Angle's Arrogance? My Pact with the Succubus Queen!

Chapter 181: Hiding Under a Woman's Skirt?

When Vincent saw this, he let out a bitter laugh: "Why didn't you say that earlier!"

Logan shot Vincent a quick look and cut in: "Because he also has ambitions!"

At this, Logan turned to look at Pope David and said coldly: "The chairman of the Human Federation, the high priest of the Temple, and also strong warriors at the Saint stage. The other three who fought back then were great human leaders far beyond the Legend stage familiar tamers."

"That monster could still hold its ground against such a powerful group, which shows how strong it is. Whoever controls it will become the ruler of all humankind, leading all human forces. Such an offer is hard to resist, isn't it, Your Holiness?"

Pope David was caught by Logan's words and started coughing violently.

He didn't feel ashamed at all, but instead showed a face full of desire. "You're right! Even if there's only a 1% chance, I'll take the risk! My body is old like this because The Black Church owes me. I should achieve something bigger to make up for my losses!"

Vincent shook his head in disappointment. "David, you're not fit to be the Pope."

Pope David sneered and pointed at the ground. "People who aren't fit to be the Pope, right now, are holding that monster back. If you think I'm not fit, then you come and hold it back yourself. Are you brave enough?"

Vincent was pushed back by David's words, his chest rising and falling as he sneered: "You brought that thing back. This is your punishment."

Pope David spat out some blood and smiled widely, showing his white teeth. "Haha, even if it's my punishment, I'll take the whole Black Church down with me. I won't lose!"

Hearing this, Vincent roared: "You're crazy!"

Pope David gave Vincent a cold look and pointed to the back of Vincent's head: "Now, only Fischl breaking through the Saint stage can help me, and she needs to offer herself as a sacrifice. I said it clearly, you have 24 hours left."

"Don't even think about finding another way to control it. The past popes spent their whole lives trying to deal with this thing, and you won't be able to either. Just go ahead and wake up Fischl. Let her complete the final challenge!"

With that, Pope David opened his familiar space and pulled out a monster, tightly bound by countless chains.

He looked at the monster struggling in pain, his eyes wild with excitement. "Good thing I had a backup plan. This monster was just picked up on the way. If Fischl wakes up and kills it at the end of the Blood Cultivation Realm, and then absorbs the space crystals from the Land of Sins, her challenge will be a success."

As he said that, Pope David took out the Sacred Fire that Logan had given him and hung it above his head.

The power of the Sacred Fire spread out, making him feel much lighter. Even the Hexagram Array beneath his feet started to fade.

Pope David looked satisfied at the Sacred Fire, then turned to Logan. "You have 24 hours. I'll wait for you exactly 24 hours. If you don't let Fischl complete the challenge and make the sacrifice within that time, I'll combine with the monster and the Sacred Fire. I can't even imagine how powerful it will become after that."

Faced with the threat, Logan and Vincent exchanged a look, then both used their long-distance teleportation abilities and vanished from the space.

They landed at the entrance of the Blood Cultivation Realm. At that moment, Maya Archbishop and Milo were being held down by the Dragon Emperor and Dragon Commander, yelling and cursing nonstop.

Maya: "Damn you, Logan! You're trying to kill me now? I won't let you off!"

Milo: "Maya, don't curse yet. Just tell me what's going on between you two. Did he mess with you?"

Maya: "I'll mess with your ass! Don't think I can't handle you just because your lich body isn't here. Your soul box is right…!"

Milo realized Maya was about to expose her secret, and quickly begged for mercy.

Logan arrived with Vincent, and ordered the Dragon Emperor and Dragon Commander to release them.

Seeing both Maya and Milo glaring at him, Logan shrugged. "Alright, I made you leave earlier because there were some things I couldn't say in front of you. Now, we have to work together."

After saying that, Logan told the two of them about the coming awakening of the symbiotic being. Of course, he left out Pope David's plan and the threat he had made toward Fischl.

Maya listened to the whole story and knew the situation was serious. She frowned at Logan and asked, "What do you want to do?"

