... that's terrifying. I feel like I'm about to wet my pants!"

"The young master was the number one expert of Nanzhou's younger generation, and he was killed with a single punch!"

"That was just one punch. If there had been a second... can you even imagine?"

"Unbelievable! Simply inconceivable!"

"Now I get it. I finally understand how he dared to provoke the young master of the Nanzhou Royal Family! Turns out... he had the strength to back up his words!"

The crowd stared at Chen Zheng, their faces a mixture of awe and shock.

"I hope that didn't offend any of your family," Chen Zheng said, turning to the woman who was also present.

Hearing this, the woman's complexion changed dramatically as she looked at him in utter terror.

"My father is the Great Elder of the Nanzhou Royal Family! If you dare to harm him, you will face the full wrath of the entire Nanzhou Royal Family!" the woman said fiercely through gritted teeth.

"I'll be waiting for him," Chen Zheng smirked and waved his right hand.

The woman's world spun as she was sent flying, slamming heavily against the wall before crashing to the floor. She lay there, dizzy and disoriented.

"My father will never forgive you! Just you wait!" the woman shrieked hysterically, scrambling back to her feet.

Chen Zheng glanced at her and shook his head. He lifted his foot, pressed it onto her chest, and prodded her with his toe. The pressure cut off her breath, leaving her gasping, unable to inhale.

"I... I beg you, let me go. I'll agree to whatever you want!" the woman pleaded, her face deathly pale.

She finally understood. She had provoked someone she never should have crossed.

Chen Zheng listened to her plea, a slight frown on his face. "And what is it you want?" he asked indifferently.

At these words, the woman's pupils shrank.

"As long as you don't kill me, I can work for you! I can even provide you with a generous fortune!" the woman said, her expression fawning.

She knew if she didn't offer a tempting enough bargaining chip, she would surely die. Her fate was in her own hands.

When Chen Zheng heard this, he raised an eyebrow. "Oh? I'm curious to hear what you're willing to offer in exchange for your worthless life."

"I can be your slave! Just spare me this one time!" The woman lowered her proud head.

"A slave? Do I need one?"

Chen Zheng sneered, then suddenly lifted his foot and stomped down fiercely.

"AHHH!"

A shrill scream echoed through the heavens. At that moment, the woman could no longer maintain her elegance and composure, letting out a scream like a pig at the slaughter.
