Chapter 37: Cleanup and Aftermath 2

"Want a smoke?"

"How's it going lately?"

Su Ziyu smiled and pressed on Jie Se's wound, causing a trickle of blood to seep out. The guy couldn't help but grunt, smiling wryly, "Don't press it! Those little brats shot me once."

"I'm not like you!"

"Speaking of which, do you have any of that liquor left? Can I have a sip?"

This guy is shameless, not because of his injury, probably just craving it.

"No more." Su Ziyu smiled and regarded Jie Se in front of him, suggesting, "You're already like this. Interested in a more thorough transformation?"

Upon hearing this, Jie Se's expression turned a bit serious, chuckled, and said, "You're talking about Bionic Transformation?"

"Sure!"

"I've long thought about it. But there's been no opportunity!"

Ordinary people can't access Bionic Transformation. What circulates outside is simple mechanical modification. Not everyone has Pasha's kind of resources and status.

"Go to this place." Su Ziyu handed a sealed document to Jie Se and slowly said, "They will perform Advanced Bionic Transformation for you. Also, you can buy Exoskeleton Power Armor here, but they can only provide you with three sets of old Exoskeleton Armor."

"Having them is enough." Jie Se paused after speaking, hesitantly asking, "Did you just say Advanced Bionic Transformation?"

"Yes." Su Ziyu calmly nodded.

Jie Se's expression showed a hint of excitement but was well-controlled. He patted his chest and said, "No worries. In the future, just let me know your orders."

"I'll risk my life to help you."

Su Ziyu smiled without saying much, treating Jie Se as an investment he personally favored, maybe useful in the future.

He didn't linger long and left the water plant camp that same day.

Ankapulo Farm.

On the surface, it's a small gathering spot producing food, but in fact, it's a Genetics Faction controlled secret base.

To the south of Ankapulo Farm, there's a small power plant heavily guarded with dozens of gunmen stationed daily. The hidden forces remain unknown to the outside world. However, the power plant was eerily silent right then, as if all guards had disappeared, leaving behind only a faint, dripping sound.

Below the power plant is a concealed underground shelter.

At this time, multiple corpses were lying on the ground, including normal people, modified individuals, and mutants, each with a blood cavity on their chest, all killed with a single blade strike.

Screams occasionally came from underground.

Subsequently, a slightly cold male voice sounded, "Dr. Walker? Right? I heard you also have a daughter?"

"I imagine you can understand the sentiment of an enraged father right now?"

"Can't you?"

"Speak! Who else secretly executed the Genetic Modification plan within the Academy?"

Accompanied by a painful scream, the man's cold voice continued, "Still not planning to talk? Fine! Then I'll use another method to obtain the information I want."

"Though I'm not very skilled."

"If I accidentally turn you into a fool, I suppose you wouldn't blame me."

"After all, I'll soon release you."

"Now."

"Look into my eyes."

About half an hour later, Su Ziyu emerged from the underground shelter, wearing a large black coat with a cigarette hanging from his mouth, his feet smeared with blood. He frowned slightly and wiped on a corpse's clothing, then flicked his fingers, letting a wisp of flame drop silently.

Boom.

Soon, the entire power plant was engulfed in flames.

Su Ziyu's figure vanished from there; he had many targets to solve and couldn't waste too much time.

After turning three sub-point managers into idiots, Su Ziyu finally obtained some desired information through forced Mind Control. Before the Academy's civil war, the Genetics Faction secretly executed a highly inhumane covert plan; selecting some children from Academy students for experimental injections of the latest Genetic Modification Potion. In the past, Academy experiments targeted adults, but the irreversible intellectual loss caused by adult mutations was a serious issue. Many adults had suffered severe radiation pollution, and injected the Antiradiation Potion.

So this time, they lowered the Genetic Potion concentration, secretly mixing it using vaccine injection style to selected children without radiation exposure or Antiradiation Potion. These children's bodies were just developing, aiming to test if low-dose genetic modification throughout human growth could reduce side effects or achieve unexpected results.

Of course, the Academy strictly prohibited such actions.

However, the Genetics Faction remained hidden. If not for the civil war outbreak, this plan might not have exposed quickly.

The little girl was one of the selected experimenters and the sole escapee.

Perhaps due to Pasha's protection, she hadn't injected any Antiradiation Potion, or perhaps due to Su Ziyu's genes, the girl achieved perfect modification, retaining Mutants' abilities without enduring any side effects.

The plan was led by a person named Dr. G, who even attempted to send people to recapture the girl.

However, due to Su Ziyu's interference, his subordinates ended up dead.

The plan had to be postponed, and as the Genetics Faction shifted focus southward, reaching the distant Polaris Region was almost impossible. After Solomon's reappearance, their focus shifted toward mysterious marine creatures. Many personnel were dispatched near the Pacific Region, leaving little support for the girl's capture plan, forced to shelve.

After all, Su Ziyu learned the girl was a 'Perfect Mutant' from Space-Time Apostle data, while the Genetics Faction still considered her an escaped experimenter.

If the capture costs are too high.

But not everyone gave up; the plan's original leader, Dr. G, persisted. However, before he found the chance to act, a terrifying man found him first.

On a Pacific Region island.

Inside a very concealed underground shelter, a handsome man with striking blonde hair entered. His glance swept across others, slowly asking, "Haven't found Mother Yisodel's whereabouts yet?"

"No." A middle-aged man beside him replied with anxiety.

"Keep searching." The blonde man frowned, "She may have achieved High Tier mutation. She carries the gene data we need."

His gaze fell on a somewhat fearful woman nearby, and he slowly asked, "What bad news do you bring now?"

"I..." The woman nervously replied, "Our personnel in the northern region suffered a severe blow."

"We lost contact with them."

A long list was handed over, the top labeled as 'Dr. G', below were dozens of names and codes.

"Sent people to investigate?" The blonde man's face darkened.

"Yes." The woman spoke quietly, "Our point got hit by enemies three times in a row over three days."

"But we haven't found their corpses."

Let alone bodies, even the ashes were scattered.
