The second prince of Lothric was deemed a pitiable being destined to be a Lord of Cinder from birth.

However, this second prince seemed to bear a curse, frail and sickly. His brother, Prince Lorien, willingly shared the curse to protect him, intertwining their souls. Hence, when people speak of the Prince of Lothric, they often refer to the two of them. At some point, the Prince of Lothric began to resist the Fire Transmission, even outright opposing it, preparing to welcome the coming dark age after the flame fades.

If a Lord of Cinder refuses to transmit fire, then naturally it is the turn of the Undead.

But alas, Prince Lorien is simply too formidable.

This prince led an army to the lair of demons and single-handedly defeated the Demon Prince born from the Bed of Chaos. Even sharing his brother's curse, he is a formidable force not to be reckoned with by ordinary people.

There was no choice.

The supporters of Fire Transmission could only ring the ancient bell to awaken the embers of those who had once been Lords of Cinder.

This meant that a stronger group of Undead embers were awakened.

Yet even so, the supporters of Fire Transmission felt insecure, so they awakened even those past Lords of Cinder who had once been burned but not entirely perished.

Among them were— Eldritch, the Deep Saint, Giant King Yum, Abyss Watcher of Farron's Undead Squad, and Rudus the Soul Warlock.

And the result?

Except for Rudus the Soul Warlock heading to the Fire Transmission Ritual Site, all the other Lords of Cinder refused.

Eldritch, the Deep Saint, is now known as 'Eldritch, Devourer of Gods.' The specifics are not very clear to Nun Fried, only that Eldritch devoured a deity, the son of the Sun King Gwyn, Shadow Sun Gwendolin.

After devouring a deity, Eldritch hid, likely waiting somewhere to fully digest it.

Giant King Yum remains on his throne in the City of Sin, reportedly already corrupted by the Abyss, utterly ignoring the call of the Fire Transmission, and ruthlessly killing anyone who approaches.

Farron's fortress has been sealed, and the Abyss Watcher of Farron's Undead Squad has not been seen for a long time.

In other words, except for the Soul Warlock Rudus, the other four Lords of Cinder all refused the Fire Transmission, and some Lords of Cinder, already burned once but not fully perished, accomplished quite significant deeds. Eldritch, the Deep Saint, upon awakening, devoured the last true divine descendant.

"Is this what it has come to?"

"You Undead still stubbornly cling to the Fire Transmission?" Su Ziyu thought secretly.

The Fire Transmission Faction and the Fire Extinguishing Faction openly broke ties.

The Lothric Kingdom turned to ruins amidst the battle, with rumors of many enormous dragon corpses still lying within the royal city.

After maintaining the Fire Transmission Ceremony for so long, many have fallen into despair. They no longer wish to continue the Fire Transmission, preferring to face the dark age after the flame's extinction, hoping for the world's rebirth someday.

This situation persisted until the arrival of Su Ziyu.

An unknown entity learned of Su Ziyu's arrival and discovered Divine Power within him, thus birthing the sixth Lord of Cinder who could burn for a little longer.

It was him.

Su Ziyu, possessing Divine Power, an unburned fresh Lord of Cinder.

After sending away the bothersome Nun Fried, Hawkwood once again fell into inexplicable depression.

But he couldn't remain despondent for long, as a heavy footfall gradually approached.

He involuntarily raised his head, seemingly catching a glimpse of dazzling light. It was a knight clad in full heavy armor, exuding an overwhelming aura. His face was entirely concealed beneath his helmet, with only a pair of eyes faintly glowing with firelight, traces of flame appearing on his body, sparks dancing and scattering. The imposing knight looked down at Hawkwood and suddenly spoke.

——"Praise the Sun!!!"
