The Strongest Prodigy Doctor

Chapter 606: Setting Up Camp

"Return to Senior Uncle Zhichu, we are still about seven apartment buildings away," Ye Tianfan shouted from above.

"Seven buildings? That's not far at all." Immortal Zhichu nodded and then asked Ye Tianfan to come down, planning to retrieve the array banner two more times, and then they would be able to leave this area surrounded by evil qi.

After Ye Tianfan picked up the array banner twice more, they were able to walk out of the area surrounded by the evil qi.

After Immortal Ping Chu removed the array, they walked about thirty kilometers, as it was not possible to rest immediately after coming out; setting up camp wasn't an option at the moment.

Ye Tianfan and his companions instructed the survivors to temporarily set up camp around thirty kilometers away, while they awaited further rescue efforts.

Their most urgent task was to eliminate this ominous area encircled by evil qi.

At this point, Immortal Zhichu asked those disciples whose spiritual power had not recovered to return to report these matters to the sect and request reinforcement from all the sects under heaven to come and help eliminate this ominous area. Of course, these ominous areas did not include those of the Demon Sect.

After Li Ming and the other disciples left, Ye Tianfan placed Immortals Yuan Chu and Zhen Chu in a tent, which Senior Brother Yun Tian generously provided. Lu Waner was placed separately in another tent.

Immortal Zhichu began to treat them in detail. Previously, only an emergency treatment was given; now it was time for thorough healing.

The upcoming coordination tasks were handed over to Immortal Ping Chu.

With Immortal Ping Chu's guidance, Ye Tianfan and the others went out to chop wood, turning them into pillars, and used their fire-element immortal technique to dry them.

Thanks to the swift preparation of raw materials, the survivors soon erected many simple houses, allowing the elderly, weak, sick, and pregnant to move in first, followed by the women, and lastly themselves, the robust men.

Once the survivors had finished constructing the simple houses, Immortals Yuan Chu and Zhen Chu woke up simultaneously, their bodies now free of evil qi.

"Senior Brother Zhichu, quickly find a way to leave here and report to Senior Brother Sect Leader that a huge conspiracy is underway," Immortal Yuan Chu said anxiously after awakening and seeing Immortal Zhichu finishing his work.

"Alright, speak slowly, we are no longer in Copper Gong Town. We have set up a temporary camp nearby. I have already sent Li Ming and the others back to report, so someone should be arriving soon. I just don't know which junior brother will come," Immortal Zhichu said calmly.

Upon hearing this, Immortal Yuan Chu sighed with relief and then shook his head, saying to Immortal Zhichu, "No, Senior Brother, you wouldn't believe who Junior Brother Zhen Chu and I saw inside."

Curious about Immortal Yuan Chu's mysterious demeanor, Immortal Zhichu asked, "Who did you see? Surely not the Demon Sect Leader Zhang Youji?"

Immortal Yuan Chu replied, "They are much more dangerous than the Demon Sect Leader Zhang Youji!"

Ye Tianfan watched the survivors tidying up these temporary homes neatly, exhaled a sigh of relief, wiped the sweat from his face, and then sat down to rest.

Ye Tianfan had exerted the most effort just now, not only chopping wood but also drying it, which required fine manipulation and constant control. If the flame was slightly weaker, it wouldn't dry; if slightly stronger, it would burn or scorch the wood.

After drying so many pillars, Ye Tianfan was truly drenched in sweat.

While Ye Tianfan was fanning himself with his sleeve, suddenly a child approached him, cradling a bowl. The child slowly ran over, handing the bowl to Ye Tianfan and said, "Immortal Grandpa, have some water!"

Upon hearing this title, Ye Tianfan was left speechless. Immortal Grandpa? Was he that old? He instinctively touched his chin, finding that he wasn't that old at all. Why was he being called grandpa?

The child, seeing Ye Tianfan not taking the bowl for a long time, was on the verge of tears, cautiously saying, "Immortal Grandpa, this bowl of water is clean. Bao Er washed the bowl before filling it, so Immortal Grandpa shouldn't disdain Bao Er."

Ye Tianfan immediately snapped out of it, seeing the child's aggrieved face, took the bowl with one hand, gently patted the child's head with the other, and said soothingly, "How could Immortal Brother ever disdain Bao Er? Immortal Brother just got lost in thought and inadvertently ignored Bao Er. Immortal Brother apologizes to Bao Er."

Ye Tianfan cleverly changed the title from Immortal Grandpa to Immortal Brother, thinking that given his age, Immortal Brother was much more fitting than Immortal Grandpa.

Bao Er, being young, was no longer upset after hearing Ye Tianfan's words, yet still bit his finger in confusion, asking, "Immortal Grandpa, my mom said to call you Immortal Grandpa, but you call yourself Immortal Brother. So should Bao Er call you Immortal Grandpa or Immortal Brother?"

Ye Tianfan playfully tapped Bao Er's nose and said, "Of course, call me Immortal Brother. Immortal Brother doesn't look as old as the immortals in the tent; they are the Immortal Grandpas. I am Immortal Brother. Bao Er is so smart; this makes sense, doesn't it?"

Bao Er pursed his lips, looked up at the sky, and nodded. "Yes, Immortal Brother is so young, he surely can't be called Immortal Grandpa. From now on, Bao Er will call Immortal Brother, Immortal Brother!"

"Yes, exactly!" Ye Tianfan laughed and patted Bao Er's head, relieved at having corrected the title. Otherwise, being a young lad just over twenty, being called Immortal Grandpa by this little child was not appropriate at all.

If called Senior Brother Yun Tian, that might be acceptable, as although Senior Brother Yun Tian doesn't appear old, his actual age is already over a hundred, nearly two hundred years old.

But Ye Tianfan was young, just in his twenties, and strongly objected to this title.

Luckily, it was easy to persuade a child. If he had tried this with an adult, his efforts would likely have been in vain, as adults tend to be more steadfast.

Ye Tianfan looked at Bao Er and felt that children were definitely easier to convince!
