Urban Carefree Warrior God

Chapter 334: As a human we still need a bit of conscience!

A stranger suddenly divulged all of his secrets. This was clearly a provocation!

While harshly questioning Chen Yang, Qian Kun picked up his cell phone and began to contact his bodyguards.

SLAP!

He threw the phone onto the table, unflinching. "Kid, who the hell are you?"

"Who I am is of no immediate concern." Chen Yang crossed his legs, one hand tapping lightly on the tabletop. "Let's talk about you first. You already have so many women by your side, why do you need to go looking for more?"

"You… you already have a wife?" After a brief moment of shock, Chen Yan stared intensely at Qian Kun. Her heavily made-up face contorted with emotion as she interrogated him.

"Not only a wife, but two other women as well. You're the third," Yang Hu, standing to the side, chimed in at the perfect moment.

"Don't listen to his nonsense!" Qian Kun shot Yang Hu a glare before offering a brief explanation, then turned back to Chen Yang. "Kid, do you have any idea what the consequences are for slandering Qian Kun's reputation?"

"When will they arrive?" Chen Yang asked Yang Hu.

Yang Hu glanced at the time and grinned, baring his teeth. "Those two women should be here soon. His wife is bringing two kids, so she might be a little slower."

Qian Kun was speechless.

What the hell?

BANG!

Qian Kun slammed his palm on the table, sending the dishes clattering. He shot to his feet and pointed imperiously at Chen Yang. "Kid, what exactly are you trying to do? If I offended you in business, you could have come at me directly. What kind of man uses such despicable tactics?"

He was filled with righteous indignation, his words ringing with conviction. This was partly to mask his own guilt and partly a performance for Chen Yan, to prove his supposed integrity.

"Xiaoyan, let's go!" Qian Kun urged Chen Yan, trying to leave.

Chen Yan hesitated, not getting up right away. As the saying goes, there's no smoke without fire. Their accusers were so aggressive; could it really be just to sling mud?

"What, you don't believe me?" Qian Kun's eyes fixed on Chen Yan, his voice thick with annoyance.

"You call this despicable?" Yang Hu blocked his path, crossing his arms with a smirk. "Compared to you using a business deal to coerce someone, then trying to grab them from their home when plying them with alcohol failed, I'd say this is pretty tame, wouldn't you?"

Qian Kun was dumbfounded. He had done things like that so many times he couldn't immediately figure out who these two were avenging.

"I can't be bothered to talk to you!" Feeling things were taking a turn for the worse, Qian Kun had no desire to stay. He tried to shove Yang Hu aside. "Get out of my way!"

The shove was like pushing against a mountain. Yang Hu didn't move an inch. Instead, Qian Kun stumbled backward and fell, landing hard on his rear.

HISS!

A sharp pain shot up his tailbone, making him grimace.

"You… you…" Seething with uncontrollable rage, Qian Kun scrambled to his feet, his eyes wide as he glared murderously at Yang Hu.

But before he could finish his sentence, an elegantly dressed young woman rushed over, pointing at Chen Yan and demanding, "Husband, it's really you! Who is this woman?"

"And who might you be?" Chen Yan stood up, unwilling to back down.

"Husband!" another woman cried out as she arrived. Her voice was laced with suppressed fury. "Someone called me just now. They said you have a wife and that I'm just one of your three women. Is that true?"

Qian Kun was frozen. It was clear to see his face had turned a sickly shade of green. He had gone to such great lengths to keep these three women separate, making each one believe she was the only one. For so long, everything had been peaceful.

But now… all three of them were here?

Qian Kun gritted his teeth so hard it felt like his gums would bleed. The three women, after a moment of collective shock, all turned to stare at him in unison. They might have been naive, but they weren't stupid. At this point, it was impossible not to understand the situation.

"You… you said you only loved me," Chen Yan spoke first, her eyes filled with venom as she glared at Qian Kun. "It was all a lie! All of it!"

"Xiaoyan, let me explain," Qian Kun stammered, flustered.

Chen Yan snatched a fork from the table, her eyes welling with tears. "You even said you'd marry me," she said coldly. "Heh, I really was a fool."

She raised the fork and lunged, stabbing it into Qian Kun's lower abdomen.

Wincing in pain, Qian Kun swung his hand and slapped Chen Yan so hard she fell to the floor. "Bitch!" he roared. "Being my woman is a blessing your family could only dream of, and you have the nerve to stand here and whine? Believe it or not, I can have someone kill you right now!"

Blood trickled from the corner of Chen Yan's mouth as she muttered, "Liar… liar!"

The other two women were petrified by the scene. They backed away, their faces pale, too scared to make a sound.

At the restaurant entrance, a plainly dressed, somewhat disheveled middle-aged woman stood silently watching everything unfold on the floor above. The trace of deep affection that had been in her eyes just moments before turned to despair, and then to hatred. Tears streamed silently down her face.

"Are you here to laugh at me too?" Qian Kun glanced at her with utter revulsion, as if she were the most disgusting thing in the world. He pointed a finger at her. "Get the hell out of my sight!"

The woman turned and walked away, her heart filled with bitter resentment.

"To treat your own wife like that… you've certainly opened my eyes," Yang Hu said, shaking his head in disbelief. Perhaps this was a grim reflection of what happened in many families.

"None of your damn business!" Qian Kun pointed at Yang Hu, his gaze as cold as ice. "This whole mess is because of you two pieces of trash. If I don't have you chopped up and fed to the dogs by the end of the day, then my name isn't Qian!"

SMACK.

Yang Hu slapped him hard across the face. Qian Kun staggered back a few steps, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

"You dare hit me?" he asked in disbelief, clutching his swelling cheek.

SMACK.

Another slap landed squarely on his other cheek. Qian Kun was completely stunned.

Chen Yang, looking bored by the whole affair, patted his shoulder. "You know, a man ought to have a conscience."

Putting aside what Qian Kun had done to Zhou Yufei, his attitude toward his own wife was enough to show what a rotten person he was.

WHOOSH!

A group of burly, menacing-looking men stormed into the restaurant.

The sight of his reinforcements instantly restored Qian Kun's confidence. He puffed out his chest and said arrogantly, "You're going to lecture me? Who the hell do you think you are? You dare hit me? Just you wait, I'm going to…"

BOOM!

Chen Yang raised his right hand, palm facing down, and gently pressed downward.

Without exception, every single one of the thugs charging up the stairs immediately dropped to their knees, their faces pressed to the ground.

The crowd of onlookers, who had been waiting for a good show, were all dumbfounded.

Were they seeing a ghost?

Just a second ago, Qian Kun had been triumphant, a cruel sneer on his face. Now, that expression vanished completely, replaced by pure shock as he stared, wide-eyed, at Chen Yang.

This… Qian Kun's mind reeled. Who… who the hell is this person?

Chen Yang lit a cigarette. As he started walking downstairs, he gave Yang Hu an order. "Throw him in the Lingjin River to feed the fish."

Qian Kun was left speechless.

Everyone was stunned into silence.
