The Strongest Prodigy Doctor

Chapter 621: Return

The Zhumo Wolf Horse chuckled and snorted, then rubbed its head against Ye Tianfan.

Ye Tianfan turned around, preparing to walk down.

But the Zhumo Wolf Horse grabbed Ye Tianfan's clothes with its teeth and tugged backwards.

Ye Tianfan turned, puzzled, at the Zhumo Wolf Horse, unsure of its intentions.

Ye Tianfan then saw the Zhumo Wolf Horse duck its head under him, nudging forward, and suddenly Ye Tianfan found himself sitting on the back of the Zhumo Wolf Horse.

Turns out the Zhumo Wolf Horse wanted him to ride on its back to take him down the mountain.

Just as this thought popped into Ye Tianfan's mind, the Zhumo Wolf Horse accelerated, dashing downhill.

The other Zhumo Wolf Horses followed suit, trailing behind.

On the treacherous cliffs, the Zhumo Wolf Horses were like nimble monkeys, safely jumping to and fro.

Ye Tianfan was so frightened he broke out in a cold sweat and clung tightly to the Zhumo Wolf Horse's neck.

When this Zhumo Wolf Horse reached the platform Ye Tianfan had previously seen, Ye Tianfan realized the speed was a hundred times faster than his climbing.

Though the speed was terrifying, as Ye Tianfan dismounted from the Zhumo Wolf Horse, he found his back soaked.

Not to mention, his legs were trembling.

Once he was back on the ground, Ye Tianfan said nothing, only shakily patting the Zhumo Wolf Horse's head, then summoned the Xiaoyao Sword to leave quickly; it was too frightening.

With a misstep, Ye Tianfan realized his legs were trembling, something he hadn't noticed before.

Ye Tianfan worked to steady his emotions, then stepped forward again, this time securely.

Then Ye Tianfan hurriedly flew downward.

Soon enough, Ye Tianfan distanced from Wolf Horse Peak and flew towards Copper Gong Town.

On the way, Ye Tianfan astonishingly ran into someone unexpected.

"Junior Brother Tianfan!"

Ye Tianfan heard someone calling for him and quickly slowed down to see who it was.

Turning around, Ye Tianfan discovered it was Senior Brother Yun Tian calling him.

"Senior Brother Yun Tian? Why are you here? Have you finished finding the materials?" Ye Tianfan asked curiously, as six days had already passed out of the week's deadline.

Ye Tianfan had only found the Holy Light Ore and remnants of the Xiantian Fire.

"Yes, I've already found them. Though these materials aren't so common, they aren't exceedingly rare either. I got some from the sect and exchanged some at the Hundred Treasures Pavilion," Senior Brother Yun Tian said after flying to Ye Tianfan's side.

"Hundred Treasures Pavilion?" Ye Tianfan, curious about this new term, asked.

"Junior Brother Tianfan didn't know about the Hundred Treasures Pavilion? Of course, Junior Brother Tianfan has good fortune, and doesn't need the pavilion to exchange for treasures," Senior Brother Yun Tian laughed and began explaining to the confused Ye Tianfan: "The Hundred Treasures Pavilion is like a black market where you can exchange various items. The difference is, the pavilion is legitimate, recognized by both orthodox and evil paths globally. Everything inside is legal. The black market will exchange anything, even slaves, whereas the pavilion doesn't have such things."

"I see! Does the Hundred Treasures Pavilion have the Xiantian Fire?" Ye Tianfan asked, planning to exchange for it during the remaining day if possible.

Hearing Ye Tianfan's question, Senior Brother Yun Tian awkwardly shook his head and replied, "I asked, but they don't have it. The Xiantian Fire is too rare, and besides its use against malevolent forces, it doesn't have much effect on non-evil items, except for being somewhat hot. Maybe when we return, Uncle Yuan Chu can ask other sects if they have it, then we might use it temporarily."

"Will they lend it?" Ye Tianfan hesitantly asked. In his previous world, people were passionate about internal strife even in crucial times, showing little regard for the majority's survival.

"Of course they will, Junior Brother Tianfan, why do you think otherwise? And we wouldn't keep the fire seed, as long as we don't, the Xiantian Fire can be used at a small cost. Moreover, we're not using it privately but to eliminate the evil qi, for which all orthodox sects had collectively established rules," Senior Brother Yun Tian explained.

"What?" Ye Tianfan was bewildered, surprised so many sects had specially made rules for the Xiantian Fire: "Actually specially made rules for the Xiantian Fire."

"No, you've misunderstood—it wasn't specially made for the Xiantian Fire," Senior Brother Yun Tian interjected Ye Tianfan's words and elaborated: "The rule covers all materials and magical treasures; if our Taichu Sect has them in such events, we must let them use it for the sake of the world, but if unused portions remain, they must be returned, otherwise, we can disclose the sect's information to all orthodox paths, so that the world's cultivators may refuse all dealings with them, leading to significant penalties and reconsideration of their right to the 'orthodox' title."

Ye Tianfan was utterly stunned by the strictness.

Ye Tianfan always thought cultivation meant freedom; he never expected surveillance from jointly participating orthodox sects.

But this was good, as an unchecked sect could slowly change its ways, and with oversight, if a sect truly falls, others can identify it as no longer worthy of the orthodox title.

Hearing this, Ye Tianfan was amazed that such governance could exist; it was like a head teacher managing students—those who turn bad are moved from good classes to bad ones.
