Levi studied the wyvern from their hiding spot, his eyes scanning for potential weak points.

Its scales looked incredibly thick. From where he was looking, Levi could see the scars in its armor, it had probably been attacked several times and armor had blocked countless attacks over time. But everyone has a weakness.

Even humans are the most vulnerable with exposed kidneys, scrotums, liver and others. Just one kick to te balls and it's over for some. Might not work for Sean Combs though.

As for beasts, their eyes, throat, joints where wings connected to the body and their soft underbelly were their vulnerable part.

Levi stared at the beast and observed fororethan 10 minutes before speaking.

"I'll need at least thirty seconds to prepare my strongest attack.Can you hold its attention that long?"

"We'll make it work," Marcus face changed slightly. Others would say it's impossible but Levi actually said he needed 30

Seconds? That's insane.

"But we just hide and when your attack is ready, you can just release it in the beast?" The girl asked ignorantly.

Marcus slapped the back of his blade in her head and spoke. "A Fiend beast is very sensitive to danger. Once Levi start charging up his technique, it would notice this and immediately choose to dodge, rendering the attack useless. We need to distract it so it won't focus its senses to send Levi."

"Ohhh! Now I get it." Lyra smiled as she understood it.

He inhaled and chose to trust Levi.

"Alright Levi, we will do as you said. Once you're in position, we'll engage. Be ready."

They spent the next ten minutes working out a few details and also retreat plans too. Then, when everyone was clear on their roles, they al started to move.

Levi carefully circled around the plateau's edge.

It took fifteen minutes to reach the far side of the plateau, but finally Levi was in position, roughly forty meters from the wyvern's nest, with a clear line of sight. He breathing was incredibly slow and his movement careful.

He didn't dare look at the wyvern directly at this distance and inky stared at its shadow to know its move.

He bent down behind a large boulder and focused himself. He had spent all night generating 20 golden drop of Astra energy. He should be able able to explode two at the same time as his meridians have been strengthened after been destroyed and regenerated.

He didn't want to use all his trump card but at this moment, if he doesn't do go all out and the beast survives, then they are all doomed.

Levi raised his hand and Astra energy particles collided violently against each other, generating a small green motes of light that danced in the air like fireflies.

It was a signal to say he was ready.

Across the plateau, he saw Marcus return the signal. Then the Silverpeak leader took a deep breath, raised his spear, and stepped out into the open.

"Golden Wyvern!" Marcus shouted, his voice amplified by Astra energy. "Come Out!"

The effect was immediate.

The wyvern's head snapped up, its molten gold eyes locking onto Marcus like predator looking at its prey. Its neck slithered through the air like a snake and then it opened its mouth.

"ROOOOOAAAAAR!"

The wyvern's roar shook the entire mountain. The entire air trembled as the massive frame of the beast suddenly blurred!

Then it moved.

"Whoosh!"

"Now!" Marcus commanded.

The four Silverpeak students split in four directions, forcing the wyvern to choose a target and with no hesitation, the beast chose Marcus!

"Shit!"

"Whoosh!"

A massive claw swept down, the air condensed an Astra energy gathered and forms a crimson set of talon above the original talon like an armor, a very sharp one.

Marcus immediately activated his movement technique as he barely dodged as the claw strike carved deep gouges in the stone where he'd been standing.

"Bang!!"

"Now!" Ren shouted.

The twins attacked in at the same time! Ren created a massive ice spear that was more than ten meters tall!

Without hesitation, he twisted his wait and threthe spear forward. It's speed was so incredibly it broke sound barrier!

"Whoosh!"

At the exact same moment, Kai superheated the air around the ice spear with his flames, creating a steam explosion that would serve as both distraction and damage.

"KA-BOOM!"

The combined attack struck the wyvern's side with explosive force!

But when the steam cleared, the creature was barely scratched. Its scales had absorbed most of the impact, with only faint scorch marks showing where the attack had landed.

"Shit!" Kai cursed. "Its defense is ridiculous!"

The wyvern's tail swept in a horizontal arc, moving with whip-like speed.

"Bang!"

Lyra saw it coming and dove forward, the tail passing centimeters above her back. The wind pressure alone was enough to tear her shirt and leave shallow cuts on her exposed skin.

Marcus thrust his spear forward, golden energy blazing along its length.

"Heavenly Spear Art: Piercing Star!"

"Pierce!"

The spear struck the wyvern's chest scales with a sound like a bell being rung. The impact created a visible shockwave, but again, the scales held. Not even a scratch.

From his hiding position, Levi watched with growing concern. The four of them were skilled, coordinated, and giving it everything they had. But the Golden Wyvern was simply too strong, too durable. Their attacks weren't even breaking through its natural armor.

This was worse than expected.

