After the dungeon gate opened, Laufgraan security came inside with weapons on hand. They found all the elven assailants unconscious or dead. The students were all well, save for some bruises, small cuts and unholy mana poisoning. Matthew was the only one severely hurt with his arm hanging by the flesh.
Matthew was now feeling the pain, he had to lift the Anesthesia skill since he was running out of mana. He was just sitting down concentrating on resisting the pain by Pyrzan's side, who was laying on the floor unconscious.
Outside the gate, there was already a medical team waiting for them all. Professor Claude and Farzan were there too. The students who were not trapped inside were all already gone, with the exception of Faralynn and her friends who were steadfast in waiting for Matthew to come out. Hoping he would be alive.
Erin sprinted when she saw Matthew coming out supported by a member of the security team. She hugged him tightly almost crying.
"You survived." she said.
"I did." He said bringing his good hand to hug Erin.
Faralynn's face went pale when she saw the state of Matthew's arm, she left before he was injured and didn't see how bad his arm was until now. All the girls, but Helen who had to be sent to a hospital, surrounded him. Tina took the place of the security officer in supporting Matthew.
"You're really lucky" Tina commented helping him walk towards the paramedics and ambulances that were waiting for the students.
Matthew was in too much pain to say anything and only smiled at her the best he could.
When all students were out, Claude cast Purification in the whole area healing all the unholy mana poisoning in all of those present.
Matthew was put on a stretcher and had his vital signs checked by a paramedic.
"How are you?" Mia asked while Matthew was injected with some anesthetic on his arm.
"Alive." He simply uttered.
"You saved me again." Faralynn said holding his hand for half a second before letting it go self-conscious about what the others would say.
"Next time you can save me." Matthew joked, the anesthetic stating to take effect on him.
"Jerk." Faralynn giggled hiding her face.
"You sound like my sister." Matthew chuckled.
"We'll take care of him, lady Faralynn." The paramedic said loading the stretcher inside an ambulance.
"Make his arm right." She said to the paramedic.
"I'll call your sister." Erin said to Matthew. "Let her know you'll be in the hospital… Again."
"Guess she's used to it by now." Matthew joked again while falling asleep.
"Tell her that we'll cover all medical expenses." Faralynn said to Erin after Matthew slept.
While Matthew was being transported to a hospital, Farzan sent the surviving elves to the hospital as well, with the exception on Pyrzan who he forcefully fed a mana potion to make her wake up.
She almost jumped when she woke up to find Farzan by her side, but the paramedic treating her wounds held her down.
"This is the third time." Farzan said angry.
"M-My lord." Pyrzan stuttered feeling the pressure of his gaze.
"I told Farynn I wouldn't stand still if he kept pursuing my daughter." He said slapping the stretcher where Pyrzan was laying and getting closer to her. "The only reason you are alive now is because you saved my students."
"I know that my lord." Pyrzan lowered her head ashamed. "We cannot disobey the orders of the head of the house."
Farzan breathed deeply trying calm himself down. His time on Earth changed a lot his perception of nobility and familial duties.
"You are faithful to the Laufgraan house." He commented.
"I am." Pyrzan said without raising her head.
"If I came back. Whose orders would you follow?" Farzan asked lifting her face by the chin. He was not gentle pressuring her chin with his fingers for her to know she only had one correct answer.
"Yours, my lord." She said trembling.
"Good." Farzan said releasing her and leaving her chin with a red bruise. "I'll make good use of you." He warned her.
Farzan then rallied some of his security and ordered them to watch the elves closely.
Professor Claude approached the dean after Pyrzan was taken away to a hospital to be checked for any soul damage.
"You're waging war back home?" The priest asked.
"I will." Farzan was succinct.
"Who will you take with you?" Claude asked looking him on the eyes.
"No one. I will do it myself. You assume the interim deanship when I'm gone. Make Firynn assume the security. I need it tighter than ever."
"Should I call you my lord again?" Claude joked.
"Yes." Farzan said looking at him. His face was the face of anger itself. "I won't let anyone harm my daughter any longer."
Claude just swallowed hard. He's never seen Farzan that angry before.
At the hospital, Matthew was rushed into surgery.
They had to cut off part of his arm that healed because of the healing potion, reattach his nerves and put his bones back in place. Using magical healing only sped up the natural regeneration of the body. To regrow lost body parts you needed the more rare Regeneration skill. Machines and magical tools with that skill were rare and expensive. But as Laufgraan itself was covering the medical expenses, Matthew's arm would return to normal leaving only a huge scar behind.
Erasing scars was part of another skill called Plastic Surgery, which also allowed the reshaping of bones and body structures. But that skill was even more expensive. It was used on him before, when he came out of hell, but this time the doctor who used it wasn't there.
After a couple of hours in surgery, Matthew was taken to a private bedroom.
When he woke up. Sarah was already there scrolling absent minded on her phone.
"Where am I?" Matthew asked confused because of the anesthesia he got during surgery. Depending on the type of surgery and the resources available to the hospital, sometimes chemical anesthesia was still used sometimes in place of the magical one that Matthew used so often.
"You're in hospital." Sarah said with a tired tone. "Again."
Matthew then remembered the dungeon, the fighting, his arm almost being cut off. He looked at his arm. It was tied down close to his body.
"They said that, because the muscle is new, you shouldn't be moving it yet until it's strong enough." Sarah said noticing him looking at his arm.
"I see." Matthew said still coming to his senses. "I'm hungry." A natural side effect of healing magic, part of the energy used to heal came from the body's reserves themselves. This also meant that people who were too weak could not be healed with magic without putting their lives in danger. That's where the Nourish skill, that converted mana into nourishment to the body, was most useful in medicine.
Sarah got up from the couch, picked a plate that was left on the table earlier, and brought it to Matthew. She then helped him eat after noticing he was having trouble finding his own mouth.
"They said you'll be discharged first thing in the morning. Dad will spend the night with you." Sarah said cleaning his face with a napkin.
"Thank you, sis." Matthew said smiling. A kind side of her bother that she rarely saw.
"You're high." She scoffed at him.
When his father arrived, Sarah hurriedly said goodbye and left.
After talking a bit with his son, Matthew's father sat down at the table, pulled a laptop and started to work. He had taken the next day to work from home so he could stay with Matthew and was taking a head start on the work.
Matthew's head cleared well after a while and then he remembered he leveled up after the Dullahan was destroyed. He decided to check his stats spending all his free points in Charisma so he could summon a spirit to use the Healing Totem skill.

Summoner again? This was the first time he got a class he already had. Not what he wanted, but it was great for what he needed. He increased his Summon Spirit skill level to D. It would make it easier to summon a spirit and also the other Summoner skills were a bit useless to him.
He got eager to talk with Professor Lydia again. Perhaps now he would be able to summon a spirit properly.
Matthew then pulled his phone. A message from Erin said she got his weapons from the dungeon and asked him how he was doing.
He replied thanking her and saying he was great. He'd need only some physical therapy to restore his arm back to normal. He would be leaving the hospital the next day. Perhaps even going to school, if the doctors allowed him.
After that, he scrolled on his phone until sleep crept on him and slept deeply until the next day.
