Chapter 177: The End of Blood-Cursed Side-Quest

Ethan and Risa left the Blood Palace, walking with the tribe elder and the soldiers until they reached the city square.

The tribe soldiers had already gathered in the hall and cleared the crowd, following Queen Ayana's command.

Many people were curious, since this happened right after the attack on the city's front gate.

From the direction of the Blood Palace, Queen Ayana arrived with Ethan and Risa.

She knew very well what was needed to activate the red teleportation tokens.

According to her memory, activating a red teleportation token required a large amount of blood power.

In Ethan's case, blood power was MP. Queen Ayana didn't know the exact amount of blood power needed.

"Try activating one red teleportation token. That way, we'll know how much blood power you need," Queen Ayana said.

Risa agreed. She would try activating the red teleportation token that belonged to her village.

It was to prove whether her power was more than enough to activate all forty-nine red teleportation tokens.

One of the teleportation tokens floated in front of Risa. Queen Ayana explained many things about activating the item.

Risa listened while Ethan stood beside her, watching the girl and staying ready in case she suddenly needed help.

After understanding how to do it, Risa cut the tip of her thumb and sprinkled a drop of blood onto the teleportation token.

Slowly, the item began reacting to Risa's blood. The token started glowing red, a sign that it had been activated through Risa's blood.

Risa started channeling her blood fire magic forward. The red teleportation token received her magic power, then the item exploded, surprising many people, including Ethan.

Ethan looked shocked because for him, this was something new and unexpected. He was truly amazed by the administrator's ability to create lore and an NPC ecosystem inside the game.

The explosion was replaced by the appearance of a red portal spinning clockwise. Risa smiled. She had activated her first red teleportation token without exhausting herself.

"How is it?" Queen Ayana asked.

"I'm good. I think I can open five to seven portals today," Risa answered, turning to look at Ayana.

Ayana smiled. It was good news that deserved to be celebrated. The city needed to welcome the villagers who would migrate from the lower floors to floor fifty.

The more people they had, the more the Blood-Cursed Tribe could dominate floor fifty. Queen Ayana was certain no outsider would dare challenge them.

Not long after, the first person to come from the first floor was Nok. Risa saw Nok with teary eyes, and tears streamed down her face.

"NOK!" Risa shouted.

"Risa?"

They hugged tightly, burying their faces into each other's shoulders. More people soon arrived, from elders to little children.

They brought their valuable belongings. It was time to migrate from the dangerous first floor to the safe fiftieth floor.

Queen Ayana was truly touched. Every king and queen of the Blood-Cursed Tribe had always wanted to relocate the tribe members living on the lower floors, but that concept had never been realized due to the obstacles posed by each floor boss.

But Ayana always believed in the prophecy, especially the one from Lord Gor. Her mother often told her that one day, Lord Gor would come from among the outsiders.

He would not be dangerous. He would help the Blood-Cursed Tribe reach their dream. She also told Ayana that the tribe would always be safe as long as Lord Gor's reincarnation existed.

Today, it was proven. The prophecy had come true. The relocation process had begun from the first floor, successfully saving around one hundred and fifty villagers.

"Prepare land in the southwest and northwest parts of the city. Bring out all the materials we have. Build their houses there!" Queen Ayana commanded.

Her order was not only followed by the elders, but every tribe soldier stood ready to carry it out.

Cheers erupted across the city square as the citizens celebrated the arrival of the village people. No matter their condition, they were still tribe members. Tribe members were family.

After her emotional reunion with Risa, Nok turned and walked toward Ethan. She looked awkward, her face red, not knowing how to respond to the person who had saved them.

"Thank you so much for saving us, Ethan. We will always remember your kindness," Nok said.

"You're welcome. I did it because it was also my mission," Ethan replied.

[Congratulations, you have completed the Limited Side-Quest Blood-Cursed Tribe]

[Main Objective:]

[1. Relocate all village residents to Floor 50] [✓]

[2. The Blood-Cursed Tribe Leader must not die] [✓]

[3. The Host cannot reject the mission. Refusal = Death] [✓]

[Reward: Ashura Set Equipment (Legendary)]

[Congratulations, you obtained Equipment]

A notification panel appeared in front of Ethan, clearly stating that he had completed all three objectives in this side-quest.

He was happy. He was finally free from the Blood-Cursed side-quest that had tied him down so tightly.

Right when Ethan was about to press the [Use] button on the Ashura Set Equipment, another notification suddenly appeared. It shocked him because he did not expect something like this.

[Congratulations, the Administrator has given you a special item]

[1x Dimensional Portal (Expires in 1 day)]

A Dimensional Portal? Even though the mission panel had never listed such a reward before. What exactly was the meaning of that dimensional portal?

Since Ethan felt that his task here was done and that Risa could handle the rest with Queen Ayana, he decided to take his leave.

Queen Ayana immediately looked at him, and Risa was the most shocked upon hearing that Ethan was going to leave.

"W-Wait! Where are you going?" Risa asked.

"There are some things I have to do outside the Tower. Queen Ayana already placed a Teleportation Rune on my sword," Ethan answered.

"I will come here quickly if a major problem happens that threatens the Blood-Cursed Tribe."

"No matter what, this tribe is still under my protection."

"But you just got here, shouldn't you—"

Nok gently patted Risa's shoulder. The woman understood Risa's worry. It was hard for her to part with Ethan, who had fought alongside her from floor one to floor fifty.

But this was a form of maturity for Risa. She had to realize and accept that Ethan also had another life outside the Tower.

His life couldn't revolve around her and the Blood-Cursed Tribe forever.

Risa looked at Nok, and Nok nodded and smiled, as if gently asking Risa to let Ethan return to his city.

Queen Ayana watched them. She stepped toward Ethan and reached out her hand, asking him for a handshake.

It was not a cultural gesture of the Blood-Cursed Tribe, but Ayana knew that a handshake was a sign of mutual trust.

"I cannot keep you here. If you want to go, all I can do is pray for your safety," Queen Ayana said.

Ethan was glad Queen Ayana treated him kindly. He also needed to return to the city because he had many things to do.

But the first thing he wanted to do was use the Dimensional Portal item.

The administrator had given that item personally, which meant the administrator was still alive and closely watching the game's ecosystem.

Ethan walked away from the city square, escorted by two tribe soldiers. He stopped and turned back, waving at Risa and the others.

"Take good care of yourselves," Ethan shouted.

"You too, Ethan. Thank you for everything!"
