Chapter194-The Hidden Big Fish

Upon witnessing the scene,

Lilith nodded in satisfaction and turned, handing a ring to the warden.

"Release everyone who responded positively. Use the resources here to help them regain their strength as quickly as possible."

The warden quickly took the ring, bowing respectfully.

"Understood, Your Highness. Leave it to me."

Lilith then turned to Lucio, smiling.

"Lord, I'll leave the rest in your hands for now."

Lucio nodded knowingly, without asking further questions.

With that, Lilith and Fiona left the Divine Prison.

"Miss, where are we going now?"

As they reached the outskirts of the prison, Fiona couldn't help but ask.

Lilith paused and turned back to glance at the massive, sacred building.

A mischievous smile crept across her lips.

"Of course… to fish out the big fish that's been hiding all this time."

Fiona looked puzzled,

but soon, she understood what Lilith meant.

The Emblem of Order, which had once shielded the entire Divine Prison, suddenly solidified.

A massive barrier of light, covered with countless mysterious runes, emerged from the emblem.

Then, the shield shook violently!

Boom—!

A deep, resounding sound echoed from the center of the Divine Prison, instantly reverberating throughout the capital of Zisen Sacred Empire.

"Hmm? What's going on?"

A voice in the void murmured with confusion.

In the next instant,

a figure was forced to materialize from the concealed void.

His clothes were slightly ragged, unkempt, but it did little to hide his sharp, handsome features.

Clearly, he had been trapped by the sudden manifestation of the spatial barrier, unable to quietly escape from the Divine Prison's boundaries.

"Well, hello there. Beautiful weather today, isn't it?"

Lilith hovered just outside the barrier, greeting the man inside.

The man frowned sharply, his eyes as sharp as an eagle's.

"It is indeed nice. I haven't seen such a beautiful sky in a long, long time, but…"

"Is this your doing?"

"It is."

Lilith admitted calmly.

"It's to prevent people like you, with powers beyond expectations, from slipping away unnoticed."

The man's expression immediately darkened.

"I suggest you release this barrier immediately."

"Otherwise, when I break it and come out, you'll regret ever coming into this world."

He chose the most direct form of threat.

Lilith, however, showed no signs of concern.

"Do you want to escape so badly?"

"For the aliens from the Unknown Land, don't you have any thoughts of protecting your homeland?"

The man remained expressionless.

"Since Zisen Empire's goal is to dominate all the starfields, that's your business, not mine."

Lilith's brows furrowed slightly.

"Their goal is to devour all known starfields, and then you won't have anywhere to hide either."

"Heh, so what?"

"Let's talk after your Zisen Empire has fallen."

The man's tone was filled with disdain, clearly showing no interest in the empire.

Seeing that he was impervious to reason, Lilith grew tired of the back-and-forth.

She delivered her ultimatum.

"Two choices:

First, fight against the aliens.

Second, die!"

The man burst out laughing as if he had heard the most ridiculous joke in the world.

"Hahaha… little girl, do you think I'm one of those weaklings in Divine Prison who can be easily manipulated?!"

Boom!

A terrifying quasi-Authority rank aura suddenly erupted from the man!

The entire Divine Prison shook violently, as if it could collapse at any moment.

Quasi-Authority rank!

So there was another powerhouse hidden in the Divine Prison, someone about to step into Authority rank!

Although Lilith and Fiona were protected by the Emblem of Order's shield and didn't directly feel the pressure,

Fiona was still shocked.

Quasi-Authority rank!

Such power was likely unmatched in the current Zisen Sacred Empire!

However, Lilith seemed entirely unfazed, not showing an ounce of surprise.

"You're powerful,"

her voice was chillingly calm,

"but are you stronger than my mother?"

"My mother?"

The man froze.

"Zisen Sacred Empire's Empress, Hathaway!"

Lilith's words cut through the air.

At the mention of the name, the man's laughter abruptly ceased.

He fell into silence.

The answer was clear.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been imprisoned in Divine Prison.

"The void devourers are no simple matter."

The mysterious man suddenly spoke, breaking the silence.

"You know of the void devourers?"

Lilith was surprised.

The man nodded, a glint of nostalgia flashing in his eyes.

"Before your mother appeared and took control of the Zisen Empire,

there were only a few forces in this starfield that could make me truly wary."

He understood what that unknown race represented.

"Do you think I can't deal with them?"

Lilith's starborn-like eyes stared directly at him.

"You?"

For the first time, the man truly regarded Lilith, his brows furrowing slightly.

At first, he had assumed this girl was merely relying on her status as the Empress's daughter.

But now, as he sensed her aura more carefully, he realized the depth of her fortune.

It was as though countless threads of fate were converging around her, glowing brilliantly.

Such a presence… Was she the Child of Destiny?

Such people are nearly impossible to bring harm to.

"You…"

The man reluctantly admitted.

"You're far from ordinary."

"But you haven't fully grown yet.

With your current strength, you won't be able to deal with the void devourers."

He spoke bluntly.

Hearing this, a slight, almost imperceptible twitch appeared at the corner of Lilith's lips.

She almost wanted to say—

I've got my father behind me.

A being truly above all known and unknown forces.

To be honest, if she called for her father now,

the void devourer threat would probably vanish in an instant.

But she didn't want to disturb him so easily.

His departure must have been for something important.

She didn't want to cause trouble for him over something so trivial.

Her goal was to become strong for the sake of solving their problems—not to always rely on him.

At that moment—

Boom—!!!

A sound like it could shatter the very soul echoed from the distant skies!

In that instant, both Lilith and the man turned sharply toward the same direction.

The entire capital of Zisen Empire trembled violently!

Woooo—!

The ear-piercing sound of an alarm blared.

A magic barrier, carved with the empire's seal and countless defensive runes, instantly rose, covering the entire capital like an inverted bowl.

"Your Highness!"

A guard in imperial armor appeared beside Lilith, speaking urgently.

"The damned enemies are here!"

Lilith's expression grew serious as she looked toward the horizon.

A vast, devouring darkness was rapidly spreading toward them,

like a tidal wave of death, bringing with it an overwhelming sense of oppression.

Is that… the void devourers?

Without hesitation, Lilith turned and began flying toward the nearest defensive node on the city wall.

"Wait!"

The man's voice called out behind her.

Lilith turned back.

"What is it?"

The man hesitated, then helplessly spread his hands.

"Well, at this point, count me in too."
