Werewolf Leveling: Building the Strongest Pack in the Apocalypse

Chapter 223: The Heir's Announcement

SPLASH!

SPLASH!

SPLASH!

"No! Stop, not touch, only Lee!"

In a bathhouse at Grey Waste, Sylvie fought frantically as Selthia held her down.

The two struggled, splashing up water in their wrestling.

"Just hold still, I just want to check something."

"Why are you trying to grope her anyway?" Isabella asked, watching them with a bored expression.

Beside her was Kumo, floating with her head laid back as she enjoyed the bath.

"I'm not groping! I just want to see something," Selthia shouted through gritted teeth as she tried to hold down the kicking and thrashing Sylvie.

"Only Lee can touch Sylvie's boobies!"

The two continued to wrestle, kicking up waves of water. Sylvie tried desperately to escape, but Selthia used her water magic to bind her arms and legs.

Finally, after a while of struggling, Selthia managed to restrain her.

With Sylvie's arms restrained, Selthia reached out and grabbed Sylvie's breasts, feeling the weight of them in her hand.

"Hmm… thought so. Your breasts have gotten bigger. No, it's more like they're swollen."

Sylvie's eyes glowed orange, and fangs burst from her gums. She felt violated and humiliated by Selthia touching her.

"Don't tell us you were into women all this time," Kumo said with her eyes closed as she drifted on the surface of the water.

"Don't get the wrong idea," Selthia snapped. "I'm doing this only for darling."

Saying that, she turned her attention back to Sylvie.

"When was the last time you had your period?"

"..."

That single question caused the room to go quiet.

Kumo's eyes shot open, and she rose like the undead. Isabella, who was watching the situation with a bit of scorn on her face, now had her mouth hanging open.

"Wait, you don't mean…"

Isabella couldn't finish the sentence as her mind drifted back to the time when she saw Sylvie vomiting. It was after they ate dinner.

At the time, she stupidly thought that it was because the food didn't agree with her. Just then she also realized that she hadn't seen Sylvie eat anything since then.

Kumo, on the other hand, was remembering all the fights Sylvie had since last week. She had been awfully irritable as of late.

Under the pressure of all their gazes, Sylvie averted her eyes and puffed out her cheeks. She didn't know what the big fuss was about and thought they were ganging up on her.

"Just wait until Sylvie tells Lee about all this," she grumbled.

FLICK!

Selthia flicked her on the head.

"You idiot, don't you realize what's happening? This means you're pregnant!"

Sylvie's eyes widened. Not only was she in disbelief, but she was too stunned to speak.

Seeing this, Selthia eased her hold on her, giving her space to process.

Having free use of her limbs, Sylvie rested her hands on her stomach.

"Sylvie have baby?"

Sylvie's widened eyes shone like the most brilliant jewels. Though her mixed feelings remained, Selthia still wanted to be supportive of her.

Against her will, she had begun seeing Sylvie as a little sister. She cupped Sylvie's soft cheeks tenderly.

"Yes, Sylvie. You're going to have a baby."

"Sylvie has to tell Lee!"

That was the first thought that crossed her mind.

Without hesitation, she tried to rush off, but immediately she was stopped by Selthia.

"Let me go, I have to tell Lee."

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"No! I have to tell Lee," Sylvie said adamantly as she pulled her wrist from Selthia.

"Just hear me out," Selthia pleaded, and for a moment, Sylvie stopped in her tracks just to listen for a while.

"It's your decision whether you want to tell him or not, but just listen to what I have to say." Selthia sighed, "With everything going on, I don't think it's a good idea for you to tell him that you're pregnant."

"Why not?"

"Because he'll be going up against some powerful foes. We need him in the right headspace, or else he might get hurt."

"Lee… hurt?"

Though she really wanted to tell him, she was beginning to understand what Selthia was trying to tell her.

"Sylvie doesn't like keeping secrets from Lee."

"Just this once. You can tell him when it's all over and everything is settled."

Sylvie looked around at the girls in the bathhouse with her. Each of them had varying emotions on their faces, but one emotion was common among all of them, and that was determination.

"Liam needs to focus on facing the powerful foes in this city, but until then, we'll protect you. I'll help in any way I can," this time it was Isabella who spoke up.

She approached Sylvie and took hold of her hand to show her sincerity.

"Same for me too," Kumo spoke up next. "Your child is also part of my darling. I'll protect both of you with my life if needs be."

"We all will," Selthia said with a kind smile, cupping Sylvie's face.

Sylvie felt her cheeks tighten, and before she knew it, tears began rushing down her face.

She never had siblings before, but if she had to guess, this was what it must've felt like.

They would fight and argue, and at times it felt as if they hated each other with a burning passion, but when it really mattered, they had each other's back.

Selthia couldn't help herself from tearing up too, and she pulled the crying Sylvie in to comfort her.

"How are you going to be a good mother if you're so easy to cry? Are you going to cry along with the baby?" She scolded as she rubbed her hands through Sylvie's silky hair.

"Sylvie will be a good mom."

Hearing that, an unexpected smile began to grow on each of their faces. Seeing the two girls who normally bickered the most embracing each other, Isabella and Kumo smiled warmly.

"I know you will."

After calming down Sylvie, the four girls huddled together with Sylvie being the center of the group.

The room was soon filled with light chatter and giggling as they discussed Sylvie's pregnancy.

They touched her stomach with interest, and Isabella even tried listening in to see if she could hear anything.

They could hardly contain their excitement, but little did they know that their joy would soon be obliterated by the surrounding threats to their home.

Vampires circled around their small community.

Each with the intention to kill. Their blood red eyes glowed through the darkness. Their fangs ready to tear through flesh and wreak havoc.

At the center of the group was a man ready to avenge his sons. A man ready to take an eye for an eye.
