Traveler of the River of Time and Space

Chapter 9: Hungry Ghost Dao (Part 2)

——"Soul Destruction Curse!"

A series of evil ghost soul bodies disintegrated into ashes under the power of the magic, and beside Abe no Seimei, the phantom of a True Dragon gradually emerged. It was a White Dragon over ten meters long, currently coiling above his body, its cold dragon eyes glaring at the Red Prajna in front of him.

Didn't expect to see an Eastern Dragon today.

It seems this Red Prajna cannot escape, Su Ziyu glanced around and found that the Nine Lives Cat had slipped away at some unknown time, so there was even less need to rush to make a move.

The Nine Lives Cat must have run off after seeing Abe no Seimei; this gamble is probably over.

"Help... help!..."

Just as Su Ziyu was ready to continue watching the scene, he suddenly heard a faint cry for help.

Is there still a living person nearby?

The entire Vermilion Bird Dao had been raided by ghosts, and Su Ziyu didn't expect that there were still any living people around since the Reincarnation Dao started rolling over from here.

In the south.

Su Ziyu thought for a moment and quickly headed over there. No matter what, he was also a Ghost Emissary, so he might as well save someone if he could, and besides, the voice sounded a bit like a child.

Soon.

In front of Su Ziyu was a burning house. In a distant corner was a trembling, frightened girl who looked quite young, perhaps fifteen or sixteen years old. Several blurry ghost shadows were circling around her, while clusters of eerie green Tomb Fire floated nearby. Yet, for some unknown reason, they did not harm the girl, only encircled her as if they wanted to pounce but dared not.

When Su Ziyu looked at the girl, he saw a faint white aura about her, not knowing what it was, just that it seemed to protect her from ghostly harm.

Clang.

Su Ziyu drew the Meteor hanging from his waist, and in a flash, killed all the nearby ghosts.

"It's alright now."

"I've killed them." Su Ziyu approached her and said, "Come with me. I'll get you out of here."

This girl seemed somewhat unusual, and he had no idea who she was.

"Tha... thank you!..." A terrified female voice echoed.

When the girl raised her head, Su Ziyu froze, staring at her clear and beautiful face, hesitating, "Aoandon?"

"Huh?" The girl was startled by his words.

This girl looked at least seventy to eighty percent similar to Aoandon, just her face was much younger, wearing a light green kimono, with what seemed like a wound on her knee, oozing blood.

"Ah!... I... I don't think I can walk..." The girl groaned in pain, having just stood up, only to fall back down again.

Why does she look so much like Aoandon?

Su Ziyu glanced at the rapidly spreading fire around them, approached, and said, "Let me carry you out first."

"Tha... thank you!..." The girl said shyly.

Su Ziyu carried her on his back and walked toward the outside of Vermilion Bird Dao, intentionally avoiding the Yin Yang Masters, heading towards the Nijo street.

"What's your name?" Su Ziyu, with many doubts in his mind, couldn't help but ask.

The girl on his back hesitated slightly, then whispered, "Fujiwara Kaoru. Thank you for saving me!"

Fujiwara is a noble surname.

This name sounded somewhat familiar, something he had heard about while watching anime in his idle time, but he couldn't quite remember it all.

"Benefactor, what's your name?" The girl still looked quite fearful, although it was much better than at the beginning.

"Su Ziyu." A wall painting demon jumped out ahead, but Su Ziyu was too lazy to waste effort, directly infused lightning into the Meteor, slashing it in two with one strike.

I'll ask Aoandon when I get back.

Aoandon seemed to also have been a noble when alive; I'm not sure if she has any blood relation with the girl on my back.

Soon.

Su Ziyu took her out of the barrier set by Abe no Seimei, considered for a moment, took out a potion obtained from the Demon Hunter World, and handed it to her, saying, "Apply it to your wound. It should be safe around here now. Don't wander off."

Rumble!

In the distance came a deep thunderbolt, and Su Ziyu could faintly hear Abe no Seimei's scream, not knowing what incident had occurred.

At this moment, he couldn't care for the girl in front of him; after instructing her not to wander off, Su Ziyu quickly rushed toward the direction of the battle.

What's going on?

Before he got close, Su Ziyu widened his eyes. To his surprise, there were two Abe no Seimeis before him. One was the Abe no Seimei he initially saw, wearing a white onmyoji robe, while the other stood before the Red Prajna, clad in a pure black onmyoji robe, holding a constantly rotating Yin Yang Fish.

How are there two Abe no Seimeis?

Is that demon's transformation?

Su Ziyu had forgotten to put on his invisibility cloak when he returned. As soon as he showed up, the two Abe no Seimeis noticed him simultaneously.

Both of these Abe no Seimeis emitted demon energy, and their powers seemed very formidable.

However, there were differences; the Abe no Seimei in the white onmyoji robe had a phantom of a White Dragon beside him, while the black-robed one held an unusual Yin Yang Fish.

"Who?"

"A minion of the Netherworld?" The black-robed Abe no Seimei scoffed disdainfully, glancing at Su Ziyu, and said, "Even Yama is missing! You little minions dare to interfere?"

The words contained a large amount of information.

Su Ziyu was slightly stunned upon hearing them; he had just seen Yama yesterday, though Yama hadn't really shown himself.

"Get lost!"

"Even a Soul Guide dares to be insolent!"

Su Ziyu couldn't help but take a few steps forward, about to ask for clarification, but did not expect this to anger the black-clad Abe no Seimei, who waved his hand, summoning a bluish-green ghost fire that directly burned toward Su Ziyu.

——"Flashing!"

Su Ziyu's figure instantly disappeared from the spot, frowning as he looked at the black-clad Seimei. Raising his hand, an astonishing lightning bolt struck down from above.

——"Thunder Strike!"

After upgrading his Spiritual Energy to LV6, the thunder summoned by Su Ziyu was more astonishing than Abe no Seimei's Thunder Technique. Accompanied by a crackling lightning flash, the black-clad Seimei was unable to maintain his initial superior posture, scorched all over, with half of his face already exposed to the dark red flesh beneath.

"Thunder Technique!?"

"Thunder Technique!?"

Both Abe no Seimeis were startled; the black-clad Seimei showed a wary expression.

His injuries were healing quickly, not looking like a human. Just within a few breaths, the charred skin was restored, regaining the appearance of a handsome young gentleman.

Upon closer observation, one would find that the face of the black-clad Seimei looked younger than the white-clad one.

"Humph!"

"Consider yourself lucky today! Let's go!" The black-clad Seimei cast a cold glance at Su Ziyu, dropped a harsh parting remark to the white-clad Seimei, and then hurriedly disappeared with the Red Prajna.

Cough cough.

Just as the black-clad Seimei disappeared, a trickle of blood flowed from the corner of the white-clad Seimei's mouth, with Yin Yang Masters immediately guarding his sides.

"Thank you for your assistance!" The white-clad Abe no Seimei forced himself to remain polite and expressed his gratitude.

"It's nothing." Su Ziyu looked at the Yin Yang Masters and asked in a deep voice, "Who's that guy who looks just like you?"

"Why does he have the aura of Hell on him!"
