System S.E.X. (Seduction, Expansion, eXecution)

Chapter 207: The Morning After and the Arrest

Ethan awoke slowly, his mind foggy with whisky and exhaustion. He was lying on something soft—not the director's stiff desk, but an actual mattress. Lena, Cassandra, and Hayes were all asleep beside him, covered discreetly by heavy federal-issue blankets.

Officer Jones, a stocky man with a permanently weary expression, entered the office carrying more linen. He looked up, spotted Ethan's eyes open, and gave a respectful nod.

"Good morning, sir," Jones said quietly. "I apologize if I saw anything inappropriate. I arrived for my shift and found all four of you asleep, draped over the desk, so I took the liberty of bringing in a bed from the infirmary so you could rest comfortably."

Jones was the other guard Hayes had been involved with, and they shared a quiet, professional complicity. He knew his place perfectly well; he was not stupid enough to cross Ethan, especially since he knew Hayes herself feared the prisoner.

"Thank you, Jones," Ethan said, stretching carefully. "How much time has passed?"

"I honestly don't know, sir," Jones replied. "It's daylight, but the clock on the wall stopped hours ago. We came looking because Director Hayes missed the night briefing. That's when we found you."

"I see. So it's morning," Ethan said. "You may go now."

Jones nodded and quietly retreated.

Ethan gently nudged Hayes, Cassandra, and Lena awake. "Time to rise and shine, ladies," Ethan said softly. "It's daylight. We need to leave before the official gossip becomes too widespread."

Lena and Cassandra groaned but immediately snapped into professional alertness. Lena grabbed her phone. "Falcon 2," Lena said when the line connected. "I need a pick-up at the main administrative exit, now."

"Ma'am, I never left," Falcon 2's voice responded instantly. "I've been in the parking lot since you arrived. My deepest apologies. I'll be around momentarily."

Hayes pointed toward a discreet door. "There's a private shower back there in the en-suite. Use it."

"No time," Cassandra said, already pulling on her high-end dress. "We're leaving directly. We'll clean up at the safe house." They quickly tidied their hair and ensured their clothes covered any noticeable marks before gathering their purses.

Hayes watched Ethan pulling on his orange jumpsuit, still looking impossibly energized. "You still look very energetic," Hayes observed.

"That's because I wasn't like you ladies," Ethan teased, buttoning the collar. "You all fell asleep, leaving me alone after the first orgasm."

Hayes smiled, leaning in to apologize. "I'm sorry, darling. If you want, we can continue—"

The sharp ring of Hayes' private line cut her off. She answered immediately. "Hello?"

The voice on the other side was Director Brown, rushed and strained. "Hayes, you need to prepare. There is a grave situation."

"What has happened?" she asked, her voice dropping to a low, cold register.

"It seems Vance doesn't want to fall without a fight," Brown's frantic voice confirmed. "I've just been formally stripped of my directorship and I'm under internal investigation. I received the notice minutes ago, and I'm looking out the window now—there are two army trucks, several police cruisers, even the FBI. I'm not sure what will happen, but you should prepare everything. They are likely coming for you at any moment."

"I understand," Hayes said, her expression hardening. "Stick to the plan, and everything will go perfectly."

"I know. I've prepared," Brown replied just as a booming, muffled shout came through the phone. "Police! Open the door immediately or we will break it down! Do not attempt to escape; you are surrounded!"

"Don't worry," Hayes told Brown quickly. "I'll notify the others to come for you." She hung up.

Ethan, having just finished zipping his prisoner suit, looked at her, his composure unwavering. "What has happened?"

Hayes placed the phone down, her eyes full of concern. "It seems Vance has one last plan up his sleeve. They have just arrested Director Brown. It is highly likely they are coming for me next. If I am deposed, you will be entirely alone. Neither Jason nor the gang members will be here to protect you, so you must take great care of yourself."

"I am quite tough, you know," Ethan said easily.

"Yes, I know," Hayes retorted. "I already took care of your dead body from yesterday, but I am still worried about you."

"I will leave immediately. Prepare what you need to prepare," Ethan instructed. "I promise to stay in my cell obediently."

Hayes shook her head, a hint of affection in her eyes. "The last thing you are is obedient."

Ethan laughed heartily, reached out, and gave her a long, wet tongue kiss. He then turned and walked out of the office and down the corridor toward his cell block.

Ethan walked calmly down the corridor. The guards who saw him simply stepped aside, some with bowed heads, others with expressions of fearful respect. No one dared to escort him. Upon reaching his cell, it was completely empty and clean, a luxury only he enjoyed. He sat down on the cot, staring at the ceiling.

"System," Ethan said, with the casual tone of someone speaking to a personal assistant. "Shouldn't you be giving me my rewards now that the action is over?"

The mechanical voice of the system responded immediately in his mind:

[Calculating rewards.]

[Reward for the First Orgy - 1,000,000 Dollars.]

"Wow," Ethan commented, slightly disappointed. "That was quite small, actually. I expected something more grand for a quartet."

[Well, you already obtained the special reward for sleeping with the director in the prison office, so there is not much more to offer. Most of the rewards overlap]

Ethan recalled that prize. It wasn't that he didn't want to redeem it, but it was too good, and he still wanted to keep it. It was his wild card, his insurance against bad luck.

[Gold Level Roulette Ticket.]

It was an excellent prize. His Silver level skills were magnificent; a Gold level was beyond his imagination. But there was no second chance, which was why he had been postponing its use. He wanted a place with good feng shui to use it, even though he didn't even know what that was; he just knew he was too afraid of getting something useless, like a simple "stone."

Damn it, it was one hundred thousand Lux Points he could obtain if he was lucky, or a simple, worthless stone if the roulette wheel betrayed him. Too much risk, too much anxiety.
