Chapter 179: Return to The Tower

Ethan's eyes clearly saw Luna stepping out of the wardrobe, wearing a simple shirt and long pants.

They stared at each other for a moment, still unable to believe they could meet again after being separated for more than three months.

Luna burst into tears of relief. She ran fast toward Ethan and hugged him tightly.

"I knew… you would come for me," Luna said.

Ethan felt his heart beating hard, though he didn't know what kind of feeling rose inside him.

He couldn't make sense of it. Even so, Ethan always saw Luna as his own little sister, and it just happened that Ethan did have a younger sister back home.

That was why Ethan always had a brother's affection for Luna, a different situation compared to Seraphelis.

The two of them sat together at the edge of the bed, and Luna told many stories about what she had been doing while Ethan was gone from this world.

The girl felt lucky because the Thousand Stars World lost all its dangerous monsters right after Ethan left.

That allowed Luna to stay alive safely, without being threatened by anything.

For food? She sometimes went into the forest to pick fruits there.

If she felt motivated, she would go to the city of Arkan and take bread that had not expired yet.

Luna was lucky to be surrounded by many food sources around her, which was why she could survive for three months without Ethan.

Listening to Luna's story made Ethan both proud and sad. He truly regretted that he couldn't bring Luna with him when the event ended.

But all the regret disappeared, paid in full by being able to meet the navy-haired girl again. That alone was enough to make Ethan relieved and happy.

After finishing her story, Ethan invited Luna to eat lunch together.

He also explained that their time in the Thousand Stars World was only three days, and Ethan had already used more than half a day to search for Luna.

"In that case, we should go, Brother Ethan," Luna said.

"We can reach the City of Uruk quickly. For now, just eat first."

Ethan lit a campfire and grilled slices of meat above the flame. The smell of roasted meat, something Luna had not tasted in so long, felt tempting to her.

Fortunately, Ethan still had plenty of roasted meat in his supplies, allowing Luna to eat as much as her stomach could handle.

Ethan smiled when he watched Luna devour the meat he prepared. It confirmed his guess that Luna didn't often eat meat because she didn't know how to hunt.

Two hours passed, and Luna had finished all the meat. But her eyes looked heavy, clearly showing she was getting sleepy.

"Being too full is making you sleepy. Am I right?" Ethan asked.

"HWWAAAH! I think so."

Ethan nodded. He brought Luna back to the two-story building and climbed up to the second floor.

When they reached the same room, Ethan immediately told Luna to rest for the day.

Since there were no monsters wandering around, Ethan and Luna would leave for the City of Uruk at night.

The Dimensional Portal was there and would stay there for three days. With their current situation, Ethan was sure they would leave the city that night and arrive there tomorrow morning.

While waiting, Ethan sat on the floor with his attention on Luna. On the bed, Luna slept soundly with half her body covered by a warm blanket.

She would only need a few hours before waking up again. Ethan was sure Luna would wake up around 7 or 8 that night.

Ethan opened his inventory and brought out the Ashura Set Equipment, a set that showed crimson-red armor with blazing flames.

Even though Ethan used the item, his appearance would not change because he activated the costume feature, not the armor.

But by using the item, Ethan would still gain increased strength thanks to the higher rank of this equipment compared to what he had before.

[Ashura Set Equipment has been used]

[Base ATK & DEF:]

[ATK: 46255 || DEF: 43655]

Ethan smiled when he saw it, something worth celebrating since his base ATK and DEF had gone up.

Even so, the increase in ATK and DEF would continue to rise as Ethan's level grew, his attributes increased, and his items became higher in quality.

At exactly seven in the evening, Luna woke up from her sleep.

When she turned her head, she clearly saw Ethan sitting on the floor beside her bed, waiting for her while looking through his individual system panel.

"Good evening, Ethan."

"Good evening, Luna. How was your sleep?" Ethan asked.

Luna nodded with a smile. She said she felt relieved and happy because she could sleep peacefully, even though before this she was always filled with anxiety since no one was protecting her.

Now, with Ethan near her, she no longer needed to be afraid of anything.

Luna sat up and rubbed her eyes that were still a little sleepy.

"Where are we going now?" she asked.

"If you're ready, we'll head to the City of Uruk. There is a Dimensional Portal there that connects this world to the game world," Ethan answered.

The girl nodded. Although Ethan had already told her about the Dimensional Portal, she still didn't know exactly what it meant or how it worked.

However, as long as Ethan stayed close to her, Luna believed she would be safe.

After getting ready and everything else, Ethan and Luna stepped out of the place.

Walking from the village in the west to the north would take a lot of time, so Ethan decided to use his Tempest Mode ability.

[Tempest Mode Activated]

His appearance changed, and a surge of power burst inside Ethan. Luna watched him with eyes full of admiration.

Three months without seeing him, Ethan now showed incredible strength when he met Luna again.

Even though there were no monsters roaming around, Luna felt certain Ethan could handle many powerful monsters with that ability.

"Wait! What are you trying to do?" Luna asked.

Ethan crouched down in front of her, turning his head toward her.

"I'm going to take you there quickly. Get on my back and put your arms around my neck."

Luna didn't know what Ethan intended to do, but she followed exactly as he instructed. Now, Ethan carried Luna on his back, ready to leave for the City of Uruk.

In an instant, Ethan leaped high onto a tree branch, then dashed from one branch to another.

His speed increased dramatically, becoming a streak of storm-like wind. At first Luna was startled and screamed, but over time she became used to Ethan's leaping speed.

They only needed five hours to travel from west to north, a journey that usually took seventeen hours on foot.

From ahead, Ethan and Luna saw stretches of snow, a sign that they were close to the City of Uruk. Luna smiled, impressed with Ethan's newfound abilities.

Arriving in Uruk, Ethan and Luna saw the Dimensional Portal still standing, glowing with a blue spiral that turned clockwise.

"Is that the portal?" Luna asked as she got off Ethan's back.

Ethan cleared his throat and nodded. He told her that he arrived in the Thousand Stars World through that portal.

It had helped him greatly. Without hesitation, Ethan held Luna's hand and brought her into the Dimensional Portal.

The moment they stepped through, Ethan was shocked to see Luna still in his grasp.

The portal didn't bring Ethan to the dark dimension like before. Instead, it immediately brought him to a stone cave in the floor-fifty forest.

What made Ethan happy was that Luna came with him. This was the first time Luna had stepped into a new world, something both exciting and nerve-racking for her.

"Where are we?" Luna asked.

"The Tower of Ascension. A tower containing dozens to hundreds of floors, each floor filled with monsters, tribes, and players like me," Ethan answered.

"So this is where you live?"

"No. My home is outside the tower."

"This is kind of confusing," Luna said with a sigh.

Ethan smiled. He raised his hand and stroked Luna's hair. Ethan promised to explain everything once he and Luna reached the city outside the tower.

For now, the most important thing for Ethan was to go to the Teleport Crystal and leave the Tower.

Luna nodded. She was ready to leave the Thousand Stars World and had begun to gather her courage to travel together with Ethan.

And so, a new chapter of Luna's journey began.
