Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 89: On the Shelves

Okay, let's save the nonsense for later and talk about the update everyone cares about first.

After it's released, 8000 words daily for the first month, then we'll see, but at least 6000 guaranteed.

Writing 10,000 words a day is too much pressure.

Even though my quality is just average, I still need to ensure it, otherwise, it wouldn't be fair to everyone's subscription.

From now on, it'll be chapters of two to three thousand words each.

Four updates per day in the first month, at noon 12, 3 PM, 5 PM, and 7 PM.

In the second month, if it's 6000 a day, it would be 3 PM, 5 PM, and 7 PM.

...

Alright, now for the nonsense.

This book, I admit, wasn't written with pure intentions, kind of like the show's team.

I was aiming to ride the coattails of Bell's Island experiment.

But after chatting with the editor, I realized it wouldn't be easy to latch onto it, and you all probably know why.

So I did a major rewrite at the beginning and cut out a lot of violent scenes (very violent ones).

The plot on the girls' island was almost entirely deleted.

Because of this, I couldn't grasp the storyline well in the first volume, leading to some brainless plots later.

The main character was supposed to be discovered after going to the girls' island, but that was also cut (I cut it myself, it was very violent).

Someone asked why not revise it.

It's not about not wanting to, I just don't have the energy.

This book is different from the last one; the amount of research needed is ridiculous!

All kinds of creatures and their characteristics have to be looked up one by one.

Take the grouper for instance.

In the last book, I could just write that the main character dives into the sea and stabs one.

But for this book, I have to look up which groupers live in tropical coral reefs, their weight, temperament, etc...

Luckily, there's AI now, which can reduce some of the workload.

But AI isn't accurate, oftentimes I have to check Baidu Baike.

To find the most accurate first-hand information from the references and papers cited in the encyclopedia.

It's very troublesome.

Most of my energy is spent on this.

And then there's the system.

The system unlocks new features as levels increase, and I seem to have only mentioned it once at the beginning, so many friends didn't notice.

That's my fault; I didn't write it clearly enough, making many feel that the system is useless.

Actually, the system is the cheat code, much more useful than the entries.

Some friends also ask when the transformation entry will appear.

One more level increase and it'll be there.

Regarding the taming issue.

The main character's level isn't high now; direct taming feels inappropriate.

You're a fisherman, how could you suddenly become a Beast Tamer?

So early on, there aren't many taming scenes.

They will gradually increase as the level goes up later.

I define this book as a slow-paced one, planning to write it long, but it's not quite suitable for the current market. I'll speed up the pace later without changing the outline.

That's it, hope everyone can give it a first subscription.

Official support is best if possible.

If money has to be spent wisely, it's okay not to support— we're all buddies.

Lastly, thanks to the book's editor, Liuxing, a real friend to newcomers. Been a great help to me. Newcomers looking to submit should pick Group Four's Liuxing.

Thanks to Qidian. Next month I'll aim for fuller attendance and earn a bit of money for some good meals.

Thanks to all the readers who have read this far. Wishing you a happy life, everything goes smoothly, and good food every day.

That's it, update coming soon.
