Klaus chuckled. "Well, it does make sense. Mimir's words about SSS Class Beast Spirits loving their Beast Masters because they're extremely rare." He crossed his arms, settling deeper into his chair. "After all, there has never been an SSS Class Beast Master to ever reach True Beast Master level."
Reinhard's eyes widened as his mouth parted slightly. "Is that even possible? Wait, is the climb and trial that hard?"
Rosaria sighed. "It's the trial that's extremely difficult. So absurd that even those at S Class stop at First Class Beast Master and don't dare try their trials."
Reinhard blinked rapidly, processing this information. "Are you saying only A Class and below have become True Beast Masters?"
Klaus nodded, his arms crossing more firmly across his chest. "A lot of people think the stronger your Beast Spirit Class is, the better. But that's only true in the beginning." His voice took on an instructional tone. "It's actually better to have a Beast Spirit of A Class or lower because only those ones can really attain the strength of a True Beast Master."
Rosaria's hands returned to their clasped position in front of her. "In the last thousand years of Paradise's history, there have only been fifty True Beast Masters. Most were B and C Class Beast Spirit users." She paused. "Some were E and D Class, and a very small few were A Class."
Reinhard crossed his arms. "So there's never been an S Class Beast Spirit reach that level?"
Klaus tilted his head as he hummed. "There's a rumor that the Eternal King of Valhalla had an S Class Beast Spirit and reached that level…. But it's just rumors, the same way the ancient kingdom of Valhalla itself is believed to be rumors."
Silence came over the room, with the only sound being distant footsteps echoing outside through the corridors.
Reinhard's gaze fell to the empty tray on his lap, seeing it without really seeing it.
His mind churned through implications and the information, and he figured that rising the ranks was difficult.
But he didn't expect that no Beast Master with a Beast Spirit of S and higher had ever reached the True Beast Master.
And there was the fact that he had Odin, which was an SSS class. This means his own trials will be something he needs to be careful with and difficult to contend with.
Klaus and Rosaria watched as he processed this information. Neither spoke, allowing him time to think, to understand, to accept.
Reinhard then sighs as he says. "Then does that mean Odin's descent is the..."
"The first time an SSS Class Beast Spirit ever fully came into reality?" Rosaria's interjection with her crimson eyes held his gaze. "Yes. Which is why you'd best keep it a secret from now on. We've told the others, and that's because we don't want the Empire to know."
Reinhard's brows furrowed. "Will they kidnap me?"
A wry smile appeared on Klaus's face as he met Reinhard's eye. "No, they'll constantly try to recruit you. Offering extremely good benefits." He paused, letting that sink in. "Heck, they may even give you the Elixir of Life."
Reinhard's body trembled while an overwhelming amount of warmth rushed through his chest. He could feel the excitement rushing through his veins, his heart racing, and his breath quickening. The Elixir of Life, which he can use to cure Klein… Everything he'd been working toward was offered freely.
Then Reinhard suppressed the emotions as he narrowed his eyes. "But in exchange, I'll be their weapon. Am I right?"
Rosaria hummed. "You'll basically be their most special seed that will grow into a future Supreme Commander. Someone they'll never let go." Her fingers interlaced tightly. "Which means you won't get much freedom until you can achieve what you did in Phane City again and again."
Reinhard's body sagged backward into the pillows as his eyes stared at the ceiling. "But it would mean Klein wouldn't have to suffer anymore..."
Klaus nodded once, his expression softening. "That's true. They'd even help your siblings in every way possible and even take care of them extremely well. Whether it be sending them to a good school, housing them in a very good house, and providing security protection."
Reinhard's brows furrowed deeper. "Then maybe-"
"Don't be an idiot." Rosaria's voice rang out in a cold and angry tone.
Reinhard's head turned toward her with his eyes widening.
Rosaris glared at him. "If your siblings ever found out you sacrificed yourself for them, they would hate themselves." Her words came rapid-fire now, each one making him flinch.
"As the older brother, it's your job to take care of them. I agree with this. But it's also your job to take care of yourself, so they'll follow your example. Not destroy yourself so they'll be happier..." She leaned forward, her silvery-lavender hair sliding across her shoulders. "Because I can guarantee that when they find out, the guilt will hurt them far more than any curse or struggle would."
Reinhard trembled as his mind conjured Klein's smiling face before him, which turned into horror and self-loathing if he learned what Reinhard had given up.
Anna's crimson eyes filled with tears and rage while clutching his shirt.
Reinhard sighs as he nods slowly. "You're right. They would hate it..."
Klaus smiled softly. "It's fine. That's the thing… We want to do anything for the ones we care about." He closed his eyes as his smile grew. "But sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves, which is just as important. Because just like we care for them, they also care for us. It hurts them just as much to see us suffering as it hurts us to see them suffer."
Reinhard trembled again before a faint smile appeared on his face, and he nodded slowly.
Rosaria sighed. "And then. Did you and Fenrir fight in space?"
Reinhard shook his head. "We fought in a place called the Imaginary Sea. Mimir told me it's a place above our universe-"
Celestia raised her hand, the gesture cutting him off mid-sentence. "Why don't you just let Mimir explain that?"
Reinhard blinked before grinning as he called upon Mimir. Black feathers appeared with Mimir forming on his shoulder in a streak of darkness, and the crow's head tilted.
"Can you explain the Imaginary Sea?" Reinhard asked.
Mimir's head tilted the other direction. "You can think of the Imaginary Sea as a place that transcends the universe. Thereby transcending all the concepts and laws that make up this universe."
Rosaria's brows furrowed while her crimson eyes sharpened with interest. "Could it be like a border or entrance to the Throne of Myth?"
Mimir nodded once. "You can think of it like that. Fenrir needed to pass through it to reach down here."
Rosaria's eyes lit up, glowing slightly brighter with excitement, and she leaned forward. "So it's true? Beast Spirits do transcend space and time?"
"All Beast Spirits in the Throne of Myth transcend the concepts of space, time, dimension, and the universe," Mimir said.
