Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 282: Troublesome Quete and Future Territory Planning

Speaking of which, Zong Shen's territory is actually considered one of the less densely populated areas of Burrow Monsters in the entire region.

Since the first day, apart from solo raiding a Burrow Frontline, Zong Shen has basically organized a Hunting Team every day, spending at least four to five hours on a deliberate hunt each time, and his territory manages to kill quite a few Burrow Monsters every day as well.

Most of the scattered Burrow Monsters are taken out by the Defense Buildings before they even get close to the territory. Even the smaller swarms are swiftly eliminated by the patrolling defense squads around the area.

In addition, other lords around the area also maintain hunting activities daily, which has kept the monster density around Zong Shen's territory at a relatively low level.

Just today, Zong Shen cleared a large swarm of thousands of Burrow Monsters nearby, making the area around the territory even more serene.

Zong Shen rode Pigsy, leading the Wolf Rider Squad and the Exploration Squad warriors through the east gate into the territory. The Kobolds had finished their gathering work and returned to the Houses, and the farmers had also completed their training for the day, now sitting in small groups on the grass chatting.

Zong Shen let Pigsy roam freely next to the stables.

The remaining warriors were also granted the freedom to rest, each going off to wash up or take a break.

Currently, the territory only has two [Simple Toilets], separated by gender, each occupying 30 square meters with six slots, converting waste into odorless fertilizer. The excellent growth of the crops in the farmland area owes much to these fertilizers.

Now, the two toilets can no longer meet the excretion needs of the territory. The first need of the warriors upon return is to relieve themselves. However, Zong Shen currently does not plan to build more toilets or set up any fancy temporary ones. He intends to wait until the Burrow Challenge is over to entirely replan the territory.

At that time, Marie will handle specialized construction planning. Zong Shen has not bothered with any purchasing matters, leaving everything up to Marie. In the past two days, some urgently needed runes and materials have been purchased, costing over twenty thousand units of iron and seven to eight hundred milliliters of Moon God Spring Water.

Now the territory is quite rich in resource reserves. The reason there hasn't been a new wave of construction is due to the Burrow Challenge.

Starting major construction outside the city before the challenge ends would be unwise.

Only a day and a half remain until the challenge ends, so a little delay won't hurt.

Once the Burrow Challenge ends, it will kickstart an era of grand construction and genuinely begin planning for the territory's future development.

The warriors went off to their activities, and San Pang was distributing food to them, but Zong Shen wasn't feeling hungry.

He planned to find Marie to discuss the territory's planning after the end of the Burrow Challenge.

At this time, Marie was chatting with Hoy and Quete by the pasture.

Master Mars is a cattle magnate in Sitanos Village, so Marie has picked up some cattle-rearing experience. Hoy stood beside a prairie cow, gently petting its head with a hand clad in chains.

Quete stood with a fawning look beside Marie, staring dazedly at her side profile.

He and Marie are about the same age, both in the prime of their youth, and just from a short afternoon's interaction, he developed an attraction to Marie.

After all, Marie had grown up without worries, receiving some education, and her appearance was serene and gentle. Though she might lack the charisma compared to some of Zong Shen's female warriors, to a country boy like Quete, her appeal was still fatal.

Hoy was the calmest of them all, seemingly without concepts of romance, or perhaps he has a past unknown to Zong Shen.

Zong Shen silently observed from the back, noting that Quete wasn't behaving well.

He decided to assign Quete to Dogman Hero Dutra later, to start mining outside the territory with a pickaxe tomorrow, not letting the chains hinder his work.

Youngsters should work more, building a strong physique and return to Monar Village solidly.

As for Hoy, Zong Shen plans to bring him in tomorrow's battle; an old fellow indifferent to women isn't really reliable to have around Marie.

Through battle, Hoy can witness the territory's strength and perhaps communicate more with him.

Hoy's value is higher than Quete; he's a true Heroic Level talent, which Zong Shen currently lacks. Quete only represents a task and is about as valuable as an average farmer in terms of ability.

Zong Shen thoughtfully arranged a path for Quete, convinced that following his Kobold ushers he'll definitely learn a hand at mining and return home happily.

Thinking of this, Zong Shen quickly walked over.

"Marie."

"What are you discussing?"

Zong Shen removed his Battle Helmet, holding it under his arm with a cheerful smile.

"Ah, you're back, sir…"

Hearing Zong Shen's voice, Marie quickly turned her head and greeted him respectfully.

Zong Shen nodded slightly, maintaining a gentle smile on his face.

His gaze swept over Quete and Hoy. The former rolled his eyes at him with no other reaction.
