The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 183: Unexpected Guests

All the girls slowly perked up their ears and the room fell silent.

"Y-You're making me nervous," The woman slightly giggled before glancing up at Ethel.

"Well, I want to hear as well," She said with a smile.

"Wuuuuu… Fine," She muttered.

For about an hour, she shared so much information that I began to question if my assumption that she was a lackey, was correct.

She didn't have much information on the rulers, but everything around that was tons and tons of information.

But, we couldn't be so quick to think everything she shared was real, so we made sure to carefully select each piece of information to remember… as we still couldn't trust the monster right in front of us.

"Is that everything?" Ethel asks and the spider woman nods furiously with a pitiful and almost puppy dog expression as she stared into her eyes.

"You're so cute!" Ethel says, hugging the woman again as she turns into a tarantula and she pulls her close.

(Unknown POV)

"Yes, we've caught sight of them… Yes sir, I won't underestimate them," I replied before hanging up the phone and gesturing for the twelve lackeys to follow me.

As we traveled through the shadows, we noticed they had caught what seemed to be a monster and were keeping them as a pet of some sort.

But, the monster was extremely weak, probably about a B-rank dungeon runner level.

"Let's begin," I muttered just as we managed to get into position.

As we slowly approached them, I felt a slight weakening in my legs, but decided to brush it off as a once in a while dose of fear that I normally get when encountering strong opponents… but the opponents before me were just a few young girls.

I don't even think any of them have hit their twenties yet.

Tup Tup Tup Tup Tup Tup

My footsteps echoed through the air as we quickly approached them and so I readied my knives, but also made sure the teleporter was in my back pocket.

In case this mission went south, I would be able to activate this, giving us a clean and easy escape.

As soon as we reached their apartment, this groggy feeling in my legs was so strong that I couldn't help but look down… and what I saw caused my face to pale.

Groaossoaosoroasroaosororo

A grotesque creature was feasting on both of my knees, frightening me so bad that I fell onto my ass, on top of the building I was on.

I tried to contact the others, but there were only screams of terror as a response.

"What a stupid bunch," The voice of a woman suddenly appeared behind me and I snapped my head backward, discovering the face of one of my targets… but it was too late.

Before I could even reach into my back pocket, my arms and legs were cut off, but then instantly healed into small nubs, leaving me completely defenseless.

The monster which was gnawing at my knees seemingly disappeared into thin air and the groggy feeling had been wiped from my body.

"Fufufufu… You tried your best… But now, we're taking that,"

The woman with red hair's voice changed from a playful tone to a cold and icy tone as she finished the last part of her threatening sentence.

Goddammit! I can't let anybody have these teleporters!

As I tried to struggle away, a set of hands wrapped around my throat, and when I looked back, I saw a woman with green hair smile before squeezing her hands together.

I was being strangled but I couldn't do anything… but die.

(Mia POV)

"They underestimated us," I muttered as I glared down at the miniature teleporter in my hand.

It had a hexagonal shape and tons of small runes lining each side, corner, and slant.

"Yeah, they must've still thought we were those tiny little children who needed the protection of Auntie in order to survive… that makes my blood boil," Amanda muttered as she tossed the limp corpse away and I burned it instantly.

[You have deactivated Wide Spread Illuision]

All of a sudden, I ate my words as a powerful and slightly familiar presence appeared before us, and for some reason, we felt fear but also intense anger.

'Amanda, these are Lucy's emotions. This woman with red hair probably did something to her… but not now. We have to stall for a bit. I want to let Lucy get the revenge,' I whispered to Amanda through the hivemind so she activated her summon.

A massive yellow and orange drake appeared on the massive rooftop, but thanks to my illusion, nobody was able to see it.

"I can't believe Sol actually lost to such kids," The tall woman with red hair muttered.

"Hey, you kind of look like me," I said as I noticed her fiery red hair.

"Well, that sucks," She chuckled before swiping at the sun drake with a massive sword, but to her surprise, it did absolutely no damage.

This woman is weak… If this was before our third evolution, we all would've died. But now… the leap in power is too much.

Each of my stats is at least two hundred now and due to my nature as a succubus, my illusion proficiency is so high, that illusions wrapping around us, displaying our form when we were sheltered by Auntie, also displayed our power then.

TING TING TING TING TING

The woman was struggling at fighting off the sun drake as it savagely rushed towards her, opening its jaws and tearing one of her arms off.

Noticing that things were immediately going terribly wrong, she pulled out a hexagonal teleporter that I had already expected… and shattered it into a million pieces.

"I'll sell you mine for three billion dollars," I chuckled and give her a sly smile.

She erupted with flames, pushing the sun drake just a bit back… but that might've been the worst thing she could've done.

The sun drake absorbed the fire and was now ten times stronger than before.

"Ugh… I knew you would be here," A charming and beautiful voice suddenly came from behind me.