But there was no turning back now. Levi had to make his attack count.

He began his preparations.

First, he activated Divine Tiger Thunder Might.

"BOOM!"

His body expanded, growing from 1.8 meters to three meters tall. White fur erupted from his skin. Fangs extended from his jaw. His eyes became feral slits that glowed with predatory intelligence. Most distinctively, his pupils transformed into vertical slits as thick white fur covered his muscular frame like a mane.

His physical capabilities doubled instantly.

Then he detonated a golden Astra drop.

"BOOM!"

The liquid energy exploded within his dantian, flooding his meridians with overwhelming power! His aura, which had been at Level 6 Genetic Soldier, suddenly spiked to pseudo-Level 9 strength!

Pain shot through his body as his meridians strained under the load. Steam rose from his skin as his internal temperature increased. But he gritted his teeth and endured.

Finally, he raised his Severing Abyss saber and activated Star Annihilation Slash.

"Weng~"

Dark energy began to swirl around the blade, growing denser and darker with each passing second. The energy pulled inward, compressing tighter and tighter until it looked like the weapon was wrapped in solid shadow.

The air around the saber began to distort. The temperature dropped. Small rocks near Levi's feet started to crack from the pressure.

[Ding! Star Annihilation Slash, 9,200x multiplier activated!]

The multiplier was insane—higher than any he'd achieved before!

The dark energy compressed further, becoming so dense that it actually began to warp the space around it. Reality itself seemed to bend and twist, unable to handle the concentrated power.

Across the plateau, the battle raged.

"SLASH!"

The wyvern's wing swept sideways, creating a blade of compressed air that carved through solid stone. Marcus barely blocked with his spear, but the impact sent him flying backward twenty meters.

"Brother!" Lyra screamed.

She charged forward recklessly, both swords blazing with blue energy. Her blades struck the wyvern's leg in rapid succession, each hit releasing small explosions.

"Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!"

But the scales held firm. Not even a crack.

The wyvern's head descended, jaws opening wide to swallow Lyra whole!

"Ice Wall!" Ren roared.

"Whoosh!"

A barrier of pure solid ice materialized between Lyra and the wyvern's jaws. The creature bit down, its teeth shattering the ice like glass, but the split-second delay was enough for Lyra to escape.

"We can't keep this up!" Kai shouted, flames erupting from his hands as he launched another barrage. "It's too strong!"

Marcus forced himself to his feet, blood dripping from a gash on his forehead. "Just a few more seconds! Levi's almost ready!"

The wyvern seemed to sense something. Its molten gold eyes swept across the plateau, searching for the hidden threat it could feel gathering power.

Those eyes landed on Levi.

For one perfect moment, human and wyvern locked gazes across the battlefield.

Then the creature's eyes widened in recognition of mortal danger.

"ROOOOOAAAAAR!"

The wyvern abandoned its fight with the four students and launched itself directly at Levi!

"SHIT!" Marcus cursed. "It's going for him!"

"LEVI, MOVE!" Lyra screamed.

But Levi didn't move. Couldn't move. The Star Annihilation Slash was at critical mass—if he canceled it now, the backlash would cripple him. He had to release it, had to complete the attack.

The Golden Wyvern covered forty meters in two wing beats, its massive form blotting out the crimson sky!

Twenty meters.

Ten meters.

Five meters.

Its jaws opened wide, revealing a throat that glowed with gathering energy—it was preparing a breath attack at point-blank range!

Levi's eyes blazed with golden light as he swung his saber with every ounce of strength he possessed!

"Star Annihilation Slash!"

"KA-BOOOOOOOM!"

A crescent of pure annihilation erupted from the blade!

The attack was massive—over twenty meters wide—and it carved through the air with a sound like reality itself tearing! Dark energy radiated from the slash in waves, warping space around it as it flew!

At the exact same moment, the Golden Wyvern released its breath attack!

"ROOOOOAAAAAR!"

A beam of concentrated golden Astra energy erupted from its throat, easily five meters in diameter, moving at light speed!

The two attacks collided mid-air!

"KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

The explosion was apocalyptic!

A sphere of pure destructive energy expanded outward from the collision point, consuming everything within fifty meters! Stone vaporized! The air ignited! Space itself seemed to crack and splinter under the force!

"BOOM!"

The shockwave blasted outward in a perfect dome, flattening everything in its path! The four Silverpeak students were thrown like ragdolls, tumbling across the plateau! Chunks of the cliff face broke away and plummeted into the abyss below!

When the light faded and the dust began to settle, Levi was still standing—barely.

His transformed body was covered in burns and cuts. Blood dripped from his mouth. His saber had developed hundreds of hairline cracks from channeling such devastating power. His meridians screamed in agony from the golden drop's backlash.

But he was alive.

And the Golden Wyvern…
