The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 219: Tundra Snake Gladiator (12)

The announcer did his thing by announcing the both of us, and as the man took a deep stance, I watched his muscles shift from under his armor.

I can… see it? This is so much easier than Lucy's…

As soon as the round started, I knew he was going to blast toward me, so I ducked, placed my hands on the floor, and uppercut him with thousands of red spikes of ice.

"I can see it… All of it,"

As he was sent flying back, I didn't let up as I then raised my hands into the air, summoning a spiky collum of red ice spikes that then stabbed straight into the man's armor.

The man's armor had been shattered, but his skin untouched… and now that he was angry, I had to really pay attention.

"ARGHHHHH! YOU DARE!" He shouted before dashing towards me and then swinging his sword horizontally… but it was even more obvious than before.

His upper body was bare, allowing me to see each and every twitch of his muscle…

"Holy shit… This is… This is overpowered," I muttered with a large smile and then ducked out of the way, and I saw him adjust for a vertical swing, so I slid to the side and then created two daggers of ice that stabbed into his heels.

As he stumbled forward, he noticed his large boots had crumbled into icy dust, but the daggers still remained stabbed into his heels.

"Where did you get this kind of power!? TELL ME!" He shouted, but I just ignored him before squeezing my palm shut.

Krkkkkk

Ice began to travel up his leg, into his torso, and then to his head… inside of his body, causing him to die almost instantly as I had frozen over his brain.

"Your skin is tough, but your muscles are completely soft," I muttered with a smile and then exited the arena with as much drama I could muster up.

That was fun… and Lucy, you goddamn genius… I'm starting to think you might not be an idiot.

(Lucy POV)

"Oh man, he is strong but compared to me, he is nothing. I think about the top 5, but I've just been paired up against the worst people for me. I mean, how is it possible that one of my first opponents after entering the top 15 is somebody who counters both of my magic,"

Anyway, after complaining for a bit, I quickly got my armor ready as I had a match with some small fry today, but the reason I was so excited was that the empress had come back.

She came to watch the fight between Cora and that other dude who was crazy weak, but since she stayed a bit longer, I'm assuming she also wants to see me.

As soon as I entered the colosseum, the announcer did his thingy thing, and then I got ready before glancing at the empress.

She was standing tall and proud while also displaying her overwhelming arrogance as she sat on the throne like a queen.

Her fist supported her cheek as she leaned to one side while also crossing her legs… it was a clear display of power, and she kind of looked… hot.

"No, I must stay loyal. I must stay loyal," I muttered to myself before slapping the man away as he tried to cut me while I was distracted.

As soon as he got up, I disappeared and winded around him before kicking him in the back of his knees.

He fell forward like an idiot, and just like an idiot again, he tripped on his own feet as he stood up…

"Empress, if I win this, can I have a private chat with you?" I asked the woman sitting arrogantly on the throne, and as if everybody wanted to hear the rest of it, the entire arena went silent.

"If you want a private chat, you can have a private chat with the devil when I send you to hell," She replied, a vein practically bursting out of her forehead.

"That's too mean. I just wanted to discuss with you about something," I replied and then mouthed the word 'god.'

Her ears seemed to perk up upon seeing me mouth the word, and she sighed before snapping her fingers.

Suddenly, I appeared in her booth, and a curtain quickly covered the open area from where she looked down into the place.

"Oh, this place is nice. Lemme just take-off of this armor-"

"Wench! Kneel before the empress!" One of the loyal knights right beside her shouted while pointing his sword at me with killing intent.

I just moved the tip of the sword away before removing the rest of my armor, but he wasn't happy as he then swung down towards my neck.

Ting

I formed a thick layer of ice on the back of my neck, blocking the feeble sword and then glancing at the empress.

"You really gonna let him kill me like that? Just like that?" I asked, and she shrugged before gesturing for me to sit down on a sofa that appeared under me.

How is she doing this…? Does she have some sort of skill that lets her teleport things?

"All you guards are dismissed. If she attacks, I'll just take care of her," The empress said arrogantly, and the guards quickly followed her orders.

"Man, you're so arrogant that it makes me want to punch you in the face," I muttered with a large smile that held back waves of anger.

I really want to punch this woman in the face… but I won't since I'm such a nice person.

"Aren't you the arrogant one? Requesting a conversation with the empress… Nobody's ever done that before," She muttered and stood up as she walked around her throne.

"Anyway, I'm here to discuss the food that we are served as gladiators. That shit is vial, and we deserve some actual good food," I said.

The empress looked at me with surprise before furrowing her eyebrows.
