Chapter 165: Hey what do you think is the most valuable thing on it?

This explanation was like a bolt from the blue!

Disconnected?!

Four top beings, trapped directly at the deepest pit, cut off from the outside world?!

What is their current situation?

Are they still suppressing the Molting Level?

Do they know about this newly appeared monster?

Everything is unknown!

The atmosphere of despair suddenly thickened to the extreme.

Even the last reliance became out of reach, and their survival was in jeopardy.

How are we to fight this battle?

"We will do our utmost to reestablish contact! We will provide you with an explanation! Please trust the Divine Management Bureau! Trust the Federation!" Zhao Qiming's voice had a hint of pleading, but it clearly couldn't quell the surging resentment and panic, "Now, I ask each team leader to organize their personnel and retreat in an orderly fashion to the rest area! Dismissed!"

With the order given, the crowd slowly dispersed amidst grief, anger, and confusion.

Crying, cursing, the groans of the wounded intertwined, making the camp feel like the apocalypse had arrived.

Fang Qingyu, along with Jiang Wei and Wei Banmeng, reunited with the eagerly arriving Qin Hui and others.

Seeing Fang Qingyu and the others safe and sound, Qin Hui visibly breathed a sigh of relief, but upon hearing the news about the monster, his face immediately turned pale.

"Qingzi!" Qin Hui caught sight of them and immediately pushed through the chaotic crowd to rush over, his face showing undisguised worry and fear, "Are you all alright?! That noise just now... scared the shit out of me! What happened down there? I heard a lot of people died!"

Qi Hao, Old Qiao, and Lv Chen also gathered around, their eyes quickly scanning Fang Qingyu and the others, confirming that although they appeared slightly out of breath and their robes were stained with some filth, they were not seriously injured. Only then did they slightly relax.

"We're fine." Fang Qingyu's voice remained low and steady, without much fluctuation, simply answering Qin Hui's first question.

His gaze swept over the fleeing crowd around them, the panicked faces, the blood-stained bodies on stretchers, the comrades hugging corpses and weeping in despair.

Qin Hui followed his gaze, and his facial muscles twitched slightly, lowering his voice: "Qingzi... they've ordered to seal off the entrance and halt operations, a lot of people have begun to retreat... should we stay?"

This question hit the team members' hearts like a stone.

Qi Hao, Old Qiao, and Lv Chen instinctively looked at Fang Qingyu with complex expressions.

The fear was real; no one wanted to face a monster capable of devouring a Peak of Profound in one gulp.

But just leaving like this?

It felt unsatisfactory and seemed... unlike Fang Qingyu's style.

Wei Banmeng stood half a step behind Fang Qingyu, her cool gaze like a frozen lake, reflecting the chaotic shadows of the camp.

She didn't look at Qin Hui, her eyes were on Fang Qingyu's slightly tense profile, as if waiting for his decision.

Fang Qingyu didn't respond immediately.

Instead, he stayed silent, taking step after step towards their simple shack-like dormitory.

All around were busy stretchers, flashing lights, despairing cries, and numb faces.

The heavy air was almost suffocating.

In this atmosphere of extreme oppression, Fang Qingyu's eyes unintentionally passed over Jiang Wei walking quietly beside him.

The little girl's clear big eyes looked at the hellish scene around her, her small face expressionless, as she instinctively peeled open another lollipop and popped it into her mouth.

A thought completely incongruous with the surrounding despair suddenly jumped into Fang Qingyu's mind without any warning.

Fang Qingyu abruptly stopped walking, slightly tilting his head, looking at Jiang Wei with an odd seriousness in his eyes, his voice low yet distinctly cutting through the surrounding noise:

"Hey, Xiaojiang."

"Hmm?" Jiang Wei, sucking on the lollipop, lifted her small face.

Fang Qingyu's mouth curled into a rare mischievous grin as he stared at her:

"Do you know, what's the most valuable thing on it?"

Qin Hui, Qi Hao, and the others were somewhat at a loss for the meaning.

Only the always silent and cold Wei Banmeng, seemingly isolated from the world, paused ever so slightly, her cool eyes for the first time showing obvious astonishment and a hint of... looking at a madman, directed at Fang Qingyu.

Valu...valuable?!
