Chapter 209: The Fallen King

After a moment that felt like an eternity, Ethan lifted his face. His eyes now saw much more; it was as if he had always viewed the world through dirty lenses, and now the world was dazzling, perhaps too bright.

"Looks like you liked my drink" said Amethyst, his innocent smile unwavering.

"What was it?" asked Ethan, his curiosity piqued.

"It's called Paradise Blue," said Amethyst. "It's a drink that is made with mmm... perhaps it's better if you don't know what it's made of."

Ethan considered pressing the issue, but he truly didn't dare ask, not wanting to vomit if the answer turned out to be truly disgusting.

Ethan pushed himself off the floor and sat down on one of the chairs at the gigantic table, looking toward the colossal monster seated across from him. Although he had many doubts, seeing that giant creature didn't let him think of anything else.

"You're curious who this giant creature is and why he's here, aren't you?" asked Amethyst, still perched casually on the giant's shoulder.

"The truth is, yes," said Ethan. "He looks truly terrifying and doesn't seem like a decorative statue."

"No, no, he is not a statue," said Amethyst. "We could say he is an invader. He is the one who destroyed my kingdom. No one knows his true name, but he is known across the dimensions as the King of Darkness."

"King of Darkness..." repeated Ethan.

"That's right," confirmed Amethyst. "The bastard managed to ambush my kingdom and destroy it, or perhaps we could say I underestimated him too much, and when I wanted to do something, it was too late. I admit my fault."

"May I know how he succeeded?" asked Ethan.

"Mmm. It would be better if you saw it for yourself" said Amethyst.

The vast, futuristic room around them shimmered, distorting reality. Suddenly, Ethan was looking out over a stunning celestial kingdom. It was a marvel of golden and crystalline architecture, floating among nebula clouds. Giant intergalactic ships, sleek and beautiful, moved gracefully through the sky like luminous fish. The technology was beyond spectacular.

The perspective warped, zooming in on a massive, decadent palace. King Amethyst was visible inside, floating and having sex simultaneously with at least one hundred naked women.

"Pardon, pardon, I didn't want you to see that and crave it, hahaha," said Amethyst's voice, now sounding like a narrator in Ethan's mind. "But this was the very moment of the invasion."

Just as Amethyst continued his unrestrained pleasure, something colossal exploded in the distance. He instantly jumped to his feet, a brilliant golden scepter materializing in his hand, and slammed it against the massive shockwave. The explosion tore away a large section of his palace, sending the hundreds of women flying outward, grievously injured.

In the heavens, hundreds of thousands of gigantic enemy ships, shrouded in a dense black mist, covered the skies. They began to glow, unleashing colossal lightning bolts that impacted Amethyst's beautiful planet.

King Amethyst floated out, extending his arms wide and making all the concentrated lightning bolts explode harmlessly in the upper atmosphere. However, the sheer force of the impact replicas was so brutal that buildings below continued to collapse like sandcastles.

The defense reacted. Millions of small, agile ships, followed by massive war vessels bearing the emblem of the Realm of Pleasure, surged out. Beings of diverse, shining races floated out at full speed, rushing toward the black mass. Some used futuristic weapons that launched beams of concentrated light; others used their bare fists to launch shockwaves that shattered enemy ships.

A fierce, brutal battle began between the two groups: explosions ripped through the void, gigantic ships fell burning to the planet's surface, and warriors exploded in the skies upon receiving direct impacts from the black fleet's powerful weaponry.

The scene continued its chaotic brilliance. The King Amethyst, now a blur of purple and gold, roared, surging into the fray. Behind him, dozens of women of various races—his loyal, powerful consorts—joined the attack on the invading black fleet. Amethyst unleashed devastating energy from his golden scepter, striking out and instantly incapacitating hundreds, perhaps thousands, of the massive enemy ships. He roared and shouted, elated and excited, fighting with the joyful fervor of a warrior who believes everything is under his control.

But then, the unthinkable happened.

Behind him, his colossal palace, the seat of his power, was violently enveloped in darkness. A dense, sickening black cloud descended and began to devour the structure. Amethyst looked back, his victorious expression shattering into disbelief and horror. The worst possible catastrophe had occurred. The King of Darkness's army had successfully infiltrated the planet's internal defenses and destroyed the protective core.

Amethyst tried to turn, desperate to rush back and stop the final, irreversible damage to his world, but before he could escape the battle lines, a massive bolt of black lightning shot out from the obscurity of the enemy fleet. It impacted Amethyst with colossal force, slamming him down and burying him deep into the ground of his own failing realm.

As Amethyst lay stunned and defeated, a guttural, monstrous voice boomed, resonating across the heavens, drowning out the screams of battle and the sound of falling cities.

"Where do you think you're going, little rat..."

King Amethyst, bleeding and furious, hauled himself out of the impact crater he had made in the planet's surface and looked up at the sky. There, hovering above his shattered kingdom, was the true perpetrator: the colossal monster Ethan had seen earlier, a ten-meter tall entity encased in complete battle armor, with a vast quantity of swirling black mist dancing around him.

"Today is the day to end everything..." the monster's voice resonated, shaking the very ground. "Today you and everything you love will die. I will take it all from you. I will leave no stone unturned in this place."

King Amethyst roared, his voice laced with desperation. "Even without my shield, I can annihilate you! You are not that powerful!"

A sinister, smiling expression seemed to twist into the black mist covering the colossal being's face. "You think not? Look again" responded the King of Darkness.

Behind the giant figure, a new entity materialized: a woman holding a crimson harp. Her presence was cold, elegant, and lethal.

"Who are you?" demanded King Amethyst, his defiance finally giving way to genuine confusion.

"I see you forgot me, Amethyst..." she replied, her voice smooth and chilling. "Then you must die...!!"
