Bang~! Bang~! Bang~!
As she continued to try and break through the invisible wall again with different methods over the next few minutes, Scaly ultimately had to give up, as she couldn't leave as much as scratch on the wall that seemed to block her from making her way down into the second and more important farm field.
Even worse, she couldn't go around it either, as it seemed to surround the valley created by the small mountain surrounding the farm field.
In the end, if she wanted to enter the place, it looked like she would have to go through the tunnel that was guarded by two mountain gnolls, something she wanted to avoid as it would definitely alert any passing mountain gnolls who happened to pass by and see them missing.
Even worse, given that the entire place seemed sealed off outside of the small tunnel, Scaly feared that she might end up getting trapped inside the farm field without any way to escape when the mountain gnolls discovered that she had gone inside.
Though not that scary if it was only the wolf riding mountain gnolls she would have to deal with, it would be completely different if more powerful mountain gnolls started appearing when she ended up stuck fighting the wolf riding mountain gnolls inside.
So, with that in mind, Scaly slowly came up with the idea of sneaking past the two guarding mountain gnolls without them noticing.
Even though this was difficult considering their excellent sense of smell that far surpassed any normal monsters, she did have an idea on how she could avoid them from smelling her… Although… It wasn't something she wanted to do, but, for her to continue increasing her strength, there was little she wouldn't do…
Splash~!
And so, a few seconds later, Scaly found herself rolling around in what was a large mud pit that she had created.
Not just that, but to mask her own scent and ensure she wouldn't be discovered, she had to mix a little something extra into the mud and ensure that the mountain gnolls couldn't smell her no matter how close they got.
Finished preparing after she was completely covered in mud and the secret ingredient, Scaly began making her way towards the tunnel leading into the well-protected farm field…
Growl?
Almost immediately after she got close to the tunnel, one of the two mountain gnolls seemed to have noticed her, as a clear frown was present on its face as it informed its companion about the situation and both of them began making their way over towards the small path of forest, she was hiding in right next to the tunnel entrance-
Squeak!?
And just when the two were about to move aside the bushes she was hiding in, she released the mountain rabbit that she had grabbed along the way and had been silently holding on to with one of her claws.
Growl!?
Growl…!
Seeing the mountain rabbit that suddenly emerged from the forest, the two mountain gnolls let out surprised growls before a hungry look appeared in both of their eyes-
Rustle~!
Swish!
And so, without carrying the slightest bit about Scaly and the stench that surrounded her, the two mountain gnolls set off after the escaping mountain rabbit. Not worrying too much about the entrance they were guarding, as it would only take a short time for them to catch the small mountain rabbit with their strength.
Swish-!
It was exactly this opportunity that Scaly had been waiting for, as she used all of her strength to dash forward after the mountain gnolls disappeared out of view. Soon making it to the tunnel before rushing inside it without any hesitation.
Squeeeak!
Just a short time after she entered the tunnel, the loud cry of the mountain rabbit could be heard echoing out not too far away, as it was caught by the two mountain gnolls.
Prompting Scaly to increase her speed before ultimately slowing down and hiding herself behind a rock after making it around halfway through the tunnel, as the two mountain gnolls returned and began examining the tunnel and the surrounding for any problem before both of them began to happily devour the mountain rabbit after finding no problems.
As for the smell that had been left behind when she had entered the tunnel, the mountain gnolls didn't think too much about it and just thought it came from the mountain rabbit that they had just caught.
After all, they had only been gone for a few seconds and it wouldn't be that easy to pass through the tunnel in such a short period of time, let alone without any of them noticing anything.
Rustle~
And so, with the two guarding mountain gnolls unaware of the danger that they allowed them to slip past them, Scaly slowly began making her way through the tunnel.
All things considered, it wasn't too difficult considering that the two mountain gnolls were focusing most of their attention on the area outside the tunnel or on eating the recently caught mountain rabbit. Not really paying much attention to the tunnel itself.
Because of this, after a few minutes of slow travel through the close to a hundred-meter-long tunnel, Scaly managed to successfully enter the second farm field without being noticed by any of the mountain gnolls-
Splash!
And the first thing she did was use her water magic to clean herself up in a rather secluded location. Not really fearing discovery as most of the mountain gnolls she had seen so far were only around level 20, while having most of their attention taken up by taking care of the different crops that seemed to be grown inside the valley that the second farm field was located inside of.
Finished washing herself up and ensuring that she was once again clean and didn't have any mud or… Ehm… Worse… Covering her body, Scaly climbed up the side of one of the smaller mountains to get a good view of the farm field that she now found herself inside.
However, what she discovered was not something she expected…
Instead of a large farm field with a few mountain gnolls going around to take care of the plants and crops growing there, she discovered that only the first part of the valley had a location for growing crops.
The rest of the valley was covered in several small buildings with smaller mountain gnolls running around while doing what Scaly guessed to be some kind of training to increase their strength, as they swung different weapons with an older looking mountain gnoll watching over them.
This… So many mountain gnolls!
However, the most important thing was the fact that the number of mountains gnolls present inside the valley far exceeded her original estimations, there were not just around a hundred or so mountain gnolls present, but instead close to a thousand!
If she could kill all of them, even if most of them were younger mountain gnolls, her strength would definitely increase by a lot!
But… There was one problem…
[Mountain Gnoll, Grand Teacher, lvl 61]
More precisely, one mountain gnoll that would prove to be a problem when it came to carrying out her plans of killing all the mountain gnolls inside the valley.
Level 61… Although her strength had increased by a lot after her fourth evolution, she still clearly remembered the strength she had seen those humans and monsters who reached this level had done and she understood that even if she could match someone of this level, it would not be an easy fight and would drag on for an extended period of time.
Considering that she wanted to avoid something like that, as more mountain gnolls would end up appearing if she was too slow, Scaly had to find a way to deal with this powerful mountain gnoll without wasting too much time.
As for the rest of the older mountain gnolls present…
[Mountain Gnoll, Junior Teacher, lvl 12]
[Mountain Gnoll, Teacher, lvl 23]
[Mountain Gnoll, Senior Teacher, lvl 34]
[Mountain Gnoll, Teacher…]
None of them proved to be of any concern, as the strongest one outside of the grand teacher mountain gnoll had only reached level 34. Even without her magic to help her, they would easily get cut down-
Wait! Easy to defeat without magic… Maybe I can kill that grand teacher mountain gnoll fast if I use the lightning magic. The only problem is that I will have to hide and wait until I recover my mana, while I still don't know if the lightning magic will be strong enough to kill such a powerful monster in a single blow…
Narrowing both her eyes as she thought about this, Scaly knew that although her lightning magic was powerful, she had no idea how strong it was and if it could really deal with such a powerful mountain gnoll, but… Not wanting to give up on such a large amount of experience, she ultimately decided to try. Finding a spot to hide while her mana recovered back to its peak.
