Forced to Be a Villain: Starting With My Brain Extraction System

Chapter 102: Explosion!

'As long as I prepare thoroughly and use that artifact from the clan, this soul cannot run away.'

Zhufeng thought clearly in greed. He felt that the reason why he was injured today was that he was unprepared, that's all.

"Oh? Dao Oath? Do you really dare to take one?"

Master Xueyin was really surprised by his proposal, catching her off guard.

Suddenly, an enemy that wanted to refine her asked for a truce. Although what he wanted was her technique, Xueyin didn't mind giving it to him if it could buy her time.

To be honest, she even wished that Zhufeng would practice her technique. After all, this was her Dao, and the one who practiced her Dao would always be beneath her, no matter what.

So, she didn't mind giving him what he wanted and smiled slightly.

The only thing she couldn't really agree on in this deal was giving Tianyu to him.

That was the Disciple she took to revive her in the future. But since she had already noticed the greed in the eyes of Zhufeng, she felt that this calamity might be avoided easily today.

"Of course! Even....why don't we-"

"Crimson Sun Burst!"

Just as Zhufeng thought with glee that he could really make the deal today, suddenly a loud shout followed by the blazing energy blinded everything in his sight.

"Tinayu....don't..."

Master Xueyin hurriedly shouted to stop someone, but it was too late. Zhufeng was suddenly engulfed by the searing heat that threatened to melt even his existence directly.

"Hmph....overestimating much."

However, Zhufeng didn't get scared by such a magnificent display of power. Rather, his face turned solemn as a very rare seriousness appeared on his face, one that wasn't there before.

"An incomplete Divine Body...well, that was surprising."

Even when the blazing sun tried to engulf him, he mumbled lightly. This was the first time he felt threatened by a Qi realm cultivator.

Of course, he was surprised.

And precisely because of that, his eyes grew cold to the extreme as his murderous aura engulfed the entire chamber once again.

'Such a genius...I can't let him live even a second.'

Zhufeng decided and suddenly activated his defensive amulet, one that was a normal one from before. Still, it was more than enough to stop such a flimsy attack.

"Soul-Piercing Palm!"

As soon as he stopped the attack from Mo Tianyu, he moved instantly.

The spiritual force on his palm trembled with vicious intent as it shot straight toward Tianyu's chest, aiming to erase both body and soul in one strike.

The strength of the attack was so much that Tianyu could open his eyes wide. His body was still trembling from the previous clash. He tried to dodge, but his injured state made his movements stiff and slow.

Now he felt that he might have underestimated this guy a bit too much. Fortunately, he still had an amulet in his hands just in case.

However, just as the Soul-Piercing Palm was about to strike him squarely, the faint outline of a cauldron appeared out of nowhere.

It was transparent yet heavy, like an ancient phantom pressing down on the world itself.

Zhufeng didn't know when, Master Xueyin suddenly hovered in front of Tianyu with her soul trembling fiercely.

"Tianyu... move!"

Her voice cracked with urgency as she forced every bit of her remaining strength into that cauldron shadow.

Since even she was caught off guard by the stupid move of her disciple, she was more strained this time than before.

He remaining soul power was already getting drained rapidly.

Fortunately, her cauldron spun once and slammed straight into Zhufeng's incoming palm, releasing a violent ripple that tore the air apart.

Even after doing that, it continued unabated, heading towards unsuspecting Zhufeng.

"Impossible..."

Zhufeng muttered as the force from the cauldron hammered directly onto his chest. He staggered back several steps, completely shocked.

He never expected that a soul body like hers could still condense such an attack. His defensive amulet shook crazily, almost breaking apart from the impact.

He thought that she had already used too much power to break the array before. And that indeed was the case, as he could see that she was overdrawing her soul power forcefully just to kill him.

"Why...?"

Master Xueyin didn't stop to answer him, though. Instead, her cauldron rotated once more before smashing down fiercely on Zhufeng's side.

Suddenly, another blast erupted, almost equalling the one before. The entire chamber was directly cracked while Zhufeng was thrown to the ground, coughing out a mouthful of black blood.

"You... what are you doing... why..."

His voice trembled as he looked at her with disbelief. He truly didn't understand why the deal suddenly turned into a fight to the death. In his mind, everything was going smoothly.

He even believed they were about to reach a peaceful agreement.

But Master Xueyin's soul flickered violently. The cauldron's shadow dimmed too fast.

The power she used earlier was not something her current state could sustain. Her essence was thinning out at a visible speed.

But still, looking at the almost destroyed soul of Zhufeng, she knew that this danger was mostly over. Fortunately, he didn't seem to have any other protective amulet like before.

However, the cost was far greater than she had thought.

'Stupid idiot!'

All because of that one disciple who had to get involved in the fight he couldn't win.

He was basically forcing her.

Poor Xueyin didn't know how right she was

"Master... you..."

Tianyu saw his master getting visibly pale as her soul body began to flicker restlessly. So, he asked worriedly, at least on the outside.

"I told you not to act recklessly..." Xueyin forced a weak whisper, her voice filled with exhaustion.

There was resentment inside those words, too, a helpless frustration toward Tianyu for attacking Zhufeng in the first place. If Tianyu hadn't interrupted earlier, she might have bought more time to find another escape.

His impulsiveness forced her to use power she wasn't ready to use, and now she could barely keep her soul from scattering entirely.

Seeing the look of reprimand on her face, Tianyu lowered his head slightly. He didn't speak.

Internally, though, he felt a strange satisfaction because he managed to corner Zhufeng so badly that his master was forced to kill him with her own hands.

As long as this guy was killed, he was confident that he could find treasures that could strengthen his master with his luck. Not to mention the gratitude she would feel towards him at that time.

Tinayu thought he hit two birds wth one stone this time.

Zhufeng groaned weakly. The attacks from the cauldron crushed parts of his organs while his soul pulsed chaotically from the backlash.

"Why..." was the last thing he whispered.

His eyes gleamed with regret and disbelief. He really thought he would obtain the technique. He really believed she was about to hand it to him.

Unfortunately, before he could finish his next breath, the cauldron shadow spun once again. It slammed down with a dull thud, crushing his chest completely.

His body twisted before collapsing flat on the ground as his soul flickered violently once and disappeared.

Just as the chamber fell into silence, a sharp shrieking sound suddenly echoed from deep underground.

It was ear-piercing. It shook even the stone walls around them. Before Tianyu could react, a tiny dark bead near Zhufeng's corpse began trembling.

The bead cracked in the center and then exploded violently.

A wave of dark force burst out instantly, shaking the entire mine. Rocks fell from the ceiling while the ground trembled like it was trying to swallow them.

Seeing such a change, Master Xueyin's expression changed instantly. Her soul shook from the explosion, and her form dimmed too fast.

She barely held herself together.

'That Qi realm cultivator?'

She never thought that the weakling she had ignored during this entire conflict to have such a thing that could damage her soul.

She thought she would ask Tianyu to kill Zhiran afterward.

But now that she was swept up in the Yin Soul Bead explosion, even the trace of the strength left on her disappeared. She didn't have the power to stop another explosion again.

'Damn...what bad luck!'

Feeling the weakening soul and inability to handle the danger any longer, Xueyin, for the first time, got anxious.

So, using the last bit of her remaining power, she grabbed Tianyu and pushed him toward the tunnel entrance.
