Is it real or an illusion?

Could it be that I've really fallen for the Illusion Technique of the Great Freedom Celestial Demon?

Zhang Chen was filled with disbelief, after all, the fact that his Soul Hooking and Soul Stealing skill was stalling was utterly impossible.

"The distance of the Spiritual First Heaven, can it be so far from the real world? And what on earth is that rugged river?" Zhang Chen sensed the chain and river, with a touch of surprise in his eyes.

However, Zhang Chen's pulling seemed to last a long time; as he stood in the black and white world, he witnessed the stars shifting outside, pulling from night to day, as a morning ray floated from the east.

"How can this not be an illusion? I've been tugging the chain all night, how could it be that I haven't dragged something out?" Zhang Chen cursed.

Just as he was convinced he was trapped in an illusion, and the chain would never reach its end, the chain suddenly slackened, and a bewildered black lotus appeared in the black and white world.

The lotus then twisted, transforming into a human shape, looking at Zhang Chen with bewildered eyes: "What are you doing? How did you drag me to this ghostly place again?"

"Oh, what an act! It really looks convincing!" Zhang Chen locked his gaze on the Great Freedom Celestial Demon, observing every move carefully with caution in his eyes.

"What am I acting? What's going on with you today, dragging me here again. Surely, you aren't thinking of tormenting me in another way?" The Great Freedom Celestial Demon asked, bewilderment in its voice.

"Stop pretending, just tell me when you broke out from my seal and struck me, leading to my fall," Zhang Chen probed further.

The Great Freedom Celestial Demon understood upon hearing this, could it be that this kid was suffering from delusions, suspecting that it had escaped the seal and harmed him?

"If I had such ability, I would have helped Zhong Xiang out of trouble long ago, refining you in that confined space. Do you lack confidence in your own means, or lack confidence in your own strength? You're overestimating me. I have no power left having left the host body. Even if I wanted to attack your mind, I'd need to root and sprout, need to absorb your negative emotions to grow. How could I possibly impact your Essence, Qi, and Spirit in just a few months?" The Great Freedom Celestial Demon pleaded, voice full of grievances.

What could it do? It was helpless too. Encountering such a suspicious person, always paranoid and thinking everyone's out to get him, it's having a hard time too.

Zhang Chen thought it made some sense. If the Great Freedom Celestial Demon had indeed attacked him, it shouldn't have been able to invade him so swiftly, right?
