Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 174: One-Hit Kill

Captain Jiang Junsu of the Star Jump stands at the forefront of the deck, overlooking the passengers seated on the deck.

Holding a weapon, Jiang Junsu has shed his amiable uncle-next-door appearance. His eyes, usually squinted slightly with a smile, are now fully open, filled with a fierce look, like a beast selecting its prey.

Where his gaze sweeps across, the passengers lower their heads, not daring to make eye contact with him. Those who are seen, especially high school students, might shiver in fright.

Jiang Junsu speaks in a cold and hard tone:

"The situation the Star Jump encounters at this moment, everyone should have perceived it, right? We haven't escaped the cage of the sea; rather, we've gone from a small cage to a larger one."

"We must take measures to rescue ourselves in time; otherwise, we will disappear in this sea just like the two ghost ships we've seen."

The passengers' faces showed panic. Although they had already sensed it, they still held a sliver of hope, wondering if they might escape.

Now, hearing it from the captain's own mouth that they were trapped in this sea area has completely shattered their hanging hope.

In times of crisis, the weak tend to follow the strong, hoping to be led out of the predicament by the powerful.

Facing danger, rather than being dominated and oppressed by the strong, the weak fear more that no one will stand up and take responsibility.

The gentleman cannot solve the current predicament; to overcome the obstacles, they need a more aggressive, sufficiently strong leader.

Thinking of this, people's eyes begin to change; their gaze toward Jiang Junsu transforms from fear to endearment.

Jiang Junsu detects the change among the people, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. Up to here, eighty percent of the task is already done.

He says coldly: "As the captain of the Star Jump, and as the person responsible for this route, I have the responsibility and obligation to lead everyone safely back to land. For everyone's safety, individual interests and freedom must make concessions!"

"From now on, the Star Jump is in a state of regulation; I don't care if you are a student or an elder, a man or a woman, what religion you believe in, or how honorable your identity is outside, you must accept the management of me and First Mate Li Yuanzhi, and follow our instructions."

Speaking here, Jiang Junsu lifts his head, looking at the New Cosmos Sect followers on the fourth deck and the VIPs in the fifth-floor lounge.

He loudly says, "I will only repeat once, no matter how much you do not understand or wish to follow our instructions, I do not want to hear any doubts. From this moment on, only one voice is allowed on the ship!"

"That's the voice of me, Jiang Junsu!"

After saying this, he looks at the passengers in front of him; several undercover agents planted in the crowd start clapping, prompting passengers to unconsciously begin clapping along. Even those reluctant, surrounded by clapping people, have no choice but to join in with stiff applause.

Park Changmin throws a glance at the followers, and those on the fourth deck also start clapping.

The VIPs on the fifth floor, though unwilling to acknowledge Jiang Junsu's words, find themselves in an unknown sea area with over ninety percent of the people on the ship taking one side; confronting authority when they have both manpower and weapons is not a wise choice.

Thus, the VIPs on the fifth floor also start clapping.

Clapping signifies agreement with Jiang Junsu's leadership or rather, his position as a dictator.

Clang clang clang.

Amidst the rising applause, the slapping of passengers' palms growing almost red, the sound of metal being struck by an iron rod comes from above the crowd.

The crowd looks up to see Wu Chang dressed in a bathrobe, cigar in mouth, standing on the seventh-floor suite balcony, wielding a baseball bat while hitting the railing.

Seeing the crowd's attention drawn, he sets down the baseball bat, waving to Jiang Junsu like commanding a subordinate, saying:

"Come up here once, and Bishop Park, you come too."

Jiang Junsu, having just declared there was only his voice on this ship before all the passengers, is immediately summoned so casually by Wu Chang, as if slapped in the face.

His short-temperedness flares instantly; if he doesn't deal with Wu Chang, how could he lead the crowd in the future?

But just as he is about to speak, First Mate Li Yuanzhi grabs his arm, gently shaking his head.

Li Zaisi is not an ordinary second-generation wealthy heir; he is a top chaebol in Gao Mu Country, entangled with extensive interests. Especially behind him, the Star Heaven Group is the biggest supporter of the New Cosmos Sect.

Unless absolutely necessary, or Park Changmin doesn't speak, he cannot touch him.

Jiang Junsu clenches his fists tightly, his face turning steely as he snorts, then proceeds to walk upstairs, followed closely by Li Yuanzhi.

Jiang Junsu has prepared in mind anyway; even if under the protection of Park Changmin, he intends to curb Li Zaisi's arrogance. Star Jump is his ship; it's essential for this chaebol to know who holds the cards.

The two arrive at the seventh-floor balcony, sitting at the round table where coffee is being served; the Negotiation Master and the Great White Shark at this moment are wearing maid outfits, acting as waiters serving coffee.

Life is hard; players showcase their skills.

Although unwilling, they worry about their boss Wu Chang being in danger, thus reluctantly taking on this task.

"Your coffee, please enjoy."

Jiang Junsu raises his head and takes a glance at the Negotiation Master. Facing a maid who stands over a head taller, with a presence more imposing than his, a portion of his gathered momentum dissipates instantly.
