Xu Huan's piercing scream shattered the air. The guests gasped, a chill running down their spines despite their anger.
"I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear that. Would you care to say it again?" Chen Yang asked, twisting Xu Huan's arm further back. A wicked smile played on his lips.
"Let... let me go..." Xu Huan's body bent backward at an impossible angle, his face a mask of agony as he shrieked.
"I'll ask you one more time. Do you want to repeat yourself?"
"You..."
BANG!
Yang Hu lashed out with a kick, launching Xu Huan into the air. His body doubled over like a great shrimp as he vomited mouthful after mouthful of blood, as if it were an endless supply. He flew seven or eight meters before crashing heavily to the floor, sliding across the polished surface and plowing through several tables before finally grinding to a halt.
"If you're going to act like a dog, then I'll beat you like one!" Yang Hu declared, dusting off his hands with a predatory grin.
The crowd was left speechless.
So vicious! Who in the world are these people?
More importantly, this was Young Master Yang Li's birthday party. To cause such a scene at his birthday celebration… this had to be a first. Seeing this, many people revealed expressions of undisguised schadenfreude. No matter who these two were, their fate tonight was sealed.
Chen Yang started walking toward Yang Li, with Yang Hu following half a step behind him.
"Young... Young Master Yang..." Xu Huan struggled for a long moment but couldn't get to his feet. After shooting a venomous glare at Yang Hu, he looked up at Yang Li and cried, "Young Master Yang, this is your birthday party! He may be hitting me, but he's slapping your face too!"
"You must kill them! You have to!"
"Do I need you to teach me how to handle my affairs?" Yang Li's face had turned as dark as a thundercloud. He glanced down at Xu Huan before fixing his stare on Chen Yang. "Kid, do you have any idea who I am? Causing trouble on my turf... you've got a death wish!"
"You're Yang Li?" Chen Yang asked.
"Heh heh!" Yang Li laughed, his fury reaching its peak. "So you know who I am, and you still dare to act so presumptuously? I have to say, in my entire life, you are the most audacious person I have ever met!"
To deliberately provoke the Golden Summit's Yang Family? Heh... In over twenty years of life, this is a first.
"I'm here to see your grandfather. Can you show me the way?" Chen Yang's expression remained neutral. A scene like this wasn't enough to capture his interest in the slightest.
Yang Li frowned, suppressing the fire in his chest for a moment. It wouldn't do to accidentally offend a powerful ally.
"Why are you looking for my grandfather?" Yang Li asked, his voice low.
"To kill him."
Two simple words.
Yet they landed like a depth charge, detonating in the silent room. On the surface, nothing moved, but in the hearts of every guest, a monstrous wave had just crested.
Kill Yang Dingtian? Is this guy insane? Does he even know who Yang Dingtian is? Does he understand the words coming out of his own mouth?
The Golden Summit Yang Family ruled over the entirety of Triangle City. Even outside this region, they were a dominant, top-tier power. Did he think their eighty thousand personal guards were just for show?
Throughout the entire Holy Sea, anyone who met Yang Dingtian—Yang Li's grandfather—had to bow their head and respectfully address him as Lord Yang.
But these two hooligans? Not only did they crash Young Master Yang's party, but they also had the nerve to baldly state they were here to kill Yang Dingtian? They were just reckless youths, still wet behind the ears.
"How dare you!"
"You insolent fool! Is Lord Yang's name something you can tarnish?"
"Get on your knees and apologize this instant!"
After a moment of stunned silence, the bolder guests began to shout their rebukes.
Chen Yang paid them no mind, walking directly toward Yang Li. "Let's go. Lead the way."
"Lead my ass!"
Yang Li was not known for his good temper. He was, after all, the most notorious spoiled heir in the entire Holy Sea. Hearing this man brazenly declare his intent to murder his grandfather, the rage he had just managed to contain erupted instantly. With one hand on his hip and the other pointing at Chen Yang, he sneered, "A couple of little maggots running your mouths. Do you really think you're somebody special?"
"What if I told you I could crush you with a single finger? Would you believe me?"
"Kill my grandfather? You're hilarious!"
Nearby, a middle-aged man in a gray robe reluctantly set down his wine glass and slowly walked over from his quiet corner.
"To dare disturb my birthday party..." Yang Li continued, his eyes moving back and forth between Yang Hu and Chen Yang, as if deciding who to start with. "Such a memorable day deserves an equally memorable lesson."
"Young Master, how would you like to play?" As Yang Li's personal bodyguard, the middle-aged man knew his duty well and played his role to perfection. It was like supervising a rebellious teenager; his job was to let him do whatever he wanted. He didn't spare Yang Hu or Chen Yang a single glance.
Why bother looking at two dead men?
The middle-aged man gave a gentlemanly nod before finally turning his gaze to Chen Yang and striding forward.
"So, I take it you're not planning on leading the way?" Chen Yang asked, tilting his head at Yang Li.
The middle-aged man chuckled dismissively. "Kid, have you still not figured out the situation?"
Chen Yang casually waved his right hand.
The bodyguard, who had been about to make his move, felt his expression shift drastically, but before he could react—
BOOM!
His chest was struck as if by a ten-thousand-pound hammer. His feet left the floor and he shot backward in the blink of an eye, slamming into the far wall with enough force to become embedded in it.
Yang Li was frozen in shock.
The entire, vast banquet hall fell deathly silent.
Chen Yang didn't even bother to look at the man he had sent flying. The casual wave of his hand had been like shooing away an annoying fly.
Seeing Chen Yang striding toward him, where was all of Yang Li's earlier arrogance now? The most notorious spoiled heir in the Holy Sea stumbled backward, fumbling for his phone with trembling hands to dial his grandfather's number.
Chen Yang didn't stop him, his steps unhurried as he advanced.
"Grand-Grandfather! Someone's causing trouble!" Yang Li shrieked into the phone.
"Who?" Yang Dingtian's reply was clipped and direct.
Chen Yang held out his hand, beckoning for the phone.
Yang Li hesitated for a second before finally handing it over.
"We spoke on the phone before. You remember me, don't you?" Chen Yang said, grabbing Yang Li by the collar with his other hand. "Your grandson is going to lead me to you. You should prepare yourself for our arrival."
Click.
Chen Yang hung up, tossed the phone aside, and began dragging Yang Li out of the hall.
The remaining guests could only stare, dumbfounded.
