In the dungeon passage,
Bitter Reciter Bryne proceeds slowly with the dark elf Kelina through this deep passage, without the aid of any acceleration spell.
As he advances, Bryne keeps an eye on the surroundings, sensing the slow fluctuations of Magic Power within the dungeon.
Although he maintains a blank expression, Bryne is already on high alert.
After all, this is an extremely dangerous dungeon, not to mention there's an unknown-sized dark elf city-state nearby, with a Legendary Rank dark elf matriarch present.
Though he hasn't made contact with the dark elf matriarch, Bryne has gathered intelligence and information about them from many sources.
If the elves above ground are a race that loves life and beauty, then the dark elves are almost the complete opposite.
Fallen, sinister, mad, debauched, and so on...
These adjectives can all be used to describe dark elves.
Of course, the power of the dark elf race is quite formidable too.
Otherwise, they wouldn't be one of the most dangerous Transcendent lives in the regions of the dungeon.
Every dark elf city-state matriarch is the most loyal follower of Spider Queen Lolth.
Rose also bestows different abilities to each dark elf matriarch as a result.
This is the most troubling issue when facing a dark elf matriarch.
As the Divine of the dark elf race, the influence of Spider Queen Lolth reaches deeply into the dark elves.
In fact, the predecessors of dark elves were the elves closest to the former Queen of Gods among the elves, each baptism observed under this Divine's gaze.
However, with the sudden fall of the Queen of Gods, the elves most affected by her influence transformed into dark elves.
This was an event that shocked the entire Elf God System.
Due to this, the Elf God System determined to view Spider Queen Lolth as an enemy, believing the once Queen of Gods was beyond redemption.
But ever since becoming an Abyss Lord, Spider Queen Lolth has stayed within the Endless Abyss and never left.
Only her avatars appear elsewhere, so despite the Elf God System's desire to eliminate her completely, they are helpless.
This split and chaos within the Elf God System is an extremely Hidden issue, unknown to many, and Bryne is only acquainted with a small portion.
Nevertheless, any legendary mage will not resist the urge to explore the unknown.
As long as they feel they are ready.
Bryne is the same.
The dungeon passage ahead is dark and long; Kelina leads Bryne, proceeding without hesitation towards her target at any intersection.
Bryne has already obtained quite a bit of useful intelligence from Kelina.
Yet for some reason, he feels a vague unease in his heart.
That's why he didn't actively bring Pascal and others along.
He is honest; he does not fully trust his ability to protect Pascal.
Fortunately, Pascal has matured a bit, no longer behaving as impulsively as he did when he was younger.
Bryne sighs slightly inwardly, as he leaves extremely Hidden magic imprints on the passage rock wall beside him.
The passage continues to descend, it's unclear how much time has passed.
However, the entire passage has expanded quite a bit.
The passage initially only allowed for ten people to pass side-by-side, now permits thirty or more.
Moreover, Bryne has indeed discovered traces of activity in some areas of the passage.
Though meticulously concealed, Bryne's keen eyes discern a presence roughly matching the dark elves' suspected physique.
Approaching?
Not long after, Kelina stops.
They are still within the dungeon passage, in the same rocky passage, under the same dim light.
Nothing seems unusual here.
Yet Bryne does not take the initiative to ask Kelina but quietly stays by, watching Kelina's actions.
Kelina turns to her left and stands before the stone wall of the passage.
She carefully glances at Bryne, then gently lays her left hand upon the wall.
Bryne senses no fluctuation of Magic Power, yet the wall in front of Kelina suddenly transforms.
Like turning into a liquid surface, it begins to ripple instantly.
Gradually, the wall's color fades, and the scene behind it suddenly appears before Bryne.
In the depths of this deep dungeon is a hidden, Mysterious city-state.
Like a dark star encrusted in the Darkness, surrounded by endless darkness and the unknown.
Donovan's overall color is gray-black, the dark elves' beloved tones symbolize their Mystery, coldness, and resilience.
The city's architecture is unique and eerie, starkly different from the bustling cities on the surface.
Most of the buildings here are constructed from massive black rocks and dark metals, carved with intricate runes and designs.
These runes flicker with faint light, seemingly containing powerful magic, guarding the city-state.
Towering spires pierce the hollow top as if intending to shatter the endless darkness.
The spires' peaks are sharp and bare, like the blades in the dark elves' hands, ready to meet enemy challenge at any time.
The towers are connected by thick black chains, engraved with Mysterious spells, swaying gently in the dungeon breeze, emitting crisp sounds as though narrating ancient stories.
