The Strongest Prodigy Doctor

Chapter 527: End of the Red Moon

"Understood! Understood! I assure you, nobody will bother you, sir!"

At that moment, the Northern Guardian wanted to chop his uncle into pieces for provoking a cultivator.

If that old swindler knew the Northern Guardian was thinking this, he would be too aggrieved. Who knew he would end up deceiving a cultivator?

He often boasted about knowing cultivators and having strong ties with them, using his name to freely deceive people, asking just for seventy percent of the money earned.

However, Ye Tianfan was unaware of their thoughts. After warning the Northern Guardian, he went upstairs, and the shopkeeper, seeing this, pouted and personally sent up his meal. Although he didn't earn extra, he had disrupted business at his inn for the day and had to compensate somehow.

Indeed, in the following days, Ye Tianfan sensed some people were constantly guarding the inn. When he went out, they secretly surrounded him and kept some people away.

Ye Tianfan could also guess that these people were likely sent by the City Lord or other city wall guardians, but the Northern Guardian, fearing for his life, blocked them all. He feared that if someone unknowingly provoked Ye Tianfan, and then Ye Tianfan blamed him, his life would be in danger.

Thus, Ye Tianfan spent several relaxing days without any disturbances. If he bought too many things, he'd just put them down, and someone would deliver them intact back to the inn.

After a few days, Ye Tianfan was reluctant to leave as his time here was so pleasant. Everything was pre-arranged for him no matter what he wanted to do.

But today, the Red Moon of the Ancient Wilderness ended, and Ye Tianfan knew it was time for him to leave and embark on a new journey.

He reminded himself he wasn't here to enjoy, but to train himself, to become stronger. Comfortable environments were but fleeting clouds; once he returns to his original world, the enjoyment there would be much greater.

Ye Tianfan went downstairs and checked out with the shopkeeper.

Although he hadn't paid for the room, it was still courteous to inform them about leaving.

The shopkeeper knew that the end of the Red Moon meant Ye Tianfan would be leaving, so he didn't try to keep him but informed him of two pieces of news.

First, a family in the Ancient Wilderness had recently been wiped out. Second, someone was searching for the killer of the Demon Wolf Beast Group, and nearby traces of a battle had been found, including a feather, a Black Gold Crow Feather. It's uncertain if it's related to the killer of the Demon Wolf Beast Group.

Therefore, the shopkeeper reminded Ye Tianfan to be careful on the road. Although he didn't reveal any information about Ye Tianfan, it's possible someone has already found out about him and sold the information.

Ye Tianfan acknowledged, feeling somewhat incredulous; he hadn't expected someone to seek revenge for the Demon Wolf Beast Group. Could those beasts have been reared by humans?

But that wouldn't make sense, as they still capture humans to eat.

Perhaps the group he exterminated was different from the one being hunted, as there were many Demon Wolf Beast Groups throughout the Ancient Wilderness.

Ye Tianfan quickly dismissed this thought. After all, the battle traces, coupled with finding the Black Gold Crow Feather nearby, likely pertained only to the place where he fought earlier.

This meant they were searching for him.

Ye Tianfan couldn't fathom, that killing a few demon wolf beasts would lead to someone looking for him.

Ye Tianfan summoned his flying sword right at the inn's entrance and flew away.

In the vast desert, a slight breeze rolled the tawny sand toward his face. Ye Tianfan flew idly, searching for a demon beast to train against, as he had rested for several days and felt his bones were almost rusty.

At that moment, Ye Tianfan saw another group walking through the desert.

But Ye Tianfan didn't pay attention to them, assuming they were just ordinary people, perhaps merchants.

As Ye Tianfan prepared to bypass them, he suddenly noticed a path appeared in front of them. Following this path, Ye Tianfan saw a massive camp slowly appear ahead.

In the camp, smoke billowed toward the sky, but the flickering flames revealed some unrest.

Ye Tianfan activated Eagle Eye to inspect the camp, discovering they were roasting meat. Beneath each column of smoke, there was a pile of firewood, with each stack topped with roasting meat.

Flying closer, Ye Tianfan began hearing some chaotic noise. It seemed this camp was lively; he didn't know what type of camp it was, and didn't intend to go down because he had rested enough during the past week. Entering the camp meant only resting—what else had he done except rest, and restful days weren't acceptable.

Just as Ye Tianfan intended to swiftly pass overhead, suddenly a bird's cry sounded from above.

"Caw caw caw!"

Upon hearing the cry, Ye Tianfan glanced toward the source and spotted a jet-black crow circling before him, loudly calling towards him.

"Is that... a Black Gold Crow?" Ye Tianfan saw the glossy, metallic-reflecting crow, and instantly recalled what demon beast it was; after all, he had eaten it just days before.

Since this demon beast came to him, he might as well deal with it and roast it.

But at that moment, Ye Tianfan heard the camp below start to stir.

"Alarm! Alarm! There's someone overhead! Archers prepare, add poison, ready crossbows, add poison!" A shout suddenly resounded from the camp below.

Hearing this shout, Ye Tianfan looked downward, noticing they were fully armed, and had archers and crossbowmen aiming at him. The arrows reflected a green hue, indicating the poison appeared potent.

Ye Tianfan was puzzled; how did ordinary people gain the confidence to confront a cultivator?

With several hundred eyes glaring fiercely from below, Ye Tianfan felt uncomfortable and planned to accelerate, flying out of the camp's range. However, he then heard shouts from the camp below.

"Listen up, person above! You're now surrounded by our poison arrows. Slowly descend and hand over everything you have, or we'll shoot you down directly."

Ye Tianfan chuckled at this; clearly, they hadn't experienced a cultivator's wrath.

Arguing with you all would be beneath me, so farewell!

Ye Tianfan accelerated, aiming to leave that place.
