SSS Ranked Awakening: Starting With My Limitless Cosmic Shadow System

Chapter 110: Draconic Rage!

"The Class Potion is a unique concoction that, once taken, could shift one's class entirely into something random. Of course, taking a higher grade Class Potion could reduce the odds of being pushed into some weak and miserable class for the duration the class remained active."

The instructor paused, letting his words settle into the mind of the ignorant bald kid staring up at him. He took a few slow paces, boots echoing lightly on the floor, each step deliberate as if he wanted the tension to linger.

"The class potion lasts for a limited amount of time, so don't get any hopes of permanently transitioning your class to something… better." Sloven gave Arthur a deep, almost pitying look as he dragged out the last word.

It was obvious he was talking to Arthur either directly or indirectly. Honestly, the man wasn't subtle at all.

Arthur clicked his tongue in annoyance, but he couldn't help the faint spark of amazement stirring in him. The rewards here were unique. Strange. Valuable.

'Perhaps the reward the System mentioned yesterday is something that can only be obtained at Hell and Abyss level. Since I haven't encountered either yet, then it makes sense why.'

Feeling his guess settle perfectly into place, Arthur dragged his focus back to the instructor who had begun describing the kings of creatures lurking inside the dungeon.

As the class neared its end, the air beside Arthur rippled. A soft distortion shimmered for a moment, then the little fox appeared right in his arms.

Her eyes were teary and wide, shimmering like a pair of puppy eyes dipped in sorrow, her mouth forming a tiny pout that made her look even more pitiful.

Arthur didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He had been so busy that he had forgotten to feed her for more than a day.

He gently rubbed her snow white fur, running his fingers through the soft strands while whispering quiet words of comfort. He told the little creature that he would be done soon and that they would head to the cafeteria together.

Feeling the weight of stares settling on him, Arthur turned. Almost all the female students were watching him intently. Or rather, they were watching the fox in his hands. Their flushed faces said everything. They looked like they were seconds away from lunging at him to grab the adorable creature.

Perhaps letting Arthur stay in the class wasn't quite as impossible as they had first thought.

Arthur rolled his eyes, exhausted by the attention, then let out a frustrated sigh.

Thankfully, class came to an end.

The moment the instructor turned to leave, Arthur used the opportunity. He called out quickly, using the man as a shielding barrier to escape the approaching wave of female students.

"Instructor!"

Sloven paused at the door and looked back, waiting for Arthur to reach him.

"I… want to ask if I could have the Principal's number."

Sloven stared at him, speechless. Then he glared, snorted loudly, and walked away with the book tucked under his arm.

'What did I do wrong?' Arthur rubbed his bald head, baffled and disappointed.

Still, aside from trying his luck at getting Gabriella's number, he had also escaped the danger of being surrounded by a swarm of desperate female students.

'In some other situation, being in the midst of ladies won't be so bad…' Arthur mused, a certain scene playing across his mind like a forbidden fantasy.

His shadow twisted at his feet. Darkness warped, rippled, then rose and solidified into the familiar form of Nephis.

Her expression was ice cold as she glared into the classroom before turning her eyes to him.

"Master, you have disrespectful peers."

A chill crawled down Arthur's spine at her words.

He had not forgotten what he read in the System. That unsettling detail about her slaughtering every genius of her generation.

"Don't try anything funny. Let's just head to the cafeteria and eat."

Arthur dismissed the topic casually, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he walked away.

Unknown to him, the school had already been thrown into a quiet uproar…

A few minutes passed under the tear filled gaze of the little fox before Arthur finally arrived at the cafeteria, chatting idly with Nephis by his side.

He had to admit, she was interesting company.

Although she could speak, it seemed that all of his summoned calamities had their previous lives wiped clean. All the unspeakable horrors they once achieved were dust now.

Honestly, it made conversations easier.

Arthur shifted his eyes to the cafeteria.

The place rose slightly like a massive dome.

Surprisingly, he couldn't hear a single sound from inside despite seeing students talking through the transparent door. Their lips moved, but silence pressed against the glass.

Some sort of sound proof mechanism was at work.

Arthur glanced at them briefly before pushing the door open.

Instantly, a barrage of smells rushed into his nose. Warm scents. Rich spices. Sweet aromas. A blend of everything good and edible.

The little fox perked up her ears, moving excitedly as she sniffed the intoxicating mixture.

Arthur rubbed her head gently to calm her, then approached the counter.

The moment he stepped fully inside, murmurs around the cafeteria died down. He noticed a few students pointing at him, but he didn't care enough to investigate.

He reached the counter and took in the display of snacks. Rows of pastries, bowls of steaming dishes, and piles of treats.

A professional lady in a suit stood behind the counter, offering a polite and perfectly practiced smile as she handed him a menu.

"Welcome to the cafeteria. Please select what meals you would like prepared."

Arthur accepted the menu and scanned through it. Pork, rice, beef, pizza, and so much more.

He was just about to pick a few options at random when a message from the System froze every muscle in his face.

[Obtained Buns X3]

[Obtained Pizza slice X2]

Arthur forced a smile that looked painfully close to crying and reached down to gently pinch the little fox as a warning.

What the hell. Was the little fox trying to get him killed?

Thankfully, no one looked suspicious yet, and the fox immediately realized her mistake when he pinched her. Her posture straightened like a soldier caught misbehaving.

"I'll be taking a few plates of rice with some snacks and pork with beef ribs."

The lady wrote down the order with another polished smile, then gestured toward one of the empty seats nearby.

"Please wait a moment sir. We'll bring your order to you shortly."

"Okay." Arthur replied quietly and walked to an empty seat.

The cafeteria tables were arranged neatly. Each one was built to accommodate four people, two on each side, with a wide table large enough to hold an entire feast if needed.

"Hi." Arthur waved at the girl sitting in his chosen seat.

She wore purple clothes, and Arthur could tell she was in her first year like him, but not in the SSS rank class.

'The SS perhaps?' Arthur guessed.

She had fine red hair, and her uniform fit perfectly, highlighting her firm bosom.

She wasn't extremely beautiful, but she was definitely 'okay' by Arthur's standards.

When he spoke, she looked around as if checking whether he was actually talking to her.

Her eyes flicked toward Nephis, who stood behind him dressed in tight fitting black training gear with a veil across her face.

The girl noticed the cold annoyance and killing intent in Nephis eyes. She bit her lip on instinct, then stood up quickly and moved to another seat.

"Well, that went well…" Arthur muttered, leaning back in the seat.

"Nephis, come sit beside me."

He patted the space next to him.

Nephis face flushed faintly, but she obeyed without hesitation.

As she sat down, she spoke in a low voice.

"Master, almost everyone seems to be talking about some sort of video, and it looks like it concerns you."

"Video?" Arthur frowned, puzzled.

He chuckled darkly and rubbed the little fox, then pointed toward a youth wearing purple clothes.

"Little girl, it is time to show your usefulness. Snatch that phone for me…"

The little fox's eyes lit up with excitement, eager to please her Master.

Without a second of hesitation, her gaze darted through the crowd, locking instantly onto the youth Arthur had pointed at.

[Obtained Phone X1]

Arthur retrieved it from his System space immediately and praised the little fox.

"Good girl." Her nine tails wriggled happily.

Then the video on the stolen phone began to play.

Nephis leaned closer, unable to stop herself from peering at the screen.

To be continued.
