The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 300: School (Final)

"W-Why didn't you defend me? Y-You know it's partially their fault, right?"

"*sigh*... What were their last names?"

"W-What do you mean-"

All of a sudden, my mother's face warped into that of an angered expression- no, a disgusted expression.

She was not only disgusted at the "victims" but also at me… so I quickly told her the last names, and the rest of the walk back to my dorm was held in extreme silence.

"Greetings, Mistress," All three of my maids uttered as they bowed deeply before my mother, who swiftly entered the room and shut the door behind me.

She was really, really mad…

"Get me some tea," My mother muttered before sitting down on the couch, and just as I was about to head to my room in order to escape her tense and almost scary aura, her eyes pierced through the back of my head.

Without even saying a word, I knew I had to get back down there, and so I did… with the utmost speed.

"Sit," My mother muttered, lightly tapping the cushion next to her, and so I quickly sat down, stiffer than a wooden plank.

"I-I'm sorry," I quickly apologized.

As my mother took the cup of tea from the maid of death, she sat it down on the glass coffee table in front of her and then turned towards me.

Her eyes made me freeze up, and there was only one thing I could think of right now…

'She's strong… much stronger than when she was on that plane of ice. I wouldn't stand a chance against her if we fought back on our old plane,'

"Ada… I didn't send you to school so you could play the edgy underdog who eventually beats up the bullies. Now, everybody will be paying attention to you, and it's only a matter of time before they figure out your real identity,"

"I-I'm sorry… I-I just didn't want to hurt them,"

"Do you think you're trying to repent by being a pacifist in this life? You're my daughter, and that should say more than enough that such a path is completely blocked out from you,"

"I-I know, but… I just…"

"Mistress, it is our fault to blame," My maids all suddenly spoke up, with the maid of death beginning to elaborate.

"We never pushed her to be better and thought that having her take the path in life that she wanted was the best for her… It is completely our fault,"

"All three of you, leave. Don't try and save her,"

The maids all flinched slightly before quickly bowing and entering their shared room upstairs, most likely just sitting in silence and reflecting upon their actions.

"Don't drag the maids into this. It was completely my fault… I-I'll be sure to study harder than ever. I-I'm almost top of my class in all academic subjects… the only thing that I'm not at the top of my class is the power stone training class… thing… sorry,"

My mother silently sipped on her tea, supposedly thinking to herself as to what to say next.

"You have one more chance. Repenting for your past life can be done in various ways, and first of all, how about being kinder to people? Beating them up to the point that they can barely even open their jaw is not one,"

"Y-Yes… I've reflected on my mistakes…."

"But that doesn't mean you'll go unpunished. You may not have been put on suspension, but I will do it myself. You are to follow my schedule for the next two months. All of your assignments are online, so you can complete them then. But during that time, you'll be undergoing some harsh training… if you object, speak your mind now,"

"I-I can object?"

Her cold eyes grazed my face, and I knew that question was stupid, so I swiftly bowed my head and apologized once more.

"O-Of course… a-and I'm sorry… a-again,"

My mother's arms wrapped around me, and all of the worry, sorrow, and disappointment that I held within myself quickly swept out of my body, and I was left there, limp in her grasp.

"Huh?!" I exclaimed as my mother told me the news of what I was going to be doing for the next two months. "You have to be kidding me!"

"Do you object?" My mother asked in the usual cold tone, and after clicking my tongue once, I shook my head from side to side.

For the next two months, I was to travel across the world and meet all of the other old hags that ran this fucking criminal organization and train under them.

On top of that, I was supposed to be completing all of my work… I mean, at least I got a first-class teleportation trip to each place, so I had time to do work, but training under all of those old women?! THOSE OLD HAGS?!

Besides both my mothers, there was the only time I met the leading rulers of each country branch of Tolf… and they were all super crazy with bouncing personalities.

Some were all gloomy and exhausted while some looked like they had energy for days.

"Okay, then, who am I vising first? Mama?"

"Mhm… Now, remember, you must not tell anybody else that you are reincarnated. If they find out, I'll have to deal with tons of shit later on,"

"Like… what?"

"They'll be bugging me for years on end, so don't give me more pressure! Got it?!"

"Yes!" I cried out, and as three maids walked up beside me, my eyes grew bright.

"Th-They're coming with me?" I asked, unable to suppress the excited smile that continued to streak across my face.

With them here, I wouldn't mind visiting those old hags.

"Indeed…" My mother muttered before getting up from her desk and taking off the augmented reality glasses that let her down her work from anywhere and anytime.

She walked straight up to me and wrapped those warm arms around me, filling me with a sense of sorrow since I wouldn't be able to feel this kind of warmth for another two months.

"Hey, you still got Mia," My mother smirked and after she kissed me on the forehead a couple of times, we waved each other goodbye and a single butler gestured for me to follow him.