Logan smiled at Milo and said, "You two must have set up a lot of people outside the Blood Cultivation Realm, right? You planned to kill Pope David today and then leave with your group. But now, the plan has changed. I need you to get all the people and valuable things out of The First Holy City."

When Milo heard that Logan wanted him to help move the Black Church, he felt a bit strange. He turned to look at Maya Archbishop. After getting her nod, he finally said, "Okay, but 24 hours is a bit tight for us, unless you allow us to use force on the people."

Logan nodded immediately. "No problem. What you take, you can keep. I just want one thing—after 24 hours, there can't be any living being left in The First Holy City, including you. Otherwise, I'll kill you right away."

Logan's voice was full of coldness. Even Milo felt a chill. He nodded at Logan and then turned to leave.

Maya Archbishop watched Logan with a suspicious look. "You sent Milo away. What do you want to do to me?"

Logan signaled Vincent to bring out the unconscious Fischl. Then he ordered Maya Archbishop, "Heal her. Fix the problem with the incomplete [Summon Spirit] Battle Style. Then wake her up."

Maya looked at Logan and frowned. "That's impossible. I'm just a familiar tamer, not a potion expert. I can only remove the danger from the [Summon Spirit] Battle Style. Waking her up is the job of a potion master."

Logan heard that and let out a cold snort, then snapped his fingers.

A space crack opened, and a huge vine crawled out of it. Klein followed closely, walking up to Logan. "You finally decided to let me out."

Logan smiled and patted Klein on the shoulder. "You two were just too slow. How's it going? Did you find anything?"

Klein handed Logan the blood tree armor and explained, "This armor is missing a soul to drive it. You need to find some strong spiritual bodies to become its spirit vessels. The more spirit vessels, the stronger the armor. Me and my teacher have already worked out how to merge them."

Logan took the blood tree armor and nodded in satisfaction. "Thanks. But there's one more thing I need your help with."

Klein pushed up his glasses and said, "Sure, think of it as rent. What do you need me to do?"

Logan turned to look at Fischl and told Klein about her symptoms and the current situation.

Klein looked at Maya Archbishop and then at Logan, and smiled. "A mix of alchemy and rune studies? That's interesting! Give me four hours, and I'll wake her up."

With that, Klein took out a bunch of tools and materials from his space ring and started preparing a potion for Fischl.

His hands were very skilled. He mixed the ingredients carefully, drew runes, and set up the magical environment needed for the potion. The whole process was very complicated.

Maya Archbishop watched Klein work and looked deep in thought. She asked, "Wow, an A-level alchemist? When did the Human Federation get someone so young with that level? Even the Alchemist Guild can't find ten A-level alchemists."

Logan smiled. "Don't be surprised. Just work with Klein. Four hours from now, I want to see a healthy and normal Fischl."

Seeing the cold look in Logan's eyes, Maya shivered a bit and nodded quickly.

She definitely believed that even if Logan had kissed and hugged her before, he wouldn't hesitate to kill her if he had to.

"Relax, I'm still Fischl's teacher," she said. Then she sat down next to Fischl, placed her head on her lap, and used her mental power to gently heal Fischl's soul sea.

Logan watched for a moment, then called out Heserion and told him to help Maya Archbishop. After that, he turned to Vincent and said, "You're the fastest here. I have something I need to ask you to do."

Vincent watched Logan arrange everything, and a vague idea started forming in his mind.

He took a deep puff from his cigarette, then threw it on the ground and crushed it with his foot. He smiled and said, "Vincent will follow your orders, Lord Logan."

Logan wasn't used to such a formal reply, but he soon smiled. "Well, I won't be polite then. The two closest Holy Cities to The First Holy City—Second and Third—are also at risk. I need you to make them evacuate."

Vincent's eyes flickered when he heard that, then he said excitedly, "You really are going to take the hard way?"

Logan saw his expression and smiled. "What else? Should I hide behind Fischl's skirt and watch her sacrifice herself so I can keep living?"

Vincent shivered as he heard that. He grabbed Logan's shoulders with both hands. "You're a real man! Twenty-four hours, right? I'll finish the mission and come back on time! Wait for me—I'll fight by your side!"

With that, Vincent jumped and disappeared into the [Land of Sins] Blood Cultivation Realm.
