Jiang Yun and Qin Hao were stunned, somewhat unable to believe it.

The voice fell silent.

A young man in white, with a phantom-like figure, appeared out of thin air on the square.

The man in white was a youth with white hair, handsome in appearance, and exuding an aura reminiscent of an immortal.

The appearance of the man in white left Yang Ke'Er and Nalan Ziye both dazed.

The man in white floated barefoot and asked Gu Chenfeng and the others, "Do you wish to accept the test?"

Gu Chenfeng scrutinized the man in white and said calmly, "Of course, I do. I'm not as foolish as those two. Such a good opportunity shouldn't be missed, and with a bit of luck, we might receive your inheritance."

With a wave of the man in white's hand, the space changed instantly.

In the blink of an eye, Yang Ke'Er and Nalan Ziye were transferred to two identical spaces.

In these spaces, besides themselves, there was a pair of lovers and a severely injured and dying man.

Seeing the scene before them, both Yang Ke'Er and Nalan Ziye were stunned.

The voice of the man in white echoed, "They are merely illusions. I need you to make your own choices to complete the test."

"You are correct," the man in white smiled faintly, "Indeed, I am unwilling, always asking myself where exactly I fell short to him."

"You didn't lose to him," Gu Chenfeng shook his head, "She simply didn't love you. She was well aware you couldn't give her what she wanted."

"Couldn't give her what she wanted?" The man in white frowned and asked, "What does that mean? How would a little kid like you know?"

Gu Chenfeng replied with a smile, "Because she didn't want to be under your shadow. She only wanted to take your place and become the most dazzling one."

"But she knew, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't surpass you. Since she couldn't surpass you, she could only destroy you. Once you're gone, she would be the most dazzling one."
