Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 142: The Truth Morgan's Conspiracy!

Hearing Logan's words, Natalia frowned. "What's down there?"

Logan smiled. "A long-lived old man who's been around longer than the Federation itself."

Logan's words were like a thunderclap, echoing in the ears of every familiar tamer in the Morgan castle square.

Alex and Adam turned pale, filled with fear and panic.

"Logan! How did you find out!" Alex looked confused and angry.

"Damn it! We can't let him go down there!" Adam's body was already turning into plants. His face showed rare fear.

Without hesitation, the father and son ordered their familiars and guards to attack Logan and his group, no matter the cost.

In an instant, the castle square became a terrible battle scene.

Soldiers, familiars, council members, and familiar tamers all went wild with bloodlust.

The whole square turned into a meat grinder, killing lives quickly.

Even Sophia, Lucia, and Holt, who were strong Legend-level warriors, were slowed down by the chaos. They could only barely protect themselves and those around them.

Alex and Adam used this chance to rush to the top of the inner city and activate the mechanism.

A loud grinding sound filled the air, and the inner gate fell down, cutting off Logan and his group from the outside.

Then, many Morgan family members who looked exactly like Alex came out from the inner city.

As soon as they saw Logan, their bodies began to stretch and turned into long blood vines, shooting toward Logan's group.

Now, Logan and his team were trapped between the inner city and the square, with no place to run. They had to fight back.

Natalia saw this and quickly summoned the Abyss Weaver, creating a shield of energy in front of them to block the attack from the blood vines.

Right after that, Logan raised his hand and, in front of everyone, opened the "Guardian of the Blood Cultivation Realm" to block the main body of the blood vines.

As more and more Morgan family members turned into blood vine monsters, Yelena, Sawako, and others turned pale.

Even Evelynna looked shocked.

Old Tattalia stared at the faces before him, shocked and speechless.

Suddenly, he looked up at Adam and Alex on the high ground and shouted, "You monsters! All of you Morgan family members are monsters! Using your own blood relatives for experiments—what kind of people are you?"

Hearing Tattalia's words, Logan and his group finally realized: the Morgan family members who had attacked them were not all adults. Some were young, some were old.

Looking at their realistic faces and their strong resemblance to Adam and Alex, Logan's group quickly understood—they were all blood relatives of the Morgan family.

Adam stood on the high ground, watching Tattalia's wild anger. He laughed coldly. "That's just natural selection. Only those who perfectly merge with the blood tree can inherit the name of the Morgan family."

Logan looked at Adam and then at Alex. He said coldly, "So, for hundreds of years, only the three of you have perfectly merged with the blood tree?"

Hearing Logan say "three," Alex pulled his lips back slightly. "Logan, what exactly have you discovered?"

Logan saw Alex trying to hide the truth and said directly: "Do you really need me to find it out? You kept Dale Morgan hidden in the castle basement, and you've been feeding him with living people for hundreds of years. Isn't that what you did?"

Everyone around them gasped in shock.

Natalia, hearing the name "Dale Morgan," widened her eyes in disbelief. "Dale Morgan? The second-generation leader of the Morgan family? That's impossible! He's still alive?!"

Old Tattalia was even more shocked. He opened his mouth in disbelief. "That's it! If this old monster was behind everything, then your family's weird and abnormal behavior finally makes sense."

At that moment, even the neutral Temple Knight commander, Eugenia, stepped forward.

She slowly pulled out her sword and pointed it at Adam and Alex. Her voice was cold. "You two, you forced Dale Morgan to live for hundreds of years by using people as food. This is a sacred crime. You must pay the price for it!"

As she finished speaking, the Temple knights behind Eugenia opened their familiar spaces and released Light Side familiars.

Over a thousand Light Side familiars appeared at once outside the inner city walls, instantly lighting up the night sky and turning darkness into day.

The blood vines that had been attacking the [Guardian of the Blood Cultivation Realm] lost their power in the bright light. They became stiff and dry.

