"T-This is a bit k-kinky, don't you think?" I muttered, trying to lighten the mood… but it only made it worse.

"Leave," She ordered and without even explaining anything to her, I left… after grabbing a towel to dry my shorts of course.

"Y-Yes Ma'am,"

Was the last thing I just about managed to squeeze out.

I immediately returned to the girls after taking a shower and changing my clothes and they immediately began to question me.

"What happened!? What took you so long to get back!?" They all shouted.

"Ethel is scary," I muttered and they all shut up, realizing what had just happened.

They should've been watching through the hivemind, but I guess only Lucy did it as she wasn't panicking much as always.

"Now, we have one last mission girls… Calm this heartbroken bitch down," Lucy announced and we all jumped up, bumping our fists together.

"Yeahhhh!"

"Sit there," She ordered but we were already sitting.

We couldn't win against her glare and were now on our knees, in a straight line, and we looked as if we were about to get scolded.

"Now, tell me, is my wife still alive?" Ethel asked.

I let out a snort but Ethel flicked me in the head and as she was probably just as strong as me, it really fucking hurt.

But…

"S-sorry," I muttered as I couldn't resist her glare.

Even Lucy who was stone cold most of the time was just looking down at the ground, not wanting to draw any attention.

"Answer!" She shouted, causing all of us to jump in fright.

"Y-Yes," Lucy managed to just squeeze out.

"Fooooo… I already expected that but some confirmation is nice to hear…" She muttered with a smile, clearly relieved that her… wife…? Was… still alive.

"Th-then, can we leave?" Lucy asked but she received a flick to her forehead that made her curl up into a ball for a few seconds.

"Mother fu-... Damn… Your fingers are strong as hell girl,"

"I'll take that as a compliment as they will be useful for my wife. Now, all of you will stay here, and once meet her, for the next few days, you will guard her as if your life depends on it," Ethel said in a calm tone… but her face made it an order.

"Y-Yes ma'am!" We all shouted.

"Good girls… Now, she will be arriving shortly. We were supposed to be going on a date in a few hours, but I just invited her over. I might've gone a few steps ahead, but she didn't reject it," Ethel muttered as if she was trying to convince herself she didn't go too far.

I also glanced over at Lucy and Nuala… and noticed both of them shivered from Ethel's compliment.

(Athena POV)

I've been dating this girl for only about a day now, but I feel like I've fallen deeper in love with her than before.

It's a strange feeling that I haven't felt in such a long time… maybe since the end of high school, when I fell in love with this boy and we dated for a while.

But, one day at a party, I caught him kissing another girl so I immediately ended it right there.

Though now that I think back on it, I wasn't really jealous of the girl who kissed him before I even got to kiss him, my boyfriend who was kissing that beautiful girl.

I couldn't take my eyes off her but just decided to brush it off as jealousy once more.

"Foooo… Okay, I'm a bit nervous but you can do this. Be confident. This girl is a bit fragile right now so also be a bit considerate," I muttered before knocking on the door.

I immediately heard somebody shuffle to the door and quickly unlock it.

As it slowly opened, I saw the beautiful girl with a bright red blush as she quickly gestured for me to enter.

I also saw a few other girls sitting on the couch, playing video games, but right now, I could only focus on Ethel who was dressed in a casual white sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

She suddenly noticed her sloppy clothing and couldn't help but look me up and down, before blushing deeply, clearly embarrassed.

"M-May I go change?" She asked and I chuckled a bit before replying.

"It's fine, I just got too excited,"

I then entered the dining room which was pretty nice and very expensive… but it didn't seem to be something obtainable within her paygrade.

When I arrived at the front of the apartment, I also noticed that it was one of the best and most luxurious apartments in LA.

"You have such a nice place," I muttered and Ethel blushed once again.

"I-I can make some food if you want. I'm a very good cook," Ethel suggested.

"That would be lovely. Also, may I watch you?" I asked politely and Ethel immediately nodded vigorously.

She was so cute that I just wanted to hug her for eternity, but I wanted to take this process slowly, so I calmed myself down and watched her cook an amazing chicken dinner.

But, I also got a bit curious about the girls who were sitting on the couch, trying to kill each other over the game, so I asked her what was up with that.

"They're my little and big sisters… Ummmm… To be honest, don't remember who's older than me, but a few of them are. Also, we're not really blood-related besides the ones with turquoise and light blue hair," She responded as she plated our lovely lunch.

"They're quite… feisty,"

"It's a bit embarrassing, but please ignore them. I'll introduce them to you later, so let's just go to the dining room and enjoy this meal,"

I helped bring one of the plates to a pretty large table and as we sat down, one of the girls brought me a glass of water.

"Is there anything you would like to drink besides water?" Ethel asked.

"No, I'm quite fine," I responded and our lovey-dovey lunch began and ended before I even realized it started.
