Chapter 667: Against the Flaming Lion

Even before Ned could defeat his enemy, Idan had already engaged in a duel with the Flaming Lion.

"Flaming Lion, huh?" said Idan, and at that moment, he briefly thought of Elira, whom he had left at the Lava Lake without returning for her, just as Milisa had warned.

"Well, she won't be lost," Idan said, immediately forgetting about her, completely focusing on his opponent.

With an arrogant expression and a smirk, Flarex charged at Idan with flaming hair, leaving a trail of fire in his wake.

Twenty swords swirled around Idan, and then ten of them flew out at lightning speed to meet Flarex.

"You underestimate me," Flarex exclaimed indignantly, deftly dodging the swords, noticing that Idan had not used all his swords.

"Agile, which is not surprising, because he is from the feline," Idan thought before Flarex reached him and released the remaining ten swords. But this time, before Flarex could dodge, Idan detonated his swords, turning them into sharp shards that Flarex couldn't completely dodge.

The fragments pierced into the body of Flarex, who had managed to close his eyes, like a shot, piercing through his tough animal skin.

"Rrraarch," he growled, bleeding profusely and in unbearable pain.

His eyes turned bloodshot, and unable to contain his anger, he took on his true form, a Flaming Lion.

Flarex transformed into a mighty Lion, towering over three meters tall. His body was the color of lava, and his mane and eyes were ablaze with fire. With each exhale, flames shot out of his mouth and nostrils, scorching the space around him.

The debris that was under his paws began to turn red and melt, and the air around him became so hot that it was distorted by the heat.

After the transformation, Flarex turned his gaze to Idan, who looked at him calmly, expressing neither surprise nor fear. His indifference only served to increase the beast's anger.

Aiming at Idan, the Flarex growled, opening its mouth, from which a jet of flame shot out.

"Fire breath?" Idan said as if surprised, not even trying to dodge the attack.

The last thing Idan could avoid was the flames.

Of all the elements he possessed, fire was the most powerful. Moreover, he possessed the Form of a Flame Spirit, which made him a being of fire himself. No other flame or fire could harm him—on the contrary, they only strengthened and healed him.

Many were amazed when Idan did not dodge the fiery breath of the Flaming Lion, and it engulfed him and everything around him.

For some reason, the observers were not surprised that the man turned into a Beast, but more amazed that the opponent of the Lion did not even move from his place.

The world had changed so much in a short time that residents and even ordinary people were no longer surprised by such things. After all, there were Awakened Ones who acquired the Systems of certain creatures and could transform into a Beast for a while.

Before Flarex could finish his fiery breath, numerous pinkish-purple chains flew out from the rubble under his feet. They wrapped around his legs, preventing him from jumping away, and then, with thuds, wrapped around his body, tightened tightly and pinned him to the ground. At the same time, they wrapped around his mouth, blocking the fiery breath.

At that moment, Ned killed the Creature of Earth, and the first ripples passed through the barrier.

When Flarex's breath disappeared, everyone looked at Idan in disbelief. He stood in the middle of the red-hot ground as if nothing had happened, and even his clothes were not affected by the flames.

However, there was something unusual about his appearance. Strange pinkish-purple flames appeared around him, and his hair seemed to most observers to be on fire.

Flarex struggled to free himself, but the chains tightened around his body.

At that moment, Idan, using the fire power of Flarex himself, enhanced his Madness Energy by adding the element of fire to it. The more Flarex resisted, the more power the chains absorbed, becoming more and more durable.

A huge sword of madness energy began to form above the head of the trapped Flarex, looming over him like a guillotine.

Idan, who seemed completely indifferent by then, was actually assessing everything that was happening around him. He even managed to follow the battles of Ned and Bera. When Idan saw that another Earth Creature had attacked Ned, he braced himself for someone else to stop him. At the same time, he did not take his eyes off the Creatures of Wind, Darkness and Light, who were watching in shock and for some reason were not going to help Flarex.

