Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 135: Blood Moon and Harpies (Part 2)

Humans might never be able to form an air cavalry force comparable in scale to the monsters.

The air cavalry in his territory, even with the Swan Shooters included, barely numbered over ten, while the monsters numbered in the thousands.

This is why even 10 Flying Horse Knights would be severely weakened just trying to kill all these Harpies.

So he didn't stubbornly hold his ground and rationally landed directly on the eager Death's Claw.

A large number of Hesse Guard Knights immediately came to protect him, and if the Harpies dared to dive down, they'd definitely be blocked by the knights' ironclad defensive formation.

A landed Phoenix is less than a chicken. If these Harpies land for close combat, the Armed Attendants could easily slaughter them.

But they aren't any better off when airborne. The Archers and Dwarfs in various Arrow Towers, watchtowers, and defensive towers are shooting wildly from shooting ports.

The Harpies' high mobility is bought at the cost of their own weight, leaving them with no protection except for talons sharp as scythes. It's not just that they're unarmed; they're often naked, with most Harpies wearing only a dirty pair of underwear on the lower half, and some completely nude.

This leads to both firearms' bullets and Half-Elves' arrows easily piercing their bodies. As long as the attack hits, it penetrates up to ten centimeters, and bullets can even pass right through their chest and abdomen.

A squadron of Thundering Musketeers on the ground fires in unison, showering the sky with a bloody rain, with corpses, severed limbs, and feathers dropping like a dumpling rain.

Dorglin roared excitedly, raising a golden dwarf single-barreled telescope, and shouted, "These evil, despicable monsters, let you witness the power of the Dwarves."

"Surveyor's Sniping Telescope effect triggered! Dwarves, enjoy sniping!"

With his shout, a green light emitted from the golden telescope, instantly enveloping the entire squadron of Thundering Musketeers below.

Every Dwarf's firearm surged with cyan-green rune energy, and even the fired bullets turned from fiery red to cyan-green, greatly enhancing their power, speed, penetration, and precision.

With just one volley, the Dwarves shot down over 40 Harpies swiftly flying across the sky.

Hitting such fast-moving targets with such high accuracy, this sniping could be deemed as bulletproof.

Moreover, Su Li personally witnessed several cyan-green bullets pierce through the chests of Harpies, exit through their backs, splattering blood, but still continuing to penetrate the bodies of nearby Harpies, causing horrific wounds.

This terrifyingly precise sniping is merely a normal attack for the Dwarves. The sniping effect of this telescope on the Thundering Musketeers lasted quite a while, allowing them to continuously shoot out numerous cyan-green projectiles, slaughtering countless flying monsters in the sky.

Hilude, following beside Su Li, brightened at the sight, "Didn't expect Dorglin to get ahold of such a treasure."

Su Li also appeared delighted, clearly recalling that in the last clash with the Demon Army, Dorglin didn't have this treasure.

Now over a month has passed, it's uncertain whether he excavated this treasure from the ruins or purchased it with a substantial amount of Dwarf Oath Gold from the mountains.

Anyway, this item in his hands evidently enhanced the firing capability of the musketeers significantly.

From the effect, this is undoubtedly an Dwarven Ancient Relic equivalent to a human Holy Relic of Glory.

As Su Li was observing, this Dwarf roared again, raised the Surveyor's Sniping Telescope, and blessed another squadron of Thundering Musketeers.

The two squads engaged in crossfire; the Harpies in the sky couldn't dodge at all, their blood and bodies constantly falling, drenching the entire sky in a vivid crimson rain.

Contrary to Su Li's expectation of them furiously charging down, the hundreds of Harpies flocking in teams lost their courage and fled backward screeching.

This situation made Dorglin shout triumphantly, his stamina very robust, and despite the consumption of using the Ancient Relic twice, he only became slightly breathless.

And with the monsters already in retreat, he immediately put away the telescope, vigorously shouted, "Dwarves, continue the hunt with me for these monsters."

Flocks of Harpies in retreat significantly spread the monsters' fear, especially inside the fortress, with each tower and shooting port continually firing arrows outward, filling the sky with bullets and bolts giving the monsters a constant onslaught.

The previously sky-covering monsters rapidly thinned under relentless attack, and hundreds were shot down, with the remaining ones fleeing the camp in disarray.

But before the territory's soldiers could cheer, a massive shadow spread its wings from afar, covering the sky and nearly obscuring half the bloody red moon.

"It's the Two-legged Flying Dragon King Sandarion!" Hilude immediately gripped her Rune Sword, looking toward the sky with a resolute fighting spirit.

Dorglin, too, calmed down from his excitement, put away his large-caliber firearm; just moments ago, he used this Rune Fire Gun to kill 32 rampaging Harpies.
