I Will Teach You How to Hunt Gods

Chapter 7: Movement and Stillness

The skirmish in the forest lasted only three minutes before it was over.

The bodies of the thugs were strewn across the land, and the leader, the Big Sister Nite, was literally sliced in half; only half of her body remained, writhing painfully on the ground.

Her face was filled with terror and disbelief.

Thirty-six burly thugs in all! Among them were bio-modified individuals and prosthetic body owners.

Logically speaking, this "War Gang" was enough to match a regular Apprentice Death God!

Yet in front of Yun You, this large group of them couldn't even muster extra resistance, merely falling to Yun You's one-sided slaughter.

Though the little girl was carrying a fish and a huge machete, she danced like a nimble bird, moving so fast that before they could see her actions, their heads and bodies were already separated.

Nite couldn't help but think of another person—the true ruler of the Primitive Forest.

The strength that person demonstrated was similar to Yun You's present ability... It was a terrifying power that made one not even dare to harbor thoughts of resistance, capable of ignoring vast differences in numbers, tearing apart all enemies with lightning speed.

Even a usual Apprentice Death God wouldn't withstand more than a few moves in front of such a person.

Though Nite and her gang committed every evil deed imaginable, they knew they were, at best, just "beasts." Yun You and that person were the true "monsters."

"Gurgling..."

Nite's throat continuously gurgled with blood, the bisection having robbed her of her lower half and fighting ability, but the instinct to survive drove her to keep crawling outward.

But it was all in vain.

Yun You wiped her face with her sleeve, clearing the sticky blood and mud off her mask, snapping out of her frenzy and returning to her friendly and kind demeanor.

She glanced at the fleeing Nite and casually tossed the fat fish in her hand, landing it squarely on Nite's body.

"Boom—!"

The moment the fish hit the ground, it carried such immense force that it shattered Nite's spine.

"Guwaa!"

The thug leader only felt darkness swoop over her vision, a mouthful of old blood surged forth; she wanted to struggle but found she couldn't budge the fish an inch!

Only then did she realize this inconspicuous... somewhat comical fat fish weighed nearly 10 tons, heavier than a small car!

One should understand that the arm strength of a Tier One Apprentice Death God, on average, was around 20 tons per arm, with the upper levels not exceeding 30 tons.

Carrying a 10-ton fish was like an ordinary person moving around with two bags of rice.

With such heavy strain, a normal person's ability to move would likely be compromised, but Yun You flew up and down, cleanly slaughtering the thugs.

The more Nite thought about it, the more terror-stricken she became, awash with regret.

If they had known Yun You's strength reached such heights, they wouldn't have coveted those benefits, realizing now such decisions were no different than seeking death!

"Your Excellency! Your Excellency!"

Seeing Yun You walk closer step by step, Nite spoke in a panic, coughing blood as she pleaded, "It's a misunderstanding! All a misunderstanding!"

"Spare me... spare me! I'm willing to give all of the Nite War Gang's wealth to you, just please spare my life..."

Nite was quite perceptive, not daring to threaten more, or haggle; she immediately begged with full sincerity.

Unfortunately, Yun You had little interest in money, especially the property of someone in dire straits.

"Since you've decided to make a move against me, you should've also been prepared to die, right?"

Yun You tilted her head, gently clasping Nite's neck with her small hand, then directly activated the [Eating].

The War Gang leader didn't even have time to struggle before her pupils contracted, her flesh and blood turning into pure energy, which the little girl absorbed, savoring it delightfully.

Yun You would never let someone intent on her life go, no matter where she was.

Moreover, ever since Nite's gang caught wind of the words "quasi-military prosthetic body," the little girl had no intention of leaving any of them alive.

The allure of that thing was too great, and if word spread, it might land her in trouble.

In the dazed gaze of the silver-haired young man, she cleared away the thugs' corpses one by one, even burning their clothes to ash.

Meanwhile...

The news of the Nite War Gang's members' hearts ceasing also spread quickly throughout the Floating Island via life-sign monitoring instruments.

...

Beach Coast Detention Area.

Several large war gangs crowded the coastline, wielding ragged guns and cannons, firing at each other with gleeful laughs on the beach; even when the bullets penetrated their flesh, not a single one showed a hint of fear.

The pain only made the war gang members more excited, their expressions turning manic, clearly high.

They welcomed death and blood with hysterical laughter, watching as they and their enemies were ripped to shreds, finding immense satisfaction.

On the high ground on the opposite side of the coast, a middle-aged man, so corpulent that it would take over twenty people to hug him, lounged on a soft beast-skin sofa; embracing several veiled beauties, he watched the slaughter below with relish.

Sometimes amused, he would throw weapons onto the beach, like guns or rocket launchers, or casually toss a beauty into the crowd as a "reward."

But if the war gang members failed to entertain him, he'd hurl a handful of grenades into the crowd, adding fuel to the not-so-fierce slaughter.

The thugs feared him but also worshipped him with fervor.

"Big Fatty! Big Fatty!"

As he was thoroughly entertained, about to throw another beauty into the mix, a man dressed in what seemed like "counselor" attire trotted over and whispered in his ear, "Big Fatty, something happened in the forest area."

"Just now, the 'Nite War Gang' in the forest was utterly destroyed; judging by the life spectrum readings, it seems only one person did it."

Hearing this, the man referred to as "Big Fatty" froze momentarily, then nonchalantly shook his head.

"What's so alarming about that? It was just a mid-size war gang—if they're dead, they're dead, so what?"

With that, he snatched up the beauty beside him, ignoring her desperate pleas, and threw her into the center of the beach battlefield.

Watching as the poor girl quickly got shot, torn apart in the blood by the wolf-like thugs, he excitedly slapped the sofa seat, cheering aloud.

Human life was the least valued commodity on the Floating Island.

"It's more than just that."

The counselor shook his head repeatedly, explaining, "According to our estimation, the battle didn't last more than 5 minutes."

"Though 36 people isn't much, completely wiping them out so easily wasn't a simple feat."

"Even across the entire Floating Island, including you, only four would be capable of such a feat..."

"The person responsible for the killing shouldn't be underestimated."
