Wasteland Commander

Chapter 128: War Hawk and Female Deer

Ye Fan switched to the perspective of the War Hawk, and immediately felt a difference.

Through the War Hawk's vision, he could clearly see everything on the ground below.

Ye Fan's left eye vision was already incredibly sharp, but the War Hawk's vision surpassed even his.

After all, human eyes can't compare to an eagle's, flying in the sky, able to spot mice on the ground, let alone this War Hawk, which is a Mutant Beast.

The huge wings spread out, nearly four meters long, resembling a small airplane in the sky.

The flight speed was fast, casting a shadow wherever it passed.

The War Hawk flew to the Xing'an Mountain Range.

Flying along the mountain range, he could see a row of wind turbines on the leeward side.

Flying further, Ye Fan saw his mining site.

A Trans-Space Mining Site was unloading ore, adding a few hundred to his Money.

A flock of Mutated Birds flew over the mountain range, panicking and fleeing as the War Hawk approached.

One creature conquers another, a natural law, making the War Hawk essentially the aerial overlord.

And this was even in the No-Star state, Ye Fan wondered if upgrading the War Hawk to Three-Star might enable it to carry people.

The Xing'an Mountain Range was too vast, after flying for a while, the War Hawk returned.

On the way back, Ye Fan spotted a zombie downstream of the Star River.

There weren't many zombies nearby, and Ye Fan was too lazy to deal with some sparse ones.

Now seeing one, he decided to test the War Hawk's strength.

Issuing the attack order, the War Hawk immediately swooped down.

Sharp claws locked onto the zombie, and the swooping speed made Ye Fan feel a bit dizzy.

Lightning struck, claws reached out!

Snap~~~!

Ye Fan didn't even see what happened, and the zombie's head was already snatched into the skies by the War Hawk!

The body fell limply, the zombie dead.

"Good grief, directly decapitated it!"

Through this lightning strike, Ye Fan gained a rough understanding of the War Hawk's strength.

Not daring to claim it could take down Iron Armor with one strike, but disposing of ordinary zombies or humans posed no problem.

"Nice, toss away that head and come back."

The War Hawk discarded the zombie head and returned to the airport.

The airport now called Dawn Airport, near the Main City District side, had a row of big trees where the War Hawk could rest and stay.

With the War Hawk returning, more War Hawks were being produced.

Ten enormous War Hawks perched in the shade of the trees, difficult to spot from outside.

But getting close, looking at these ten majestic beasts, the scene was simply beautiful.

Ye Fan gave orders to these ten War Hawks.

Patrol in turn within the radar range daily, eliminate scattered zombies, and promote stars quickly.

He wanted to create a safety zone within the radar range, dispatching troops for scattered zombies was too troublesome, the War Hawk was perfect.

After issuing the orders, the second and third War Hawks immediately took off, flying towards two different airspaces.

Spotting anything important within their vision range, they would immediately request to connect to Ye Fan's perspective too.

With these big guys, Dawn City's territorial safety was further enhanced.

At this moment, the first Female Deer helicopter was also produced.

A red and white helicopter, looking lightweight, but with a capacity not of three people, but six people.

The aircraft was installed with a cannon, carrying 2000 rounds.

Apart from that, there were no other weapons, the maximum flight distance being five hundred kilometers.

This distance sufficed, able to fly from here to Coal City, or fly to Huacheng and then return.

The aircraft came with a pilot named Bi Jinbang.

Upon seeing Ye Fan, he immediately saluted to report.

"Female Deer helicopter pilot Bi Jinbang reporting to the officer!"

Ye Fan returned the salute, this helicopter now considered his private ride.

His RV hadn't been out for a while, having been unused, he would use the car when needed, or the aircraft when needed.

"You can park this aircraft above my private residence, when I need it, I can directly board from my residence."

"Understood!"

Bi Jinbang piloted the helicopter, taking off directly, flying towards Ye Fan's residence.

Ye Fan stood by, waiting for the Combat Helicopter, the time felt a bit long, so he went to rest in the airport terminal.

The terminal had all kinds of amenities fully equipped, every level of officer arriving here receiving different treatments.

Ye Fan naturally getting top treatment, with a dedicated lounge, ground staff served coffee to him.

Ye Fan took a sip, unsure of the brand, but the taste was good.

At this time, the logistics officer Zhang Kunlin sent a message to Ye Fan.

"Sir, the base's building materials are running low. Should we send the troops out to collect more?"

In recent days, the troops haven't gone out to gather supplies, as winter is approaching and all efforts are focused on construction.

Especially with the commencement of the outer city walls, the Dawn Army's stored supplies are being rapidly consumed.

Hearing Zhang Kunlin's report, Ye Fan checked and found that the amount of rebar and cement was nearly depleted.

"Alright, have the soldiers of Regiment One pause construction and go out to collect supplies. But where should we go?"

"Sir, the construction market in Qinghe has already been emptied by us. If we need to go anywhere, it could only be to Huacheng City, or Linhai County."

