The Rise of Quetzalcoatl

Chapter 325: Tolf Leader: Ethel (Final)

I swiftly nodded my head with a toothy smile, and all of a sudden, she tilted my head downwards and kissed me on the crown of my head.

[You have obtained the blessing of the Mermaid Empress: Ruler of the Deep Ocean]

[You have acquired new skills]

"Tell your mother when you see her again that she needs to give you more time to have fun instead of constantly forcing you to work and work and train and train… trust me, I know what it's like to get burned out. Just have some fun every now and a while… and if you have nobody to come back to, you can always visit me,"

I lightly smiled with closed eyes, laying my head on her chest and hugging her ever so tightly.

When I arrived back on hard and solid land, I discovered I wasn't wet in the slightest, and I even felt a bit lighter for some strange reason.

But, upon opening my status, I soon realized as to what had really happened, and the warm fuzz disappeared, revealing the memories I had just made.

"Th-Thank you," I stuttered, bowing my head to the woman who soon popped through the bubble and landed on dry land with me.

On the other hand, my maids came back from the bubble completely soaked and exhausted, but my aunt ignored them as she immediately walked up to me with the small grumbles of my maids permeating through the air.

"Do I think you are worthy of inheriting my crown…? No, not really," She lightly chuckled with me before placing her hand on my shoulder. "But your potential is great, and I expect amazing things from you. So, even if Tolf all passes away, I'm sure you can get revenge for us… or not. It's up to you," Auntie Ethel chuckled before hugging me once more and sending me off to my angry maids.

They attempted to suppress their emotions from slipping out, but it seems that just wasn't possible with Auntie Ethel.

And as we walked away, my aunt gave them the middle finger, forcing my other two maids and me to hold back my maid of death, who nearly gave into her taunt.

"Let's just get going. We're out of time already," My maid of death quickly took my hand, and we ran all the way back to the palace.

I don't know why she tried to take me away from Auntie Ethel since we were destined to meet up once again in the teleportation room.

"Nice to see you again," my aunt smiled, and as my maid clicked her tongue, everybody around us lightly chuckled.

She input some new coordinates, presumably for my next destination, but saying goodbye seemed a bit hard as of now since I had never been so close to somebody ever since I left my parents.

"What's wrong?" Auntie Ethel bent down to my level as I hung my head, and upon glazing upwards, I began to leak tears.

"Thank you so much for everything… I-I'll be sure to use [Scalding Water Pillar] to its best advantage," I sniffled as tears began to flow harder and harder.

Everybody in the room burst out with laughter as I attempted to suppress my tears, but the harder I tried, the harder the tears just came out, causing Auntie Ethel to let out a small chuckle before bringing me in for another hug.

"Don't worry; we'll see each other again. I'll tell you all about the stories that I had with your mother since there were some that I left out for the sake of time…."

As we split apart, I wiped the tears from my face and turned to Athena, who bent down to my level as well.

"You're so cute," She lightly chuckled before kissing my forehead and sending me off with my maids, who had been waiting this entire time.

My maid of death placed her right hand across my back while the left carried my luggage.

"Come on… let's get going."

I nodded ever so slightly before waving goodbye to the two women and their guards in front of me and then tripping up a bit as my vision swayed.

My body turned numb, and then I reached out for a light, forcing me to appear in a new unknown place that looked like a normal metropolis with towering buildings and bustling streets.

There was a heavy scent of smoke wafting through the air, and before I knew it, a woman with green hair greeted me, her sister with dark blue hair standing right beside her.

The green-haired one looked to be about six feet, while the dark blue hair one was just a bit under six feet, yet she was the oldest.

"H-Hello," I stuttered, intimated by the onlookers from behind the two women.

"Welcome to New York City!" The woman let out a big toothy smile. "And welcome to your new home for the rest of the week... well, hopefully."
