Yimiao is stubborn?
Or perhaps simply persistent.
Born in the homeland, raised in the homeland, one day will grow old in the homeland.
To Yimiao, this is merely a simple truth, not even worth calling a principle.
In comparison, the actions of Huayu and Chen Zhixing, who 'eat a little hardship and want to run away', are the ones deserving of disdain.
To this, Chen Zhixing could only react with helplessness.
Because he realized that in terms of temperament, he seemed indeed to be no match for Yimiao.
Thus, after being subjected to a round of cold sneers and ridicule from Yimiao, and being looked down upon, Chen Zhixing could only watch dumbfounded as she 'returned victorious'.
At least there was no physical fight.
Because there was no need.
Since Chen Zhixing already had the intention to leave the Celestial Profound, there was naturally no reason for conflict with Daluo Taoist Lands.
And so, it remained until long after Yimiao had left.
Chen Zhixing suddenly seemed to understand something, pointing in the direction Yimiao had left, and started cursing!
He understood!
Where did Yimiao get that so-called iron-willed determination, that inversely divine temperament!
That was gender advantage!
Between the same gender, the dynamic of you above and me below is a power struggle, a life-or-death relationship.
But...what about between different genders?
A male cultivator, upon discovering his position might be replaced, even if he keeps telling himself it's no big deal, his subconscious will still become irritable and angry, easily provoked by the Heart Demon, leading to unspeakable matters.
But a female cultivator...
Two tigers cannot share a mountain, unless one is male and the other is female!
With this gender advantage, the restrictions of the Heavenly Dao become nothing but guidelines pointing out where the 'Heavenly Dao's highly selected' outstanding opposite sex appears! It's all saved from needing Yimiao to pick herself!
For Yimiao, a female cultivator who holds a great Holy Land, what form of restriction could this be?
Simply put, it's a benefit!!!
It's this way when a male cultivator appears, but if it's a female cultivator... not to mention whether any female cultivator has ever appeared to replace Yimiao over the years, but even if one did appear, the relationship wouldn't necessarily be competitively exclusive!
It's hard for male lions leading prides to coexist, but what does that have to do with group-dwelling female lions?
"I actually believed your bullshit!"
As he spoke, Chen Zhixing's teeth itched with hatred, yet this time, he really had no solutions.
He truly hadn't thought that those who originally created these rules would even leave such an unconsidered loophole.
"This...is it also considered normal?"
Chen Zhixing smiled bitterly.
In his heart, he had already labeled the group who reformed the Celestial Profound Realm as a bunch of lecherous perverts who loved watching harems and male protagonists overturning power roles!
Otherwise, it's hard to make sense of these rules in the current Celestial Profound Realm.
"Well...it's not unworkable, after all, leaving the Celestial Profound to Yimiao, for a cultivator like me planning to leave the Celestial Profound, is still a good thing. At least this woman, when not going crazy, is a relatively steady Guardian of the rules. As the Holy Land Saint Master, at least she won't sit idly by and watch the Celestial Profound Realm descend into irreparable chaos."
Despite saying this, Chen Zhixing still felt a bit helpless in his heart.
The twisted rules given by the Celestial Profound Realm's Heavenly Dao was truly like the rules of lion prides on the African savannas of the past life.
Female lions stay to guard the pride upon reaching adulthood, while male lions must be driven out around adolescence to survive independently.
A strict rule that's almost unreasonable.
But at least, the remaining female lions won't allow other dog-like creatures to harm the home territory.
"Forget it, so be it. I'll wait for another year or so, and once the Descent begins, I can leave at ease."
Chen Zhixing sighed inwardly.
As for Huayu Immortal Venerable by the East Sea, who could be considered a half compatriot, Chen Zhixing really had no intention of meeting the other.
Even knowing that since the other also intends to leave, he shouldn't be targeted.
But rationality still told Chen Zhixing not to hang around under Huayu's eyelids.
Who knows if this East Profound Immortal Venerable will give him a slap in a moment of anger!
...
The rules set by the Celestial Profound Realm are truly not very friendly to cultivators like Chen Zhixing.
But at least they are not completely devoid of reason.
After all, the filtering mechanism this creates pertains to geniuses like Yimiao, Huayu, and Chen Zhixing, those rare prodigies who would be wasting their talents if they stayed in the Celestial Profound Realm following paths already tread by predecessors.
For people like them, staying in the Celestial Profound Realm to pursue the Tao of Longevity after their novice period can be seen as a great waste, even for the entire Human Race.
The predecessors feared that successors would lack in ambition, thus leaving this driving mechanism.
And for the Human Race as a whole, this choice has merits far outweighing its shortcomings.
After all, Longevity True Monarchs are born every century or so, but similar prodigal talents like them are the kind that millennia may not even bring forth one.
Letting them linger in the Celestial Profound is, in itself, a waste.
Chen Zhixing has prepared to leave the Celestial Profound.
But before leaving the Celestial Profound, he still has to attain the Longevity Tao within the Celestial Profound Realm.
This is not difficult.
One could even say it's extremely simple.
Unlike achieving Nirvana or Peak, proving the Longevity Tao doesn't involve any so-called Celestial Tribulation, not only does it lack tribulations by thunder, but it also presents certain benefits.
