Ethan closed the notification panel. He understood that what he had done had a significant impact on LionArk Guild's reputation in the eyes of the players, even though Ethan had acted only to take revenge.
But because of the influence of the Big Three Guilds, everything they did always looked good and correct to everyone, no matter what they had done.
No player in the game dared to fight them because their power level was much higher. Players preferred to keep their lives and sanity in the game rather than confront the people from the Big Three Guilds.
Risa clearly wanted to know what had actually happened to Ethan, but his mood was bad. Risa did not want to disturb him at all.
Because of that, Risa chose to stay quiet and let Ethan handle his own problem. If he needed her help, she would gladly help him.
Ethan and Risa talked with the others, discussing many things from light topics to heavy ones. Ethan listened, and sitting with them allowed him to learn a lot.
One of the things he heard about was the Tower Artifacts. But that was not Ethan's priority now. There were four floors left before reaching floor fifty, and Ethan preferred to focus on that.
They kept talking until late at night. One by one, the village guards said goodbye and left the field, leaving Ethan alone with Risa.
"Ethan?" Risa asked.
Ethan heard Risa's voice calling him. He turned and saw her looking at him, as if she was curious about something.
"What?"
"Are you okay?" Risa asked.
"I'm fine."
Risa fell silent. Ethan's face showed a smile when he looked at her, as if he did not have any problems.
But his eyes did not lie. It was clear that his eyes showed he was thinking about something serious, yet he still refused to tell Risa.
"Why are you asking?"
Now it was Risa's turn to smile. She said she was only worried about Ethan's condition after he slaughtered the people in Scavenger Black City.
Ethan raised his hand and gently brushed Risa's hair. He tried to calm her and keep her from worrying about him. He explained that he was fine.
After midnight passed, Risa and Ethan decided to rest. Risa slept in the tribe chief's home, while Ethan slept in the small house the tribe had prepared for him.
Tomorrow would be the day everything changed. The arrest notice for him from Scavenger Guild must have already spread to the lower floors.
It was possible that Scavenger Guild players might come to floor forty-six to hunt him. But Ethan had prepared himself.
He was ready to accept every consequence for what he had done, including being treated as an enemy by everyone.
It was the sacrifice Ethan had to make to restore LionArk's honor.

The next day.
Floor forty-six boss castle.
After getting the red teleport token from the Blood-Cursed Tribe, Ethan and Risa left the village heading north, where they immediately saw the black castle, the place where floor bosses waited for challengers.
They walked toward the castle gate, but stopped when they saw five men in black uniforms standing and blocking their path.
Risa narrowed her eyes. Ethan stared at them seriously. He could already guess who those five men were, judging from the same black uniforms as the people he had killed in Scavenger Black City.
"I already expected this. You came straight here to capture me, didn't you?" Ethan asked.
"Ethan! You went too far. You wiped out all our members in the city. We can't let you go!" one of them shouted.
"Weren't you the ones who started the problem with LionArk? You destroyed our city."
"Isn't it normal for me to demand something in return for what you did?!" Ethan snapped.
"You have no idea what our problem really is!"
One by one, they ran forward at high speed. Ethan reacted quickly, summoning Bloodblade Ashura and gripping it tightly.
[Mode Ashura Activated]
Ethan's appearance changed. His hair turned red and a surge of power rushed through his body. Those who tried to fight jumped back after realizing Ethan's strength was far greater than they expected.
"I killed many of your people in that city. What do you think will happen if I attack you?" Ethan asked.
"What are you waiting for?! Attack him now!"
Forced by their party leader, the four men rushed forward again with agile movements. Ethan had to stay alert. He needed to defeat them quickly.
"Lyodra! Neryss!"
[Soul Servant Mode Aggressive Activated]
[Lyodra Vulkanis || Lv. 10 || S-R || 1000 MP]
[Neryss Abyssborn || Lv. 10 || S-R || 1000 MP]
Hearing Ethan call their names caused the soul servants Lyodra and Neryss to appear in front of him. They glowed, and their bodies changed from chibi form to adult women.
Lyodra floated while holding a fire spear. Neryss held a magic staff. Ethan did not summon them to fight, but to protect Risa.
"Take Risa out of this castle and keep her safe," Ethan said firmly.
Lyodra and Neryss nodded. They flew toward Risa and led her out of the black castle. At first, Risa refused because she wanted to stay by Ethan's side and help him fight the assassins.
But Ethan refused. He planned to use a skill that affected enemy attributes. Risa had a red cursor above her head, and Ethan's skill system might detect her as an enemy.
That would be bad.
With a little pressure from Ethan, Risa finally agreed to his order. She left the castle under Lyodra and Neryss's protection.
I need to be fast. Lyodra and Neryss can only stay for fifteen minutes. If Risa is left unprotected, it could be dangerous for her life.
Ethan stabbed Bloodblade Ashura into the ground, causing a pool of blood to spread and replace the castle floor. The skill effect activated.
The assassins received debuffs that lowered their ATK and SPD, while Ethan gained increases in both stats. It would only last for twenty seconds.
In that short time, Ethan had to defeat the assassins no matter what.
"Why did my strength and speed drop?" one of them asked.
"Is his skill a simple form of a domain skill?" another assassin asked.
Ethan pulled out his sword and dashed forward in a streak of red lightning. The assassins panicked. They tried to dodge and fight back, but their strength had weakened, and they failed to escape.
"AAKKKHHH!"
He slashed them again and again without stopping. Every second his blade hit their bodies felt like torture to them.
One by one, they died at Ethan's hands without being able to fight back. Watching the horror, the party leader finally understood how Ethan slaughtered the people in the city.
Body parts were scattered across the floor. Ethan stood in front of the party leader, the only one he had not killed yet.
"A-Are you going to kill me?" the man asked, panicking.
Ethan gripped his sword, then swung it to the side, sending a crimson slash flying.
"Yes!"
