Wizard: I Have a Game Panel

Chapter 183: Patience Reason and Wisdom

Three hundred miles away from the newly established Lor Wizard Tower, inside a house temporarily designated as the advanced dormitory for apprentices.

A young child with a tender face and a head full of green hair sat at the desk, holding a quill, carefully flipping through the book titled Basic Earthen Fire Rune Combination Analysis.

From time to time, he would stop flipping through and jot down some of his own understanding of the book's content on the parchment beside him.

From time to time, he would look puzzled, flipping back and forth on one page.

After flipping through four or five times, he still couldn't understand, so he just wrote down his doubts on the next parchment.

Now, he has no mentor or parents to consult, and can only wait until the open class on Monday to ask questions.

When he turned to the next page and once again appeared puzzled, he suddenly heard a gentle voice whisper in his ear.

"The ultimate goal of this basic rune combination is to stabilize the entire rune structure so it doesn't fall apart halfway through construction. Don't focus solely on this small structure; consider it as a whole."

"Right!" The young boy smacked his forehead in frustration, "Why didn't I think of that earlier?"

"Haha, it's normal. Although apprentice-level rune structure combinations are simple, they're still somewhat beyond your scope, little one. Take it slow. On the path of learning and inheritance, moving steadily is more important than anything else," the gentle voice spoke again in his ear.

"Yes, thank you... Ah?!" Villan was halfway through his words before stopping abruptly.

Because he had just realized that he was clearly in the dormitory study room.

Besides himself, there should be no one else here.

Could it be that some wizard has taken a liking to him and wants to take him as a student?

Villan looked expectantly in the direction the voice came from and found a young man in a black wizard robe looking at him warmly, with a handsome face and eyes deep as stars.

He habitually glanced at the collar of the wizard robe, but found no insignia, and couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed.

He thought...wait!

Hold on!

A wizard robe without an insignia?!

Villan remembered what his father once said, in the Wizard Alliance, only one kind of wizard has no insignia on their collar, and that is the Speaker!

Could it be...

No way?

Could he really be...

Impossible!

Villan thought of this possibility and unconsciously held his breath, his mind a mess, not even knowing what he was thinking.

"Tap tap tap—"

The handsome young man slowly walked up to Villan, gently ruffling his hair, looked at his little flushed face that was holding his breath, and chuckled, "Little one, you haven't even become a one-ring wizard, remember to breathe!"

"Squeak—"

Upon hearing this, Villan shot up straight as if electrocuted, and the chair was thrown back against the bookshelf, making a piercing scraping sound.

"I... I've seen the Lo...Lor Speaker."

He bent down stiffly, a hand to his chest, his face bright red, stuttering as he expressed his utmost respect to the young man before him.

This time, his face flushed not from holding his breath, but from excitement.

Standing before him was none other than the legendary Lor Speaker!

The legendary figure who had been in existence since he was born.

His father said that if it weren't for the Lor Speaker defeating the fourth-tier demon, he might not even have survived.

Every year on November 12, Demon-slaying Day, his whole family... no, the entire Warren City would be plunged into a sea of celebration, the excitement second only to the annual birthday celebration.

And this holiday was established to honor the Lor Speaker.

"No need for formalities, little one." Lor gently lifted the small guy's shoulder in front of him, making him stand straight, then asked, "Do you know why I'm here?"

"Ah?" Villan looked up at Lor, with a big bewildered expression on his little face.

Having seen the legend with his own eyes and having conversed and interacted, left his mind in a daze.

Think?

Answer questions?

He wanted to, but his brain wouldn't listen!

"Hmm, it seems I've come a bit abruptly, catching you unprepared?" Lor said with a smile, "If you haven't thought of an answer, I might just leave!"

Before coming, he had investigated this little guy's background.

The fact that this little guy, a resident of Warren City, was willing to come to him indeed surprised him and made him more fond of this little fellow.

But the necessary assessments couldn't be skipped.

He didn't expect his students to have outstanding meditation talent; with abundant resources, even without talent, spiritual power could be improved.

But for a wizard to grow, patience, rationality, and the wisdom which is hard to cultivate are indispensable qualities.

"Leave?" Villan panicked as soon as he heard the Lor Speaker speak of leaving.

He had a premonition that if the Lor Speaker did leave, this moment would become a lifelong regret.

Realizing this, Villan suddenly felt his mind become much clearer.

"Why would the Lor Speaker come looking for me?" He thought quickly in an attempt to ponder this question.

After thinking it over, he arrived at only one answer, that the Lor Speaker wanted to take him as a student.

But... is this possible?

He thought that although his talent was barely okay, the most he could hope for was attracting a Third Ring Great Wizard to take him as a student.

As for becoming a student of someone as significant as the Lor Speaker, he had never even entertained the idea.

But apart from this answer, he really couldn't come up with anything else!

As he hesitated, he suddenly noticed the Lor Speaker, looking regretful, slowly turning around, seemingly about to disappear in the next second.