"Then let's go to Linhai County; after all, it's a bit closer than Huacheng, and there are fewer zombies, making it easier for Regiment One to handle any situation."

After speaking, Ye Fan issued the order for Chief of Staff Zhongjing to lead the team and depart for Linhai.

Zhongjing immediately accepted the order, taking Regiment One and an engineer platoon, along with a T5 tank, as they set off.

They drove off with all of the base's trucks, dozens of them, leaving in a grand convoy.

With the fighting capacity of Regiment One, as long as they don't encounter more than ten thousand zombies, they should be fine.

After giving these instructions, Ye Fan sat in the lounge and turned on the radio.

The airwaves crackled, and someone was speaking.

"This is the Wangbei Army....."

"I'm the host Xiaoyi. Since our Survivor Alliance established itself in Huacheng, we've always adhered to the ideal of eradicating zombies and restoring civilization and have fought tirelessly for this cause. Our alliance's warriors have successively advanced, fearlessly sacrificing themselves, creating many moving and heroic tales....."

"This great situation must not be destroyed, but lately, a certain faction leader has been throwing his weight around, deliberately framing people from our alliance, and using it to extort money. Such lowly character and vile deeds are outrageous."

"Here, our alliance solemnly states that we hope some people will restrain themselves. If they continue to cause trouble here, they will be against the entire alliance, and the alliance will spare no mercy!"

"We hope the broader survivor community is not misled by ridiculous statements from certain individuals. In the face of humanity's modern weapons, zombies are nothing more than a horde of unintelligent monsters, and they will eventually be completely eliminated. Certain factions aren't as solid or stable as you might imagine; the only way to achieve a stable and happy life is to join the Survivor Alliance."

"We only ask for some food, whereas certain people demand gold. Can everyone really trust the character of such people?"

Upon hearing this, Ye Fan couldn't help but sneer.

The Survivor Alliance is clearly trying to stir up trouble.

He never intended to subordinate himself to the Survivor Alliance, nor does he believe this alliance can lead the survivors of Huacheng out of their predicament.

It is evident that the Survivor Alliance already sees him as a thorn in their side.

Presently, their approach is to create a media buzz, first putting him in a position to be publicly condemned, after which they can find excuses to cause trouble and seek opportunities to take action against him.

However, Ye Fan doesn't care. If they come, so be it; whether in offensive or defensive operations, the Dawn Army fears no one.

When it comes to defense, there's no need to say more; no matter how many the Survivor Alliance sends, they will likely face heavy losses.

For offensive operations, targeting any single faction isn't a problem.

The only slight concern is the Wangbei Army.

This group has seven thousand armed forces, a full brigade.

Moreover, they are backed by the Shenlong River, and there's the potential threat of the Rakshasa, which could be slightly troublesome.

But if it really comes down to an all-out fight, the Dawn Army still has a good chance of winning, although Ye Fan is reluctant to expend resources on such battles.

And if those armed forces are crushed, the survival of the remaining survivors also becomes an issue, something Ye Fan must consider.

This is one of the main reasons Ye Fan has yet to take action against the Survivor Alliance.

But now, it seems that the Survivor Alliance is finding it hard to hold back.

"If it truly comes to a fight, we'll need to strike them with such force that they won't dare to harbor any other schemes again."

Ye Fan reclined in his seat for a while, feeling as if time passed slowly.

"Let's go, let's get on the plane and take a spin around."

Xiang Bi Jinbang gave the order and called for the Mi-24 helicopter, with Zhuge Yunxue and a few other guards closely following behind.

The Mi-24 landed in front of the terminal, and Ye Fan boarded the helicopter.

Shen Ruihui took the co-pilot's seat, while Ye Fan, along with Zhuge Yunxue and several female soldiers, also boarded.

Exactly six people, and the helicopter took off.

Bi Jinbang asked Ye Fan, "Sir, where would you like to go?"

"Hmm..... let's head over to Coal City; we came here without knowing the situation there."

"Alright."

The helicopter rose vertically, creating a strong gust of wind, and after ascending several hundred meters, it flew in the direction of Coal City.

From high in the sky, Ye Fan glanced below at the base, spotting several guards feeding Xiaoba by the pond.

It was only then that he recalled Shen Ruihui had somehow come back again.

Too lazy to argue with him, Ye Fan focused on enjoying the scenery on his first helicopter ride.

The helicopter gradually flew away from the base, heading in the direction of Coal City.

The temperature in the sky was a bit low, so the cabin door was closed.

After a while of flying, before they reached Coal City, the pilot Bi Jinbang suddenly spoke to Ye Fan.

"Sir, a large group of people has been spotted headed towards our base."

Ye Fan was taken aback and quickly closed one eye, leaning out to look down.

On the ground below, he saw a convoy speeding toward Dawn City. Their pace was fast, but their formation was disorganized, appearing very ragged.
