Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 129: Inheritance (1)

The moment Grey stepped into the spatial distortion, the world tilted. His body turned weightless as if someone had plucked him out of reality itself. A soft ripple brushed across his skin, followed by a blinding ray of light that wrapped around him from head to toe.

His vision blurred for an instant, and when it cleared he was no longer in the outside world.

He stood on a long bridge made of faintly glowing stone. Each of these stones emitted a warm, gentle radiance, as if the bridge itself was breathing. Wisps of pink light rose from all around the place like drifting fireflies, illuminating the area around him.

"So this is the inheritance ground?" Grey looked around with an interested look on his face.

He could tell that these lights were automatically lit up after he entered the inheritance ground.

Soon, more and more wisps of light rose from everywhere and finally the place was completely lit up.

Blank space stretched endlessly on all sides. There was no sky, no ground, only this floating structure he was on.

Ahead of him, the bridge extended toward a vast lotus-shaped platform. The bridge was connected directly to the center of the lotus-shaped platform. The lotus-shaped platform had a total of three long petals and these petals had a special circular glowing intricate pattern running across the surface; Grey could tell from one glance that it was a formation, likely a spatial formation at that.

Beyond the platform, Grey could see floating old structures above the lotus platform, but for some reason, these structures while visible felt like they existed far away. Their silhouettes were blinking in and out of existence, and it became more obvious when Grey stared at them without blinking.

Grey exhaled; for some reason, he felt some sort of pressure from this place, and being connected to the information layer, he could easily tell that he had switched dimensions. He believed this dimension was a sub-dimension connected to the secret realm.

It was honestly unimaginable for him, a spatial dimension inside one.

Just how much enlightenment must one have over the spatial law to create a space inside a space? It was honestly something very complex and hard to achieve.

Nobody knew anything about this inheritance ground aside from the fact that you needed to clear the mind illusion mountain and the physical test mountain to get in.

And so far, no one, absolutely no one, had managed to reach this far.

It was pretty evident, as the fact that the gate of this ground remained closed till today was the definite proof that no one had managed to clear it until now and reach this place.

This realm had stood for several hundred or even thousands of years, yet he alone was the one who managed to reach here, and he did so within a matter of three or four hours.

He still had plenty of time to explore as the realm only closed in 20 or so hours.

Grey then, without missing a beat, flew off the bridge. Then he immediately activated his True Origin Insight.

Buzz.

The world around him turned black and white and instantly pink energy permeated the entire surrounding.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing the flow of 'Realmheart Energy,' you have gained insight into the Realm Heart of a realm.]

The pink Realmheart Energy was several times deeper here; from the looks of it, this place was where this energy was coming from.

Grey glanced down and the energy there was even more apparent, to the point the pink colored radiance completely blinded him.

That should be where the energy is coming.

"Just what exactly is it?" Grey frowned.

The Realmheart Energy shared a connection to True Origin Energy and the abyssal energy he was familiar with. Just how did such powerful energy form in this world?

And inside a secret realm at that?

Could this secret realm have some sort of secrets?

There were plenty of such secret realms, but what could possibly make this realm different?

"This is probably the only secret realm in the Southern Region that only opens up for one day and experts can't find the trace of after it vanishes."

It was obviously very clear how different this secret realm was.

But from the looks of it, he seemed to have reached the core of this realm. The inheritance ground was built over the secret realm's core.

He would be able to receive his answers after exploring the ground.

Without further ado, Grey flew to the lotus-like platform and immediately went for the petal that was closest to him; he would explore the place one by one.

Descending down, the pattern in the petal platform flickered and immediately Grey was teleported out.

Light flickered and in the next moment, Grey was standing in a completely different place.

But the instant he saw this place, he was slightly stunned.

A ray of light shone from above, illuminating the entire place; the hard smell of wild herbs and plants drilled into Grey's reinforced nostrils.

Looking above, there was a sun, a sky with clouds, and the smell of life.

He was now standing in a small patch of land floating like a sky island; there was a mountain in the distance and fresh water streamed down from there to the field below. The field was distributed into six small squared lands, with each having glowing, shining, powerful herbs.

Just standing here caused Grey's pores to open up and absorb the medicinal energy in the air.

He observed the mountain more closely and there he saw a small platform on top of it.

There was a stone tablet there.

"Is that where the information related to this place is?" Grey nodded.

Grey took flight and immediately shot off toward the mountain in the distance.

Landing lightly, Grey looked around the mountain top; aside from the platform there wasn't much around here.

But before coming here, he did see an entrance below the mountain. It should lead to what is below this place.

Grey then turned to the platform; aside from the stone slab, there was surprisingly something else there.

It was a giant metal sphere covered in clean, elegant carvings. The surface had smooth panels broken by flowing patterns, almost like old runes or decorative lines etched into the metal, and the material shone with a soft silver-blue glow, giving it a calm, celestial feel.

Several curved, crown-like structures rose from the top and sides, shaped a bit like fins or horns. They blended naturally into the sphere, adding a majestic touch without making it look too aggressive.

There was no doubt about it, it was an alchemy furnace.

And from the look of it, it was not a simple one.

Grey also sensed powerful vital essence from inside it.
