The man stared at Raze, he scanned him from head to toe, shocked to see that the person who was given his space was a child. His expression shifted into one of pure rage.
"So this is the person that took my room? How dare the Crimson Auction House disrespect me like this." His voice thundered, already pulling different hostesses and workers of the auction house to see what was going on.
"Why the hell are you shouting? Are you a madman by chance?" Raze couldn't help but ask, his question immediately rubbing the man the wrong way as expected, his eyes widened.
"What did you just say?" he asked. "Do you know who I am?" he barked, reaching out to grab Raze by the shirt, but Raze stepped back, the hand missed him, and the man stumbled forward, slamming his head into the door.
"Count!" "Count!" his guards bellowed and rushed forward.
'Hmm? So he is a Count?' Raze thought.
"Don't touch me," he barked. "Grab that brat."
The guards looked up, their eyes pinned on Raze, they immediately got up to grab him.
"Who dares to cause a scene in my auction house?" Lady Terra's voice cut through the air, bringing everything to a standstill. They all looked back and saw her standing there, a heavy frown on her face.
She spotted the Count as well as Raze there and her frown deepened. The Count, seeing that Lady Terra was here, readied his hands and one of the guards grabbed him to help him up.
In that moment, his sleeve went up and revealed a mark on his wrist for a short moment, but Raze saw it and knew what it was. It was the mark of a seven-pointed star, the mark of the vile demonic cult.
'He is a traitor,' Raze thought. He watched the Count, while everyone looked at Lady Terra, even Ella had come out as well to see what was happening.
"Lady Terra, thank you for coming," the Count said, giving a slight bow, and then he pointed at Raze.
"This brat was placed in my room, and now that I have come to politely ask him to leave it, he attacked me," the Count said.
"I see," Lady Terra said, then looked at Raze. "Did you do what he said?" she asked.
Raze shrugged his shoulder. "If I attacked him, he would have a few broken bones at least," Raze said.
"You brat—"
"I've heard enough," Lady Terra cut the Count short. "Count Liam, I'll have one of my hostesses take you to a comfortable and nice room, if that is not an issue," she said.
The Count's eyes widened as he heard that. Rather than the kid, he was the one being sent to another room. He was a well-known merchant and a Count, his goods had been sold in this auction house multiple times, and yet somehow he was getting disrespected like this?
"Lady Terra, how can you ask me, one of your greatest partners, to go and sit somewhere else while you have this kid here after what he did to me?
After everything I have done for your auction house?" he asked.
"Count Liam, I hate the fact that you believe your input is needed to keep the auction house afloat, and the fact that you consider yourself a big partner.
Sure, you have done a lot, but we do not need you, nor will we ever need you. So please do not make any more of a scene, the auction has begun. You can either take your seat or leave." She spoke clearly, getting her point across to the Count.
The Count froze. He couldn't take this disrespect. On a normal day, he would have walked out of here, but he needed that sword, so with an angry grunt, he turned and left. Lady Terra signalled a hostess to show him a room. She was reluctant, scared to go, but for the sake of her job, she went along.
Lady Terra looked at Raze, and without saying anything, she gave a nod and walked away. Murmurs exploded amongst the workers after she left, talking about what had happened.
Raze and Ella returned inside the room to watch the auction, but while it was ongoing, his attention was no longer there.
'Why is a member of the cult here, and why is he a Count? Does it mean he is a traitor? And what exactly does he want?'
Questions filled his mind, and the only way for him to get answers was spying. He used God's Eyes, immediately scanning the area, searching for the Count, and he found him sitting inside another room.
Raze began watching carefully for anything. Minutes went by, but nothing happened, the auction was ongoing. Not until close to the end of the auction, when a black sword was brought by a beautiful hostess.
The moment the sword came in, Raze saw the Count immediately pick interest. He slammed his palm into the table, activating the magical circle on it used for bidding.
"This is a sword brought to us from the merchant house of Count Liam, a great artefact made from black steel and obsidian, and engraved by one of the best. The starting price is a hundred gold coins."
Immediately, the bidding started, everyone throwing out their bids. The Count tapped his table and then spoke, "Five hundred gold."
No one knew he was the one, so when the voice boomed over, they were all stunned. Someone had already gone that high? But the bidding didn't stop there and continued growing.
'Why would he bid on something from his own company? This doesn't make sense,' Raze thought and then looked at the sword. He used God's Eye to look at it, and instantly he got the answer why. He could sense a condensed amount of demonic energy inside of it, the exact type from the infected, so instantly he knew that there was something going on.
And as the trouble he was, he was going to shatter their plan. He placed his hand on the table and activated the formation as well. "A thousand gold," he called out.
