While her avatar was negotiating with Irina on the other side of the city, Arabel was sitting with Darkia at the Moonshade Pies eatery.
"Tell me honestly, are you following me somehow, Darkia?" Arabel finally asked after a long silence.
"Oh, and why did you come to that conclusion?" tilted Darkia's head.
"It's simple, you always end up where I'm going, as if you know in advance where I'm going."
"For example, now."
"It can't just be a coincidence that you came here to eat right before I arrived, as if you knew I'd be here soon."
"It's been a long day, but the time you chose doesn't even match lunch time."
"It's just a coincidence," Darkia said, and continued eating.
"I don't think so," Arabel countered, convinced that Darkia was watching her in some way. She couldn't figure out exactly how this was happening or how serious it was.
"Maybe she just knows where I am, or can she see what I see? Does she even know what I'm thinking and what I'm going to do? If that's the case, then she probably saw everything that happened between Dan and me at night," while Arabel waited for the negotiations that her avatar was conducting to end, her thoughts were filled with many questions like this.
At the same time, she silently watched Darkia's reaction as she continued to eat calmly.
When the negotiations came to an end and her avatar left the private room in the restaurant, Arabel's eyes narrowed as she watched Derkia.
During all this time, Darkia showed no activity or interest, although she was aware of Arabel's ability to use her avatar.
"Does this mean that Darkia is unable to read my thoughts and memories?" Arabel asked.
"No, don't rush it, Belle, maybe this is just a trick by Daria to make me think that," she argued to herself.
Darkia was aware of all Arabel's secrets, but Arabel herself knew almost nothing about the Dark System. She had no idea what the Dark System was capable of, and which System Hosts had already managed to subdue it, and what incredible capabilities it possessed.
Just the Eye of the Web, which had already fallen into Darkia's hands, was already bothering Arabel. And even if Darkia gave her word that the Eye of the Web would not interfere in her and her husband's affairs, this finally forced her to give up her smartphone and other devices.
"But if Darkia really can't read my thoughts and my memories, then how can she know where I'm going and where I am? How is she able to see through a disguise that even Sierra, Master, and Geminia can barely see?"
The system had not yet found an answer to this question, which increased Arabel's concern.
In her thoughts, going over various versions, she remembered a strange dream she had after her wedding night with Idan. In this dream, she saw their private house, where other versions of her lived.
Unlike the previous times when Arabel had been in contact with her other versions, as she remembered, in the dark, this time they were all in a certain place. Even individual rooms of her other versions existed in that house.
The reason Arabel suddenly remembered this dream is that during contact with other versions of herself, she clearly saw how her other versions were watching her memory on the TV screen, as if they were watching a "home video."
"No, no, it can't be," — Arabel began to doubt, denying her suspicions.
A thought popped into her head: what if Darkia wasn't related to her, but to one of her other versions? Was she watching her through the eyes of one of them, or through the eyes of all of them at the same time?
This idea came about when she remembered Idan's story about the appearance of her other versions in the real world. This could not but alarm Arabel, because she realized that the existence of these versions was not just a figment of her imagination, as she had previously thought, but something much more mysterious and inexplicable.
Having finally found at least some hints of an explanation and a vague suspicion of her questions, Arabel tried to recall all the details of that dream in search of something unusual and suspicious.
However, her attempts were interrupted by a sudden outpouring of violent emotions from Bera, which were transmitted to her through her connection with her first star.
It wasn't the first time Arabel had felt Bera's emotions, but this time they were much stronger than before. And, most importantly, Arabel herself was the cause of these emotions, or rather, her memories.
"By the way, Arabel, have you discussed my proposal with your husband yet?" Darkia finally spoke up when she finished cooking. After a long silence, she brought up yesterday's question again.
"Huh? What?" asked Arabel, who was confused by Behr's condition that she hadn't heard Darkia's question.
"I asked, what did you decide about my proposal?" Darkia repeated.
"Ah, that's..." — Arabel recalled her conversation with Idan, his position, and System's words. Feeling that Bera's condition was getting worse by the second, she answered without wasting time on reflection.
"We agree," Arabel decided to trust Idan and the System, giving her consent.
"That's great," for the first time that day, a smile appeared on Darkia's face.
"Give me time to warn and prepare them," she continued. "I'll let you know as soon as they're ready."
"Ah... okay," — Arabel nodded, and with that, she decided to leave this place.
"Well, I have to go," Arabel said, getting up and starting to leave, leaving Darkia to accompany her with a smile.
Worried about Bera, Arabel decided to recall her back inside her First Star.
Bera fell into a doze, and because of the strong impression Arabel's memories made on her, she began to have very crazy, dirty dreams.
After leaving the restaurant, Arabel hurried back to the Kingdom. The first thing she did was send one of the doppelgangers after Geminia to discuss Bera's condition with her.
Geminia did not take long to wait and soon appeared.
"What happened to Bera?" she asked, appearing in front of Arabel.
Unlike Ned, who had become an independent being after his evolution and no longer had a connection with her, Bera was still connected to Geminia, and her violent emotions did not go unnoticed.
"Well, how can I say… I used an avatar ability that I hadn't used for a while, and I didn't think my memories would affect her so much..." Arabel confessed. "Especially my intimate memories with my husband."