Seeing this, Adam spoke coldly. "Temple wants to declare war on the Morgan family?"

Eugenia sneered and said firmly. "The Morgan family is guilty. They must pay the price."

Hearing Temple's unfair judgment, Adam's mouth twitched.

He was about to say something when Alex reminded him, "Father, go meet the ancestor. Staying here is useless."

Adam grunted and started walking down into the ground.

Without their leadership, the battle in the outer square ended quickly.

When Holt, Sophia, and Lucia arrived at the inner city and joined Logan's group, they were all shocked by the gate.

"Damn it, what kind of material is this gate made of? It hasn't broken after so long!" Macon and his agents kept hitting the gate, but nothing happened.

"Move! Let me try!" Holt shouted and swung his axe at the gate. Not a single scratch appeared.

"This... this is impossible!" Holt had used his strongest attack, [familiar possession]. It should have done something.

As the others stood helplessly, Logan walked slowly to the iron gate. He placed his hand on the bars and in a flash, the five-story-high gate disappeared into his familiar space.

Everyone around him was speechless.

"This... this 20-meter-tall gate just disappeared?"

"How big is Logan's familiar space? Won't it explode from holding something that big?"

"Did you notice? Logan didn't open a portal to swallow the gate. He controlled the space fluctuations of his familiar space and directly moved the objects he touched."

"Whoa... I've never heard of that kind of control before."

"I have. I've heard that only the top Arcane Wardens can do that. It's said their magic arrays can even stop a beast tide."

Logan didn't pay attention to the comments around him.

He led everyone down the hallway and quickly found the entrance to the underground space.

He opened the familiar door and walked into the huge underground area of the Morgan castle once again.

At that moment, Dale Morgan's blood tree body still supported the whole castle. Alex and Adam were kneeling in front of him, like children who had done something wrong, bowing their heads in shame.

"I'm sorry! Ancestor, it was our mistake," Adam said, feeling ashamed.

"Ancestor, our plan might have been discovered," Alex whispered.

Dale Morgan listened to their explanation and closed his eyes, thinking. His face showed no expression.

It wasn't until Logan and his group arrived that he finally opened his eyes slowly, looking at the sudden humans before him. He sighed, "You two really are useless. You let the pets of the system push you this far."

Then, Dale Morgan smiled at Logan. "We meet again, little one."

Hearing the word "again," Logan frowned. "You've seen me before?"

Dale Morgan grinned. "Stop pretending. You came three days ago. I can smell your scent. But I was eating then, or you would have already been my meal."

Looking at this monster who ate people, Logan asked, "You turned yourself into something half-human, half-creature, and hid underground for 300 years. Don't you feel pain?"

Hearing Logan's question, Dale Morgan looked sad for a moment, then his expression turned fierce. "Pain? My pain was given to me by the Federation!"

With that, Dale Morgan pulled up his clothes, revealing his empty chest.

At that moment, a blue flame flickered inside his chest, sending out terrifying energy.

Seeing this, Natalia's eyes widened, and she gasped, "This... this is the 'Fire Seed'! How is it on you?"

"On me?" Dale Morgan laughed as if he had just heard a joke. "It's been on me for hundreds of years!"

"That's impossible! The [Fire Seed] has always been kept in the Federation's Temple. How could it be on you, a monster?" Eugenia immediately drew her sword and pointed it at Dale Morgan.

Being called a monster, Dale Morgan sneered. "I'm a monster? You fools don't understand anything! What you call the 'Fire Seed' is just a piece of flame taken from me!"

Hearing this, Old Tattalia trembled and said, "So the Federation hasn't been using human beliefs for years because of you?"

Dale Morgan smiled. "I've been growing and keeping the [Fire Seed] for hundreds of years. But humans only gave my family a noble title. That's too easy on you. So I wanted a Morgan to become the chairman. But you always fought me. For the last hundred years, the chairman position never went to us. So I decided to put my own child on the throne."

He looked at Logan and growled, "But you, little guy, ruined everything. So what should I do to you?"