Idan was completely focused on his goal of saving Arabel as soon as possible. Without thinking, he brought the sword down on Flarex without fully forming it. Under the gazes of numerous onlookers, Idan defiantly beheaded the Flaming Lion.

Many were surprised by how easily he coped with this task. But Idan himself was most amazed, because he did not notice that anyone was trying to interfere and prevent him from killing this powerful beast.

Flarex couldn't believe that he had been so easily defeated, much less beheaded under the gaze of creatures he had always despised.

But what surprised him the most was that no one came to his aid, even though he had not arrived here alone. Before his consciousness was plunged into darkness, the image of another young Flaming Lion appeared in his mind, and only then did he realize why no one had saved him.

When the last spark of life faded from his fiery eyes, the flame went out, and a second wave of ripples passed through the barrier with a strong hum.

From the lifeless Flaming Lion, enveloped in flames, something burst out that Idan immediately recognized. He did not let this creature escape, trapping it with his Soul Force. As soon as Idan activated his affinity with Fire, the creature sensed it and, as if attracted by an invisible force, penetrated into Idan's body.

[Ding! A Symbiotic Creature of Fire has been detected.] System's voice rang out.

[After the death of its previous master, this Creature chose you, Host, as its new master, attracted by your affinity with the element of Fire.]

[Establish a symbiotic relationship with this Creature?]

[Yes] or [No]

"Put it off for later," — Idan asked.

[Accepted] — the System replied.

The death of the second Creature forced the others to stop waiting and act.

"Stop!"— this scream, like a sound wave, fell on Bera, trapping her in place and making it impossible for her to move.

This intervention prevented Beru, who was also one step away from victory and was about to kill a blue-haired woman who had turned into a strange but beautiful humanoid Creature of Water.

Bera, who was already ready to kill this woman, was furious at the interference. As soon as she regained control of her body, she rushed forward, intending to finish what she had started.

However, another woman stood in her way. Inhaling the air, she let out a high-pitched squeal towards Bera, and a new, more powerful sound wave fell on her, and Bera somehow managed to put out her wings, but the shock wave threw her back.

Bera crashed into the rubble with a crash, kicking up fragments of dust.

"Rraaaaa!" — Bera screamed, gritting her teeth in anger and frustration as she stood up among the rubble. Her thoughts started to get confused and she started to lose her mind. The energy density of madness around her increased significantly, becoming sinister and frightening.

Even the woman who intervened in the fight sensed the danger coming from Bera. And distracted by this, she did not notice the hidden attack that followed.

"Bluah," the wounded and weak blue—haired woman who had just been rescued spat out blue blood.

The Diamond-ranked Creature of Water turned to her younger and saw a pinkish-purple sword sticking out of her chest. While she was in shock from what she saw, the second sword pierced the woman's head, taking her life.

"Marisa!" she screamed in despair when she saw her companion's death.

A second, stronger wave passed through the barrier when the second Creature supporting it was killed.

A third powerful wave swept across the barrier as the third creature supporting it fell, and finally, the barrier collapsed.

The woman, enraged by the death of her younger colleague, ignored Bera and rushed at Idan, the one who had just carried out a dastardly attack.

"Finally," — Idan said, and emotion finally flashed across his face.

However, Idan did not relax his vigilance and noticed a woman who was rapidly approaching him with the obvious intention of letting out her "scream" again.

When Idan was about to meet her, four powerful Soul Forces suddenly descended on the woman, pinning her to the ground. Following that, spells woven from the elements of Ice, Madness, Darkness, and Water rained down on her.

"Shut your mouth, bitch, and don't you dare raise your hand against our man!" said the first culprit of this attack, appearing in front of everyone.

When Idan saw her, he couldn't hold back his usual smile, but then, when three more appeared one after the other, his smile faltered.

He saw four versions of Arabel, each beautiful in its own way.
