Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 153: Lion King Title and Red Brotherhood (Part 4)

The knight seated at the front looked young, with a head of golden strands of hair. His handsome face carried a sunny smile. At first glance, he seemed a dashing and charismatic knight, capable of inciting endless screams and madness from numerous young ladies with just a slight smile.

The last knight had a full face of beard and bushy eyebrows. His gray hair was messily flopped upon his head, and he wore a heavy wolf fur coat draped over his back and shoulders, with the wolf's head biting down on his shoulder. He was clearly a follower of Yurik.

Once everyone was seated, Su Li spread his hands and extended a finger, saying, "My High-level Attendant Chief briefly introduced your situation to me. But to enhance understanding, you all can first introduce yourselves in detail. Who wants to go first?"

"Me! Me! I'll go first!" As soon as Su Li finished speaking, a middle-aged man in a red leather robe decisively raised his right hand: "Knight Suli, please allow me to introduce our powerful Red Brotherhood to you."

Su Li frowned and had a poor impression of this middle-aged man in red leather, whose slim figure carried none of the proud, domineering, crude yet candid aura typical of knights. Instead, he seemed very cunning.

If Su Li were a solitary knight, such a person wouldn't even be qualified to communicate with him.

However, as a lord, he needed to have a broad mind that embraced diversity. Hence, despite his inner displeasure, he maintained an impassive expression, showing no anger or joy while looking at him.

Ignoring Su Li's response, he began boasting on his own: "Our Red Brotherhood is deeply rooted in the East of the Border Prince's Territory as a formidable warband."

"I am the leader, Wandering Son Luo Ou. Our Brotherhood consists of 80-120 Red Brotherhood thieves, 60-80 highway bandits, 60 Red Brotherhood members, 40 Gold Worship Warriors, and 20 Rogue Knights. All of us are willing to serve the Hesse Territory."

Su Li quickly calculated and realized that the Brotherhood's membership totaled over 300 people!

Although most of them were armed ruffians and highway bandits lacking combat power, the scale was indeed considerable.

A group of 300, even if they were Green Forest Bandits, would deter any ordinary forces from provoking them.

Against small villages, towns, and even Pioneer Lords, they held an overwhelming advantage.

The key point is that these people didn't require Su Li to pay their salaries; only when they received tasks assigned by the Hesse Territory would compensation need to be provided.

During critical moments of war outbreak, Su Li needed to attract every possible force to strengthen his power. This group of over 300 was vital to the outcome of the war, and he naturally hoped to bring them under his control.

Thus, sometimes even ambitious feudal lords and rulers had to accept "wise warriors" among "groups of bandits."

After a brief contemplation, Su Li asked, "Wandering Son Luo Ou, you should be aware that we are a territory protected by Her Majesty Violet, the Fiery Sun Goddess, and our relations with the Lanode Church are hostile. Tell me, what can you do to convince me to accept you?"

Luo Ou immediately stood up with excitement and said, "Lord, then we are resolute allies. Because our Gold Worship Church also constantly conflicts with the Lanode Church."

"Our belief in the Hendricks Church, also known as the Gold Worship Sect, is relatively new within the Empire's cities, lacking the longstanding history and conflicts of other faiths spanning thousands of years. The only true rival is the Lanode Church, its competing counterpart. We encounter conflicts with members from the Lanode Church in many commercial activities. Up till now, the competition between our two factions has remained at the level of gang warfare."

"If you don't mind, I believe I have many informal means to aid you."
