Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 138: The Second Divine Chosen Knight and Rare Materials for Forging Divine Chosen Weapons

The monsters' hasty retreat greatly enraged the Two-legged Flying Dragon King, Sandarion.

Its foolish mind couldn't comprehend why, despite being the strongest Divine Chosen level entity on the battlefield and commanding a monster legion several times larger than the enemy, both in scale and power, it was losing so miserably, with defeated troops fleeing in all directions! How had the battle evolved to this point against the humans, who were terrified and hiding behind the walls?

But it was well aware that if it lost this battle, its cruel and heartless mistress would surely turn it into an ugly insect.

Thus, it couldn't and wouldn't dare accept defeat. Faced with these circumstances, it roared in anger, diving down from the sky like a meteor sweeping across the battlefield. The gusts from its wings instantly awakened the minds of countless monsters shrouded in fear.

The monsters still had one last means of turning the tide!

And that was the most powerful leader of the monster legion, Sandarion.

As long as Sandarion could guard the breach and hold off the charging human cavalry, the monster legion still had a chance! The massive monster legion would overwhelm the fortress's defenders with tidal waves of sheer numbers.

Sandarion lived up to its terrifying Divine Chosen strength. With one swoop, it grabbed two elite level knights, tossing them into the air before landing heavily amid the knights' charging formation. Stretching its neck and opening its massive mouth, it bit a powerful Corona Knight and his horse in half, flinging the remains into the center of the battlefield.

Its formidable presence finally took effect, and the monsters that were already overwhelmed by fear, upon passing by it, were instantly influenced by the "Inspire Allies" effect, regaining their morale.

The monsters didn't need to reorganize their formation; they just needed the courage to fight and could reenter the fierce combat on the battlefield.

This scene infuriated Captain Constantine of the Corona Knight Order. It seemed that in every battle, the outcome would be turned by a Divine Chosen monster.

But this time, he would not allow it!

As the monsters rampaged wildly, sweeping away four or five knights with enormous wings, Constantine raised his battle halberd, roaring, "Corona Knight Order, charge with me! Today, I'll personally slay this evil monster right here!"

Sandarion was thoroughly enraged by this impassioned battle cry. Opening its massive mouth, it roared furiously at Constantine: "Ah! Damned worm, how dare a mere champion level boast, I will devour you!"

The enormous soundwave swept across the battlefield, forcing the horses to close their eyes, but it had no effect on the elite knights, the weakest present.

Riding his Half Griffin, Constantine charged ahead, with the Corona Knight Order forming a formation behind him, charging towards the golden dawn light. On their path, a dazzling golden light like a corona burst forth, instantly scorching Sandarion's vicious eyes.

[Divine Magic: Blinding Radiance]!

In agony, Sandarion howled under the searing light, blinded by the intense golden light and blurred afterimages, unable to see the movements of the surrounding human knights clearly.

Not until Constantine's weapon, enveloped in a layer of golden light, pierced the membrane beneath its wings did it realize how incredibly fast these knights were attacking!

Instinctively, it spewed a breath of acidic saliva, but to its shock, the deadly acidic breath had no effect. It didn't hear a single cry of agony, as if the knights had prepared for its breath's angle and timing.

Did it have a problem with its hearing too? How could everyone dodge the breath of a Divine Chosen level creature?

Its melee combat technique was impacted, but why did its acidic breath also fail?

Why were there only the sounds of clashing metal and no human screams on the battlefield?

Before it could ponder any further, numerous knights had already charged forward with Constantine, racing past its enormous body. Many rune weapons slashed and stabbed into its wings covered with dragon scales. Swords hacked, axes chopped, spears thrust—just one cavalry charge left over a dozen massive wounds on its body.

Su Li, riding the Death's Claw in the sky, overlooked the spectacular scene of the battlefield. From above, he could clearly see the massive body of the Two-legged Flying Dragon, as huge as a mountain, roaring in agony and rampaging angrily, every wing sweep sending three or four golden knights flying.

This fearsome attack could only be withstood by knights with strong physiques clad in heavy armor. If any slightly weaker soldiers attempted to besiege this giant, the monster's single rampage might have resulted in dozens of casualties.

The Imperial Knights' courage was indeed at a level comparable to demons. Even facing such a massive and rampaging monster, they charged bravely, without fear of death.

Looking down from the high sky, one could see teams of knights in neat formations, surging like waves towards the massive Two-legged Flying Dragon. In this battle of disproportionate sizes, the knights were like tidal waves, resolutely attempting to topple the black giant rock standing in the middle of the battlefield.

The intense and fierce battle intermittently saw Imperial knights being swept away. Despite the three knight orders besieging this formidable monster, they paid a heavy price of dozens of casualties and still found it difficult to bring it down.
